I am writing an article about the top ten affiliate programs out there. My favourites are Wealthy Affiliate (of course), uber & lyoness. Please share your favourites below s

I could give you several scam sites but that's not what you want.
WA is by far the best.

I just checked out Affiliorama. I do not think they even come close to WA. Their price alone is higher then WA and the training is not that great. http://screencast.com/t/ecYnvhfnZfn

Hi guys - when I googled Affilorama - all I get is a lot of returns suggesting it is a scam - or at least an over-priced affiliate programme.

Why the recommendation on Affilorama?

Thanks

Richard

I'm with native33 - Affilorama, because you have access to all so many products with just the one membership.

I have an existing site that I created through wordpress.com and I want to move it, files and all, to host on WA without having to start over.

Is there a way?

Marion answered it

Marion did explain the best way to move your site from wp to wa. That is also assuming you will find the same theme here. If you plugins installed on your wp site, they won't make the move so you'll have to do a new install on your wa site, rebuild links, etc.
Hey good question. I hope this helps.
Ken

Jeremy, Marion's answer will point you in the right direction, it's an easy fix.

Marion is correct.

This is beyond my knowledge, but I think I would look at what 777getgoing says. She has Welshy's directions how to transfer a site to WA. Everyone else may be saying the same thing, but I need step by step. I hope you get it figured out, then you can help the rest of us.

In your dashboard go to Tools Export and export your entire website. Create a SiteRubix subdomain and then go to Tools Import on the subdomain. Just follow the method shown for WordPress. Check your subdomain to make sure everything is there. If it's all OK then change your domain name servers to WA. Once that's propagated you can transfer your work to your real domain on WA and delete all the content from the subdomain. If you want more help just PM me. ~Marion

Honestly, I didn't think it was possible. Great advice Marion! I shall file these comments away for future reference. Thank you.

I just asked Kyle this question in chat a few hours ago. He said yes it definitely can be done but it is more complicated then just transferring a domain name.

Jeremy, you may see if you can get in touch with Leroemry. he helped another wA member not too long ago with a similar problem. You would have to transfer all the files via FTP from WP over to WA.

John

Hey Jeremy, people move their site to WA all the time. I would first back up your site before you consider moving anything.

Can't you just point it to the WA servers through your domain provider?

It's not the domain I'm talking about. I'm talking about the whole design and the files which are hosted on wordpress.com.

I'm having issues with wordpress hosting it, with all their rules about advertising and affiliate links. So I need to host the site elsewhere but I don't want to have to redo all my hard work by completely recreating the site from scratch.

I see. A little beyond my area of knowledge.

Hi Jeremy,

Is it a wordpress.org or wordpress.com wordpress page? I know there is a difference. But as someone stated already - if it's not simply a matter of changing the nameservers then you could back up the css info and transfer it. Best of luck!

My website gets over 50,000 hits a month. Currently we make very little from the google ads at the top of

You can also try submitting your site to buysellads.com and having people pay you a monthly fee for putting ads up.

Darn you Jeremy,

You have me hooked--50,000 visits a month and an email list potential that is pure "Koala's." (Koala's are Australian gold coins.)

For the email, I suggest once a week with the lead section BITCOIN NEWS, hype your site gently as a reminder, include some affiliate ads/buttons (like Expedia) especially your SHOP LOCAL and SPEND GLOBAL, occasionally survey for needs and topics of interest, and lastly, have a non Bitcoin section "Jeremy's Jibe", "West's Wonderings" or something where you sometimes just apparently chat about whatever, but actually build up to pitch WA, pitch you as a consultant or your own "how to course," pitch a subscription service of some kind, with say fullfilment by Amazon of Ausie products of "yours", just whatever.

Best

I really like the look of your site. But, if it isn't working for you then change is needed. So, here I go.

I can see lots of things that MIGHT work. Here is ONE approach to look at, but it is work.

On your front page, no search box. Instead, a 2 title lines and 7 buttons: SPEND LOCALLY, SPEND ONLINE (or GLOBALLY), SELL BITCOINS, BUY BITCOINS, FREE UPDATES, ADVERTIZE LOCALLY and ADVERTIZE GLOBALLY (or ONLINE)..
1. Title lines:
Top Line: SHOP LOCALLY -- SPEND GLOBALLY
Second Line: Your current title line--Over 100,000 ...
2. Three tiers of buttons:
Top tier: SPEND LOCALLY SPEND ONLINE with each button fairly wide and moderately tall.
Middle tier: SELL BITCOINS FREE UPDATES BUY BITCOINS with these buttons not as tall or wide as the top tier and the "free updates" button maybe 50% wider than the other two and it would extend down into the bottom tier.
Bottom tier: SELL BITCOINS FREE UPDATES BUY BITCOINS.
3. Hopefully, you see my intent. Briefly, for each button you send them to a page where you do the appropriate thing. a. Locally, get a location and then offer what is available. b. Online/globally do your catagories and search box thing, but maybe include some monetizable affiliate button boxes (maybe as many as 15 or so) with topics like BOOK HOTELS, SEND FLOWERS, whatever. c. Free updates is your opt-in with some hype about what they get and maybe less data required for the opt-in--maybe not. IF YOU DO IT RIGHT, you your hype can leave it open about what they will receive or just give them something. More importantly, build the list so you can do non-bitcoin emails and then THE WORLD IS OPEN TO YOU with a big client base. d. Sell bitcoins can be a new business for you but I am guessing it isn't one you want to do, so then offer where they can and maybe have some affiliate buttons for that or advertizements. e. Buy bitcoins, do your current thing plus the buttons and/or ads. f. For the ADVERTIZE buttons, solicit adveritzers and then run their ads on the other pages as appropriate.

Hope this helps by at least getting that fertile mind of yours cranking differently.

Best

sorry but I do not have a clue wish I could help all the best

Can you be an affiliate to the places that you recommend they spend their bit coin and send them to these places via an affiliate link

Barry

Yes. I already do this. But I feel like there's some big ticket item I could be marketing to these 50,000 visitors a month that if just 1 or 2 bought it could bring in a lot more income.

i'm not an expert on the subject but it seems like nobody is there to buy anything - great site with great info - are bitcoin users travelers and would they buy anything travel related - i'm not a bitcoin user but to quote carl spackler (caddyshack) "in order to catch a varmint, you've got to think like a varmint" - or something to that effect

They are there to buy things... They've searched for something like "where can I spend bitcoins" or "places to spend bitcoins".

We do make money on affiliate links out, and we have just become an affiliate of expedia who now accepts bitcoins for hotels reservations, so that should help. I just feel like we should be able to make more off that top ad.

What are these people looking for? What are they searching for when they find your site? Keywords etc

Hmmmmm....

http://www.evernote.com/l/AWLMVKzTqCtITa7sLw765qLPUYuGVenYqaQ/

Very strange... #1 is (not provided). That is the vast majority. That doesn't help much. ;-(

don't look in the "keywords" section. Go to "Search engine optimization" and click on "queries" (you might need to connect GA with WMT first). It will tell you which keywords get teh most queries and clicks etc, you can then go to "landing pages" and see which pages get the most impressions and clicks as well, and cross reference them with queries to figure it out.

Who are your visitors? Are they people with bitcoins already? If they are people investigating bitcoins and what they are I am sure a little e-book on what its all about and how to make them would sell well.

They are typically people already well-versed in the bitcoin world as they have generally searched for something like "places to spend bitcoins".

A genuine-leather bitcoin Wallet? Lol. Seriously though, I don't know much about bitcoins or how they work. I wish I had a good answer for you. Hopefully you at least got a grin from my answer. I hope you find a great solution for this.

Jeremy, I have no idea, I am anxiously awaiting responses from others!

When I try to login with the password given to me from the email tab of "Build My Website" I get the screen shown here:

you should be able to find it within the WP dashboard as Misterwailor has said hope you have resolved it

I can log in, no problem at all, Loes

I have not had any problems with mine. Just make sure your are putting in the correct password.

Jeremy I don't know if this related to your problem, but just about an hour ago I noticed both buttons in upper right corner are now gone, my profile button & the 300 button. Also in private messaging most of my screen is covered so I could barely read a PM that I had.

Yeah, I just had to try twice to get in, but I'm in there now. Try again.

Louellen is probably right Jeremy

Hi Jeremy - the same thing happened to me and I think it's because I "messed" around with my log in thinking I wanted to show my name on posts versus "admin." And I think I changed my password in the process, so now I have to manually log in every time I want to work on my website. Anyway, try this when you get redirected - Replace the "Jeremy" with "admin" and then type in your password that you use when editing your website. Hopefully this works. Good luck!

Sounds like the IMAP server had a 'hissy fit'. Wait for a bit, try again and then do a support ticket. This is a server issue.

Wish I was a little bit smarter. Make that a big bit smarter. Then maybe I could help you! Right now I'm still out in left field!

Did you try to refresh your browser first if still a problem best to go with a support ticket
Take care lets us know what the issue was if it is relevant to us. Wishing you well

Hi everyone. In an effort to make my new referrals feel welcome, I have been creating questions asking for people to welcome my newest referral.

Another me

If it means I have to wake up .. No problem

It doesn't bother me at all. If I am not interested in the topic of an email I just delete it.

Haha that's funny

I am always willing to welcome a new member. I know it still makes me feel good when people contact me :)

The best way to get anything you want in life is to ask. I just welcomed somebody for you, but it looks like nobody was home. So, ask away, I may not always drop everything and do it, but you can ask.

Exactly how I feel. I'm happy if 5 out of 210,000 people here respond to my request.

There's 210,000 people here?

Yes. I do assume that includes all that have ever signed up since I don't think there is a way to cancel the free membership. So I'm sure the active # is much much lower, but yes, 210,000 total. Pretty cool, huh?

Welcome to the WA and enjoy your success.

I guess I can see both sides, yes it can be a little unnerving because you may feel you should reply, but then again, if you don't want to just ignore! I personally think it is a nice touch, and takes only a few seconds to do!!

Perhaps I could reword it. It is not meant to be obligatory at all, just a humble request.

No no need to reword I was just staying that some people may feel they have to, and if that is the case it is their issue because you can 't control how someone feels.

I say keep it up, I am sure you new people are very happy to get a personal welcome, I know I would be!!

I've PMd Kyle to ensure it's not a problem. I don't want to create waves!!

It's just the nature of the WA community to be humble hosts.

Hi. Can you please clarify what you mean?

A little... LOL... just kidding!!! Not at all!

I actually thought what a great idea, and, how thinking like that separates you from the others. Let's all learn from that

noooooooooooo

Not at all, and if it did, I would ignore the request :)
