I have published 6 articles in the last month but so far, only one has been indexed, which is frustrating. I have submitted them to Google independently too and rewritten them

Many folks are effected by this, could by MUM related.

Thanks Abie - I did request indexing but nothing as yet. Just have to wait a little while longer. I expect it will be like buses - nothing for ages then they all arrive at once!

Hope it get moving sooner.

Aside from Google typically being a fickle beast, there could be a vareity of answers, Gail. I'm hanging on to see what they might be!

Jeff

You and me both

Great question, Gail.I have had the same thing happen but looks like @Triblue, is right on top of things as she usually is.

Sonny

Thanks Sonny. I'll have to wait and see a bit longer I guess and just keep writing!

Gail,

It takes a while it seems to get ranked but for some weird reason for me, I submit a post, and shortly it shows up #4 on my keyword targeted and has been there for a while. I also rank with other related keywords. I had this happen a lot lately So, I don't get it at all. You might want to manually check the keywords that you used in a Google search. I am doing that a lot.

OK thanks.

Hey Gail,

This has been discussed at length over the past few months, and it appears to have many different factors.

When I literally took your question to Google, I was surprised to see all of the new information that is now available, including a discussion on Google's own forum: https://support.google.com/webmasters/thread/134007018/indexing-slow-or-non-existent-and-google-news-now-often-missed?hl=en

Hope you find this helpful.

OK great - thanks! Some bedtime reading for me then! :)
All the best. Gail

Thanks, Trish. I have been having the same problem.

Sonny

You're very welcome Sonny, and Thank YOU for letting me know that this helped you too.

I am building a website for my school which is currently hosted here at WA.
I need other people to be able to log in to the site and add diary dates and events, but I don't

You will be able to find your websites within the Websites menu under "SiteManager".

Here is the direct link:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites

Under Details for any of your websites, you will be able to access your WP login details. Those are the details that you can use to log directly into your website. Hope this helps you out! :)

Thank you Kyle.

Good question. I was wondering too. Now I know better.

Yes, you definitely can, by going directly to the Wordpress Admin login page like this -
yourdomainname.com/wp-admin

Same username and password that you see in your Wealthy Affiliate website login screens.

Thank you. Very helpful.

You will also need to create additional accounts within Wordpress so others can log in. Yoy wont want them using the admin account in case someone clicks the wrong thing.

Good point! Thanks

You can yes, you just need to use the URL in this format

https://domain.com/wp-admin/

You can create additional users from within WordPress by clicking on Users -> Add New

Great, thank you.

I'm looking to upgrade my site themes to a premium theme and 2 themes keep coming up in the search engines, although both are a few years old now as far as I can see.
Has a

Now this is interesting because I just recently went through this, looking for a new premium Wordpress theme to use. I had narrowed my decision down to either X-Theme, or Divi.

I've been using Genesis, Lifestyle Pro child on a of couple sites, and wanted a different look for a new site. X-Theme (ThemeCo) is about $60., which includes plugin-ins and forever updates, but can only be used on one site. It appears that Divi (Elegant Theme) is a membership only plan, starting at $69./yr., but includes all of their themes, plus you can use on multiple sites.

Of course, there are many other things to consider too. At first, I thought I would go with Divi, but wound up going with X-Theme. I struggled for the first two weeks with it, having to contact support several times, to get it to do what I wanted, but now that I'm familiar with it, it's going well. For awhile there, I regretted my decision, but now I know what I'm doing.

Here's an article comparing the two: https://athemes.com/reviews/x-theme-vs-divi/

I'm curious to know if Labman had any struggles learning Divi?

In a recent webinar, Jay mentioned he uses Gusto (YooTheme). He loves it because it has many options, a clean look, it's fast and has good support. I did look into it, but didn't like that it was a membership-only subscription, where I'd have to pay annually.

I never knew of Thrive Theme until just now.

Good luck in your decision. -Mark

Thanks for your input Mark. All very valuable to note.

I use Divi for all of my sites now. I'm a convert.

Hey Craig,

Have you put your WA hosted sites with DIVI through the PageSpeed test for mobile lately... and if so, is your site speed in the green for mobile and desktop?

Why I am asking is that many of us are now experiencing major drop in speeds for several different themes on the WA hosted sites... but ONLY on the mobile speed.

I've even had Google report issues with SmartPhones, but when I test loading my site in a SmartPhones, the site loads without issue. It has been suggested that I change my theme.... but... if everyone who has tested their sites lately, are experiencing the same issue...

I'm sure you get my drift.

Thanks Craig

Thanks for this input Trish. According to some of the other comments below, it seems that Thrive is proving to be a bit faster than Divi as you say. I'll check them out.
Gail

@Triblu My sites are blisteringly fast on both mobile and desktop. Even Google agrees.

The key apparently is to limit the number of backups that your site creates. I have mine limited to 3 (using the WP Edit Plugin).

Thanks Gail... though this IS weird, 'cause its my Thrive theme site hosted here that is suffering terribly on mobile.

Have you checked your site speed recently then Craig?

Mine WAS great, but when others started complaining, I tested mine, only to discover the same sorry low score for mobile... yet, when I check my site on SmartPhones, it loads quickly, so I do not understand the issue.

Most of my issues appear to be cache and server response issues. Things I have no control over even though I'm using WA's Extreme cache.

I tried Divi a little while back but made the switch to Thrive Themes. Speed was one of the biggest factors. They are about equal on design and customization..Thrive was less expensive for a yearly membership. $19 Thrive vs $49.Divi.

Access to plugins. Thrive has some unique plugins like a quiz builder, capture & display testimonial, and more. They are more focused on conversion and lead capture. They also include a lot of marketing training.

Both are good products but I like a great performing website along with blazing fast speed. By using the hosting here at WA our website speeds have been awesome. Less than a second anywhere around the world.

That's my 2 cents, and well worth checking out.

Hi Ken.
Thank you for your comments - much more than 'tuppence worth'!
I'll check out Thrive but it's great to know that you are having a good experience with it. Did you find it easy to convert your existing websites?

Took a few days to get an understanding on how to use the editor . Other that that it was a smooth transition.

Hi Gail, I've used Divi quite a bit in the past, although I've changed my existing sites over to Thrive Themes now. Divi is a great theme, but I find the functionality of what Thrive Themes offers now to be even better.

Thanks for that Mary. I'll look into Thrive Themes. Did you find it difficult to transfer your existing sites or was it quite a simple process?

Gail, it required a bit of reformatting for me, but that's because I went from Divi to Thrive Themes. If you're not using either yet I'm not sure it will be an issue. But FYI, there is usually going to be some reformatting...depending on how much customization (if any) you have on your current theme.

Hello Gail,

I believe you live in the UK. WA are on either EDT or CDT and so as far as we are concerned the day would end 11am or noon our time.

This could account for the discrepancies you are seeing.

Derek

Thanks Derek.

Great answer Derek, makes total sense.

Thanks Dave.

Derek

Well the stats are in LA time. I live in ohio and LA is 3 hours behind me, so that is the time with WA

Thanks Justin.

I sense a delay of a day

OK thanks Loes. Didn't know that.

Okay, okay I get it, as you are a top 100 you already know it's done day by day, clever way to get a response, cheers.

Hi Alex. Thanks for your response. I am in the top 100 but you are giving me much more credit than I'm worth as I didn't know there was a time delay.
Glad you have so much confidence in the top 100 though, although we are all human and I for one, definitely do not know everything which is why I posed the question, no other ulterior motive.

I do owe you an apology as it seems like my comment was harsh, no deserving. x Plus when I'm an ambassador I don't want enemies ranked above or below me lol.

Once again a sincere apology.
Alex

Hi Alex. Thanks for your apology. Definitely accepted. :)
What you'll find here at WA is that it is a community that is very different to most of the communities anywhere else. We really do want other people to do well and there is a positive feeling on here that is unrivalled elsewhere. Kyle and Carson actively promote a 'pay it forward' attitude which we embrace and all get the benefits from. We consider our fellow members here as friends not 'enemies' and I hope you will come to that conclusion yourself as you have experienced the warmth of the community here.
Wishing you well with your websites and I appreciate you taking the time to read and respond.
I'm also following you as well so will look forward to hearing about your own successes and answering any questions you have.
All the best.
Gail

I wish I could help but I think Kyle is the only one that has the answer to this particular question.

I am currently working on websites in 2 different niches, as I think probably many people are who are currently in the SWAG group. These are:
1) My WA affiliate site
2) M

Thanks for asking this question as I have been trying to figure out if I should go with separate profiles as well. Looks like the majority are in favor of one. I will try that and see what happens.

I would separate them as they are not related.
However, You can always "Cross partner", as it won't lower Your credential and give anyone a sense of You selling out or even promote something unrelated. :-)

When making Social appearance I recommend that You try to summarize everything into "shareable" widgets. This will let people share much easier.

Also consider Pinterest, as they really were an upcoming influencer on the market last year. Let me know if You want some "experience-hacks" on how to boost Your Pinterest presence. :-)

If You think about it. What shows the most credential?
Examples:
1. "social buttons showing a different name."
2. "Law of Attraction" shares a post about Wealthy Affiliate, making a website, using jaaxy.
Or if You flip it around:
"WealthyAtHome" shares a post about the laws of attraction, chemistry guidelines, research around dating etc...

Dividing them into 2 accounts isn't something that takes time, 'nor does it double the work. It only makes it feel more professional, credential and genuine.

If You absolutely need to merge them into one account IU would say "Use Your name" and make sure it is shown on your websites that You are the founder t avoid any confusion. :-)

As for LinkedIn for example, this has an exponential growth of influential media channels to be exposed to.
However, But it will require some research and tweaking to get it just right. depending on how you wish to present it (company/person etc.)

Let me know if You feel helped by this or need some further support along the way.
This is just my personal preference, and even though I'm no expert by any means, I do somewhat believe that I've done my fair "share" on Social media. (See what I did there? ;-)) At least enough to have a horse in this race.

Definitely not an expert here, I'm about to complete level 2. But I have already decided to brand myself with "We Heart". All my websites will be like www.wehearthandmadeboots.com etc... I will only use 1 google +, 1 Facebook, 1 Instagram for all of these. I think it will be easier to control and allot less time consuming so I can concentrate on the website(s) and content.

Hi Thomas.

Every time You make a post of some sort to Your website, You should always share it. Considered that an article could take quite some time. Have You considered to compress this into a reasonable size for it to be shared and summarized quickly on social media? This way it won't consume nearly as much time as it otherwise would, splitting accounts and still focus on your compan(y/ies) as much as You want. :-)

The error lot of people make is that they think they need to customize their shares to social media by rewriting it. But in fact, by simply summarizing it in the widget field as a picture would do just fine.

Alternatively, cut the text and have a "read more...." sending them to Your website.

By the way, with all due respect, You should try to avoid sharing Your website like that. You know, just to avoid suspension.
I totally get it, but I'm not so sure about the executives, as they're pretty grumpy around this. (notice the word: "account explosion".)

Luckily, there's a solution Just looking out for You, that's all.

Also, there are ways to make things automated as well.

I intend to share some tutorials - here at WA - on how to pair APIs, which will basically remove all of the work to promote on other channels along with other areas and aspects.

If you want to build brand around your personality, I would second to have one account. But there are always personal preferences why people have more than one accounts to represent their business brands.

My opinion.

:)
Joe

seems like the consensus is no. what do you think would work best for you, Gail?

I think you'll have a better connection with your audience if you maintain one profile per social media platform. That way people get to know you and your interests. Also, trying to maintain multiple profiles is a nightmare! Just my 2 cents. Alanna

Hi Gail,
I understand the idea about more than one account and why you/I might use them.
My take on this is that one account will allow people to connect better with you as a person who has different interests and can be approached on various levels.

Yes, too complicated. You can use "lists" in twitter to segment your followers

It'd be too complicated, of course. Besides, if you are building your brand, you want to be recognised and so it's a good idea to focus on one.
Also, I believe that there's nothing wrong if a WA affiliate is interested in the law of attraction.:)
You don't just do it for a theoretical purpose, right? You do it to attract success. Is it not what WA affiliates want? Things can easily be interconnected.:)

I have several websites but the social media account serves all.having several account sounds too complicated
