I am Derek, born and raised in the UK. As my picture shows I am no longer a youngster but I am willing to learn as much as I can to improve my financial well being. (Who said you can't teach an old dog new tricks).
Some will say I am past my use by date but I just ignore them and carry on anyway.
I have been meddling on the internet for some time, but I have always found an excuse for not being successful, or possibly for not following things through to a conclusion. Procrastination plays a big part in this.
I thought it was time to do something useful with the rest of my life, but to do this I also need to earn an income. (A basic state pension is not at all a good one).
I will be happy to hear from other users and also happy to share my life experiences.
Here we are a month down the line and although I have not progressed as quickly as some may have I am pleased with the progress made so far. Although I have other online blogs I have started to realize why they are not making me money.
Once I get my present blog running the way I want it I will have to go back to these other blogs and rebuild them. All I can say is thankyou WA and the WA community. I have learned more about blogging in a month here than I have learned in years elsewhere.

you're just starting sweety because every 10 lessons it give you even more to teach you how to make and run sites and when you think awe it's over I'm done and they give you more to learn just keep plow deep and grow big you have the same reason most of us are with WA I have had other affiliate I checked into and they want you to pay a lot more than WA they are the best you are going to find . Still plugging

I do believe I sure do see myself in you.
although I don't have many blogs that I have used that is the only thing i don't have that you do. I to have been doing a lot on the internet and am a procrastinator almost as bad as you have been. Hi Derek, I am retired myself since 1999. I often wonder why I didn't join this business earlier. But this is where we are at now. I believe there is still time left to build this business and enjoy life at the same time. As long as we are around might as well make the most of it.

I think when I started I was too impatient and wanted to learn everything as quickly as possible.
Of course, I set myself an all but impossible task. Now I am just going with the flow, ok so I won't be earning as quickly as some but I am doing a more thorough job of it now.

Don't listen to those "use by date" people. You have many, many years to go. You mentioned one of my main interests there also. Making retirement a little more comfortable by supplementing whatever pensions a person my have.
I hate the mental picture so many people have of the helpless and almost penniless old and weak pensioner.
Remember that your income in old age is only "fixed" is you allow it to be that way.

Hi Derek, thanks for the follow. I read your Bio. I to am not a youngster, but that has not held me back. I now have three Blogs and two websites. One of the Blogs and websites is for my better half Trish. I have built them for her. I really didn't know what I was doing before joining WA. If you do each course and complete each assignment without skipping any you can't help but be successful. It was through WA that I have been able to accomplish what I have. Another great thing about WA is the Community. If you get stuck on something and can't figure it out ask the Community. Let me tell you, there is so much talent and knowledge out there it is unbelievable. Also I am following you now. We can watch each other grow. I wish you the best of everything. :-) Frank

There is a Chinese saying "as we live to old age, we learn as we aged" so the only time we stop learning is 6 feet under ground although in land scarce Singapore ,it is confine to a minority
I was also poking around the internet and although can't complain some dollars made through offline marketing (selling solutions), decided to equip myself so I can quickly set things up without having to wait for some help. Lol it is certainly an asset to be able to roll up the shelves and get cracking
Now the proverbial truth, the more I learn the more I discover I don't know. :)

I too am steadily plodding along with the training and I know I could be further along than I am but I have a job and disabled husband and let's face it, there's only so many hours in a day! Plus some days I just need to take a break from the computer and take my dogs for a day at the river!

There is a famous quote from Mark Twain:
"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."
And that just means - do your hardest task first or at least as soon as you can in the morning. If you do this then the rest of your day is easy from there!

Hi Derek, Thanks for adding me to your network. We are both going at a similar pace. Not break-neck speed but quickly enough. There's plenty to be done and we are doing it thoroughly. I once read a bio of a young gentleman that's been with us for while now; it taken him a long while putting the work in and he said nothing happened for quite some time but the small amounts of daily work he had been putting in, suddenly started to have an accumulative effect on the visitors he was receiving and he now travels the world living off the income of his affiliate business thanks to WA.

I really believe WA will help you and me through the training program. I need better understanding social media marketing and all tools and a deeper knowledge of marketing tools and I intend to acquire it at this time. If down further ahead I feel a need some clarification to succeed I get it privately help inside WA.
I also like to travel and stay for while where I go to do this I have to be generating money.

One of the best things we have going for us is patience. After you've been around for awhile, you learn Rome wasn't built in a day!
