About Dbriley

Hi my name is Dena, I am 53 years old with a Bachelors in Information technology and cannot find a job in my chosen profession, I am in a dead end job at the moment and really would like to become a stay at home dog mom. The kids have all grown up and left the nest, so I traded them off for 3 basset hounds, and 4 treeing waIker coonhounds, that are very mischievous when I am away. I do love my hounds and intend on making it in affiliate marketing so I can afford to stay home with them. I feel that the training along with the helping community here at WA can help afford my freedom that I am looking for. It would also be real nice to be able to retire early and still be able to live well after retirement. I am so ready for the next chapter of my life and will keep you updated on how I am progressing.

Hi Dena
Thank you for following me, that 75 years young retired teacher, who lives in England with my wife Susan.
Wow! 7 beautiful dogs
. i would like to see photos of them. We live next to major roads, so unfortunately have not been able to own dogs, although at one time, for a little while, we were able to look after a friend;s red setter called Bo, who was quite a handful especially trying to keep him away from the dangerous busy roads!
With your expertise and interest in dogs, have you thought of using dogs for Affiliate Marketing from blogging to suggesting suitable dog products ?

If you go down my profile here at the bottom right you will see my website you can check it out if your want and it has lots of pictures of the hounds. It is the very 1st link under follow me. Dogs really can be a handful and we are out in the country with an acre fenced in for the dogs, we had a few when we lived in town but that did not work so well so moved to the country so they would have more room. I am also a country girl at heart so works well for all of us.

Good Luck and Best Wishes.

Hi Dena - thank you for "following" me - I used to have a Bassett Hound many years ago, they are a lot of fun aren't they? I have no idea what a coonhound is though, even if it jumped on me ha ha - You must be really clever at this Information Technology thing as well - You might be able to help me later - Take care ~ David

You and I seem to have the similar motivations for joining affiliate marketing! I have 2 kittos (kitty brothers), a Harlequin rabbit, and a daughter on the way, and I'd love to be a work at home mom for all of them. I can't wait to watch how your success unfolds!

I am still working full time so not accomplishing as much as I would like too. I feel that I am getting closer and building my traffic but I know nothing really starts happening until 6-12 months so I am plugging along and doing the best I can. I figure if nothing else I should have a real good start before I retire in a few years.

Good Luck and best wishes!

Hi Dena, thanks for adding me to your network. We have pretty similar resumes. I will be 53 in less than 2 months. I have a BS in biology and at the time, there weren't any jobs, so I went into the military. I don't have any kids, but I do have my rescue, Trixie. I too want to stay at home, but I never thought to be a stay at home dog mom. I like that idea. We have similar websites, a dog niche.

Thanks for connecting is a good to find people that have common interests as you can share ideas and understand the niche. I don't have any children living at home just the dogs. Being a stay at home dog mom is really my dream job and I cannot wait till I am there.

Hey Dena,
Thanks for the follow back. Nice meeting you here at Wealthy Affiliate. Wow, you have 6 dogs...guess you got me beat by a long shot, we used to have 5 at one time, but now only three. I definitely know what you mean, I hate leaving ours alone for 8 hours a day...glad I don't have to do that much anymore!

Anyways, I'm sure you'll learn all you need here to be a stay at home dog mom. The training here does work as long as you keep at it, it definitely takes time and effort. If you ever have questions just ask, I'm always happy to help if I can.

Best wishes :) ~Sherry

I have learned so much in the short time I have been here and really enjoy it and like you, if I can do anything to help let me know.

Thanks Dena

I use Jaaxy for all of my Keyword research and SiteContent to draft all of my posts for my website. Here's a little trick that will show you how beautifully these tools integrate and also SAVE you time:
Canva is also a great tool that's quite popular with other WA members, to design stylish graphics, like headers etc, for their websites.

Welcome to WA. Just sharing with you how much of an opportunity i have missed. I joined WA in 2016 but did not do anything because the thought of building a website scare me off.

Fast forward to end 2017, i happened to read a review of WA again and realized that i have just missed great opportunities.

I then got active and upgrade to premium to tap the full to tap the full benefit within WA.

Best of luck to you.

What's up Dena!

I just thought I'd not only welcome you, but also help you get started on the right track so that you're not confused with anything like you probably already are.

First off, you'll want to put a pic up (preferably of yourself) and say a little something about you so it can be easier for others to help you, which you can do by clicking on the little square with a question mark up on the right.

Starting out, there are only 2 things you really need to know.

1. People who TAKE ACTION by asking questions and interacting within the community are much more likely to be successful and learn this stuff faster than someone who joins and does nothing.

2. The level 1 certification course (green tab to the left) will explain the process of how to make money online and you should have a pretty solid foundation built by the end of this course as well.

By lesson 4 you should have your first site up and running, which I'm sure you'll find to be an accomplishment on its own.

Click the link below to get started on your first lesson and you'll be on your way. Also don't forget that if you have any questions, just ask as everyone is here to help.

I hope this helps Dena and welcome to the wonderful community here at WA, which I'm sure you're going to love!

- John

I just went on yahoo and typed in my website to see if it would come up and it shows that godaddy still has it parked is there anything I need to do to fix that?
Reply

But your site is already live, right? If your site is live then Yahoo just needs to recrawl your site for it to reflect on their end. However, it should be directing to your site regardless if you already activated it again.

I am sure it is live my husband was able to view it last night I know I had some complications getting my domain name moved over but it is moved over now and I went ahead and renewed it with WA

Oh okay so don't worry about what you see in Yahoo as it will eventually get updated. When you click on your site through Yahoo it does bring you to your actual site though, right?
Reply

yes it comes up

Okay so don't worry about anything, your site is good to go!
