Hello everyone, my name is Jeff and I am originally from Dallas, Texas, though I have lived in Kansas for the last 35 years. I am a 53 year old married man with seven children and two grandchildren. I am a Christian, a United States Army veteran, and a locksmith in my town, which is Junction City, KS USA, home to Ft. Riley and the US Army's BIG RED ONE--First Infantry Division (where I was stationed). After the Army, and while I was still attending Kansas State University, I started my own business here--it's called J & J Locksmith Service, and has been a successful going concern for the past 29 years.

I became a proud 1996 graduate of Kansas State University--GO WILDCATS--with degrees in Accounting, Management, and Finance, and a minor in Economics. The diploma certainly looks good on the wall, but since I already had my business started, I stuck with it, since I enjoyed being my OWN boss, and realized there was no turning back after that initial taste of success.

As I've gotten older, I found out I was a type two diabetic, after an infection in my right foot forced me to have all the toes and half the rest of it amputated in December of 2015, I have slowed down somewhat--even though I manage quite well without it. Since I was a kid (around age 11), I had always been writing stories in spiral notebooks, continuing in the army at times when I was on guard duty, etc., but after I finished school and got serious into my business, I found that I no longer had time for it. After the operation, while waiting to heal enough to get back to work, I began writing again in earnest, and haven't stopped since. This prompted me to become a self-published author, having now written a number of historical science-fiction novels (about 12 -17 so far in a series) under the Nom de Plume, J. Lynn Brown--which is my first initial and my full middle and last name. I do this to differentiate myself from a prolific author with many works by the same given name as mine so that I might also stand out.

The novels start at the end of the American Civil War and follow a large group of Confederate refugees who flee the United States to search for a new place to call home after the defeat of the Confederacy. During their voyage, they get hopelessly lost in the Bermuda Triangle ending up in another magical place with some interesting fantasy creatures and other characters, with a little magic and everyday life mixed in for good measure. The novels are part of a series called Bermuda's Secret.

I have placed them on the Amazon Kindle Platform (Kindle Direct Publishing). I currently have about 17 books published and live on there (12 from the series, one stand-alone, two image books and 2 blog books).

There are currently many more in the works. If anyone chooses to read them I would appreciate a review--good or bad, I NEED the criticism or praise to let me know how I am doing. Best of all, you can also read them for free if you're an Amazon Prime member (I think only in the US and possibly the UK). If you aren't a prime member, they are all reasonably priced, The e-books are in the $2.99-$4,99 price range. AGAIN, I COULD CERTAINLY USE THE REVIEWS.

Wealthy Affiliate will eventually be VERY instrumental in my marketing plan for these serial novels, and other books that I'm working on--I already have domain names purchased and a few websites for my books and other niches, but I'm just reading and learning here for right now, though I'll eventually get all those sites up and running a lot better than they are now. (I know--procrastination!)

During my locksmith career and my budding writing career, I've also been a long-time avid eBay store owner (since 2002), and that takes up a lot of my extra time as well My user id is texasnational, and my store is called Tex's Surplus and collectibles. Even though I sound pretty busy, I believe that having these three income sources will pan-out in the long-run. I have never been one to place all my eggs in one basket, since usually at least one avenue is generating income for me, if there is a down-turn in any of the others. Occasionally, they all three kick in, though not often...YET!

I ALSO HAVE A YOUTUBE CHANNEL-- YOU CAN FIND IT HERE:

As I said before, this WA platform is just what I'm looking for to enhance my different interests with the use of the websites since the internet is the way for the future, and the education, coupled with the vibrant and helpful community here is out of this world, so I figured why not? The people here are genuine and pretty cool. Besides, this could be the platform that finally ties everything else together for me and helps it all run smoother! Best SUCCESS to everyone who joins--for the cost, in my opinion, it is money well spent--you couldn't even pay for one decent half-semester college class for the annual WA dues! It truly is a University of Opportunity, Wealth, and knowledge for those who apply themselves!!

You've been here quite a while and up to Ambassador already.
How about a deal?
I'll read one of your books and write a review if you'll do the same for me. I recently published "Next Year Perhaps" on Amazon kindle, a story based on my passion... canoeing in the Canadian wilderness.
I've just joined WA and have my website up and into Level 3 learning.
Check out (if you wish) myphotographyskills.com
Will stay in touch.

By the way...I see you are connecting with a lot of people, even giving them advice, help. That's exactly what I want to do is help the masses get their life (business) on track so they can really enjoy life. Not that 9-5 crap. That is my goal. Money will come along as long as I stay focused and doing this for al the right reasons. Let me know what you think about the Shopify. Will I need it somewhere down the road or is WA enough? Thanks

Hello Jeffrey!

Thanks for following me. I am a 32 year old married man from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. I look forward to learn more from an ambassador such as yourself. I am now on the seventh lecture and hope to hit the ground running. I am willing to learn and grow as an affiliate.

Witness, you will do very well here as long as you follow the training, you will do well here. You might be tempted to, like I did and many others here have, to slip around in the training, but don't. I did, and now I'm going to re-start the Online Entrepreneur Course training and hopefully get it right this time around. If you stay the course, then you won't get side-tracked and will reach your goals a lot faster! Best success to you here in WA!

Can you help me: I managed to get a link to amazon but when I click it it doesn't go directly. Instead this shows up which I can click & go to Amazon. Is it ok to have this extra step? Also, the link is very faint & can only be seen if you scroll the hand over it. How will someone who looks at my website see the link? Thanks

I wish I could be of help to you, Laura, but I haven't ever been an Amazon affiliate yet! You might want to pose this question to the community at large!

Happy 2020!
