When signing up for a domain name at namecheap?
It's very cheap and you remain anonymous through your website, so I figured why not. Last thing I need is someone harassing me because of my website(s). Best wishes and seasons greetings. Good question so I think I'll follow you too!
I definitely agree with steveo5770,, I know for some people they wouldn't understand,,and think it's no big deal, but if you've ever had a stalker you would understand about putting your information online.
As it is today anybody can go online,, put your name or phone number
in google,,and google maps will take them to your front door!! To me it's not about having something to hide or being dishonest, It is about
personal privacy, Not trying to be a negative stephanie,,I believe you can have a business online,,That's why I'm here at Wa, I just think less
personal Info (home address) made public is best!
I really don't have any concerns about someone investigating who owns my domain name. I think it's just another way for the register sties to make $$$
They can see your home address and phone number. I just don't care for that kind of info being out there.
To be honest Rachel - even if your details are listed - it's no more than having them listed in a phonebook!
Actually anyone can get the information if they try hard enough. Thank you for taking the time to reply!!
Not a problem at all - always happy to help!
** Just out of interest - I've been online now for over four years - my name and address - must be all over the internet - but I've NEVER had a problem **
Hi Rachel! -
It comes free - with a domain at http://namecheap.com!
** NOT an affiliate link **
Thank you...I saw that but then it is 2.88 a year. I think that is worth it for some security on my name.

It is a good idea to get whoisguard?

It can avoid you getting spam advertisements in your Inbox. I let the whoisguard lapse on one of my sites and that's what happened to me!

Feedback on the actual content (as in spelling, sentence structure) or just what we think of the overall idea they are writing about?
I think people want both. Is it worthy content? Does it flow? Is it using proper English? etc.
Personally I would welcome all feedback. Fresh eyes pick up things that I miss. I've seen feedback at WA about content, grammar, spelling and even attitude. Its all good.
A lot of people have never written a blog before, so the exercise is for experience, a trial run you might say, to get you ready for the real thing.
Perfect. I hope when I get mine people will give advise that is helpful! Thank you for responding
Every thing if you look at my site give me your true opinon and any thing you think would improve it also it you think it is good enough to leave a comment them that would be nice too,up front and honesty in a nice was so we can all better what we are doing Vicki
All of the above. In addition, it would be great if you could leave a comment on their blog. Might as well, since you're already on their site.
I would not give feedback as a comment on their site though. Many people will do this. Make the comment relevant on the blog post. And just leave feedback here on WA
Hope this helps!

I have asked two separate questions and they are not displaying
About how the link to here ended up in my fiancé's work inbox. Not a big deal just thought it a little odd.
I did not receive that question and it seems, neither did jeremywest.
So, where did you post that question?
Was it at the top of this page, where it says, "Need help ------- ? Ask your question here" ?
Lets try and see what happened here.
I posted it on my questions and answers, I am not sure exactly where it is. I am honestly still trying to find my way around this site. No not the need help.
Wondermn Opps one of the downfalls of messages! I was just saying that it was not in the "need help Rachel" spot above NOT that I did not need your help!
So sorry for the confusion. I need all the help I can get!
okay, thanks. Glad I saw your message, I would hate to think anyone thought I would be rude that way! Really appreciate all your help with this!
I don't know...I guess into cyber wanna be space! Maybe I forgot the ? mark.
I had wanted to know why my link showed up in my fiancé's work inbox? I had not sent it to him.

totally separate from Getting started? I am stuck on Lesson one and before I move on I need to know if you set up a web site in bootcamp like you do in getting started?
I had the exact same question too. I just followed their directions and I'm working on creating my website. I tend to want to do the best at things and I think I'm overthinking this website thing and making it harder than it is. Good luck. I would advise you to just follow your training. It all comes together. I still read a lot on a lot of subjects and I go to other people's sites and look at them to get an idea what it's all about. Do that and you'll begin to understand.
Thank you. I am very stuck on the website thing, but I think I am going to start one following the directions and see where it take me. If anything I will have my private policy set up :)
Yes...separate. This bootcamp has to do with specifically promoting the very popular (albeit very competitive) niche of making money online or making money as an WA affiliate. So if you have an existing website that deals with making money, then you can use it. But if you have a totally irrelevant website (like cooking or raising dogs), then it would be better to get a different website.
It is separate. It is an in-depth program training you to promote Wealthy Affiliate. The content is similar, just a lot more specific.
Thank you. I think I am going to skip my 5 free days and just join now, seems like it will make my transition easier. REALLY looking forward to successful future here !!
Well there you go. A quick, correct decision. Man, I sound like I own the place. I don't have any share in it at all, other than my referrals. :-) I'm just addicted to it.
That's how I came up with the choice of becoming premium. I watched a few videos and realized I had already learned a lot and said well I want to continue to learn so lets do it and its been the best choice I ever made. Welcome to WA. I am also addicted to it its like my crack of the day BLAHAHAHA ;)
Awesome. Welcome to Premium! I expect great things from you! I guess a few days from now you'll be upgrading to yearly. :-)

I would like to see all the lessons before I set up my web site, is that something that can be done?
I would set up the website as you go. Not everyone finds that their first website works anyway, so you might as well learn about the nuts and bolts as you're going through the lessons. Also if you have any questions, they're easier to ask if you've already started 'doing' :) Beverley
It is a lot tougher to go through all the lessons and then go back and remember everything. It's much easier to learn a step at a time while building the foundation of your site.
Look to the menu on your left...click "certification courses." All the lessons are there.
Just curious...why do you want to see all the lessons before you set up your website?
Thank you for responding.
I am going through the lessons and I am up to build your website. I am not sure what I want that web site to be so I wanted to continue with the lessons thinking they may give me more insight into what my web site will include.
I see. Since you're still a starter member, you only have access to Course 1. But I'm sure you're going to upgrade soon ;)
There are a million different ways to build a website, just depends on what you want. The lessons won't tell you EVERYTHING your site needs but it will give you info to build a foundation for your site.
As you learn more and more, you will be able to tweak and improve on your site.
I don't recommend jumping around the lessons or even looking ahead, especially in the beginning. The trainings are set in this order for a reason.
