About Newmarketpro
Joined February 2014
I am a banker for almost 30 years now. Currently I am posted to the corporate business banking department as a Sales Executive where I suppose to grow the bank assets (loan, overdraft, forex line etc). It's a stressful job!

I have tried a lot of programs to make extra money. In fact, I have involved in online marketing since 2009. Unfortunately, I have never incorporate myself to a systematic platform to learn about online business. My experiences in the space was through trial and error. As a result, I have invested a lot of my hard earned salary into buying tools, plugins and programs.

While I have learned a lot of things about online business over those years, my income was far from what I wanted to have as I am looking for something sustainable and profitable that could replace my salary now.

I had made good income from Amazon affiliate program before my account was terminated due to breaching one of their TOS (if you are in this program, please read their TOS thoroughly - you don't want to end up like me). I am still Amazon Associate (Affiliate) but under my wife's account. (shhhhhhhhhh). LOL

I did not realized that I have connected and even have an account with WA since 2014 while comparing a program (I better not mention it here) with WA for a platform to get proper training on online business. I have even started some of the Free training offered to free members.

I am glad that now I am a Premium member of WA. I really hope this is a starting point to build my online business. My ambition is to build a sustainable online business through the platform provided here in WA so that I can quit my 9-5 job in near future.

Hi Joe,

Thank you for sending me all the great Information. Being about 13 days since I joined, I have been reading, listening, and feeling I am in information overload, in a very good way. I am trying to keep in folders the info I know I can use as I actually applying all I am learning.

I really appreciate you taking the time to send me these excellent info, I know it will speed up my learning curve. :)

My pleasure to share.
Take the learning process at your pace. No rush. What is more important is trying to implement what you have learned on your site and see it grows over time. Nothing is more satisfying than look at what you have established from those learning.

All the best to you Patty.

and also, If I create a domain (.com), does it matter if I'm based in the UK. I mean, I know that's worldwide, but a lot of times I go to amazon.com, for instance, and find something to buy, then I realize that they don't deliver in the UK. Any thoughts on that?
Thank you very much

I would depends which market segment you want to target. If you want to target UK audiences, then maybe sign up for Amazon uk. Else, sign up for Amazon.com

Hi Joe Yee ,

I also started trying to make a living on the internet on 2009. It sounds like you were much more successful than I was. I lost a lot with several scammers who took my money and never delivered. I also joined Wealthy Affiliate in 2014, looked around listened to webinars and liked what I saw. Unfortunately life happened, I became very ill and I could not work on anything except getting well. Happily, I am well now and excited to make up for lost time. Thank you for rolling me.

Hi, Joe Yee!

Hope all is well. I read your profile and I see you use Amazon. I had a question about that.

When using amazon to get products, do you use a service that makes it easy to upload all your products at once?
Or, do you do it manually via spreadsheet or something?

What process do you use to take the products your interested in selling and upload them on your site?

The reason I ask this is because I am trying to find a way to streamline the process of putting a bunch of products on my page. If you can't tell me your process, I understand, but can you relay any insight as to how I can streamline uploading products to my product page?

By the way, my niche is men's clothing in case your wondering. Thanks for any help I appreciate your insight. Have a good day, man. :)

-Kind Regards, Jay

Well Jay,
It depends whether you are building e-commerce site or blogging site or the combination of both.

If you are building an e-commerce, it just make sense to use plugin to pull products from Amazon site to your site.

If you are blogging, then may manual insert would more practical.

:)

Well, I certainly appreciate the assistance, sir! :)

I must admit though, I got mixed up yesterday, which is why I asked the question....

The truth is: I was working so furiously lately that I actually created (by mistake) an Amazon SELLER account instead of an Amazon AFFILIATE......account. :O
/facepalm....

---------->>
I was wondering why amazon kept asking me to provide credit card info when I was trying to access Amazon as an affiliate. And, well now I know why!
/facepalm x2...

----------->>
Today Im working slower... No coffee today, lol..
Thanks for helping me out, Joe. I appreciate your time, sir.

Hi! Joe,
For the first time this morning, I pushed away my inherent dauntingness, and began more adventurous tweaks on my site to gain some ground of advancing technical savvy. To see how I might have screwed up, please take a look into www.ebettercare.com and comment/suggest how I should and can do to make my site ready for e-marketing.

Much appreciated,

James

It's almost there James.

1) Maybe for each post, try to have a featured image to be more presentable.

2) Need to clean up a bit on the main menu. Group them into different menu. I have put numbers to denote the same group.
1) goes to main menu
2) Top menu
3) Just put it to footer
I think you get the idea.

Overall, it is a nice site and should be ready anytime now.

All the best James.

Hi! Joe,

I did have the same feeling about the Main Menu, but I do not know how-to.

Here I would need to clear what I should do with you before I would try. To move on the correction on Menu, would you please just tell me the items should be included in different MENU like the one at header area, footer area or sidebar?
What is the featured images and how can I find and implement them?

If the above could be solved, I will feel I make a big technical leap.

So, please help and I am ready to move.

Best to success in coaching and earning,

James

Ok, the first thing you need to do is to group each items into same category e.g. blogs, products, pages

Go to dashboard > appearance > menu > and create Main Menu and choose those items from your left hand site you need to include in this menu. Then at the bottom, choose where do you want it to be shown > Main Menu or top menu or footer.

Using the image I showed above, you should get the idea how to expand those menu. Some may come under sub-menu - so not all the items need to appear in the main menu.

Hope you can try it now.

Joe,
Thank you for responding to my fool Qs, but I will take time to hopefully figure these confusions out in time. If possible, making some examples to illustrate such would help tremendously.

Sorry for being such a poor old baby who is daunted and ashamed to be digital blind.

Much appreciated,

Hi! Joe,
For the first time this morning, I pushed away my inherent dauntingness to deal with digital work. As a result, I have tried and done a great amount work in my site - www.ebettercare.com so to set up e-Commerce. Would you please look into it and comment/suggest something for making this site go faster into its designated orbit of e-marketing sphere.

In this site, I used the FREE version of Best Commerce + FREE version of WooCommerce. Would you recommend to upgrade these to their Pro version?

Much appreciated,

Hi James,
You have a working website! Congratulation!
Is the website active now? I can see there is a message on top that this is for demo - so I believe it has yet go live.

Are you selling your own products or is it affiliate products?

Feedback
1) May be you need to clean up a bit your navigation. Segregate the pages and main content menu.

The Pages - Maybe put to the footer (Disclaimer, About)

If you have top menu, put the administration menu there - Account, checkout, cart, wishlist

Other than that, it looks good.

Keep it up..

Great learning experience here reading your profile. Thanks for sharing your experience with Amazon.

I remember, my recent question here (which was answered by Marion) was about using shortening links or link customizer like Pretty Link for Amazon.

Now, I get. I should be careful. It's one of the things they prohibit, because they have their own link shortener.

Hi Joe, glad to connect with you. I followed you after reading a response of yours to a comment I made. I have a friend who had a job similar to yours, who is now a manager at a Target...less stress? Well, for him, yes. I understand how you can be searching and join something, then forget because you are looking for that next pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! Glad you found WA again, and I look forward to your contributions! An idea I had while reading your profile is you might post a WA blog on familiarizing yourself with various TOSs, which might be helpful to community members. Sorry you were blocked...that's a tough lesson to learn! Help us avoid the same!

Hi Lyn,
Really glad to receive your encouragement. One thing I learnt from my experience with Amazon was that not to take for granted the TOS of any program. Reading the 'small print' is a must from now onward.

Looking forward to hear from you again.

Wishing you and your family a properous Happy New Year 2018.

Hi Joe,
thank you for adding me to your network. It's very nice to e-meet you!

Ha-ha-ha, you were a WA member since 2014, and you didn't know it?! Until when? When did you return to WA, updated your profile and upgraded to Premium? Thanks for a tip on Amazon TOS - I didn't read it, but I am also not making any money yet. I'll read it rather sooner than later. :)
I wish you great success in your online business and look forward to our fun and challenging journey with WA.

Hi Julia,
Thank you for dropping by.
It's a bit funny story. I was with WA way back in 2014 as a free member. I was looking for something that could bring me some extra cash fast, I guess. Spent a lot of my hard earned salary in the course - buying plugins, software, training which seemingly endless. I realized that I have gone the wrong way.

I learnt a lot during those year too. So not too regret. I have learned a lot about wordpress - so I can understand some parts of the trainings provided here in WA. I believe that is a plus for me.

In Nov this year, I was searching for something that I could start fresh. I wanted to start from the basic - something sustainable. I almost signed up with C........ University (can someone make a guess). Fortunately, I went to search for reviews of the program and found a review that give comparison to WA.

I clicked the link and I found back WA, tried to register and was advised that my e-mail has been registered. I recalled I have read some of the trainings in the free member area.

A few days after that I upgraded to Premium and am happy that I took that action.

That's it! LOL

Looking forward to hear from you again.

Wishing you and family a Great Happy New Year 2018!

Hi welcome to WA. This is the right platform. Your story is interesting and same problem I have face like you. I also joined in 2014 but not relealized it's potential. Only Nov /17 I came back and look closely on the trainings. Now I know it is the right place to save me. I hope that this WA training will immensely help you achieve your goal. All the best for your journey.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.
