Hi Angela,
That's what I figured but I appreciate the quick clarification. Have a great day!

Lifetime cookies - more than one link clicked?
Since WA has a lifetime cookie, what happens when two different affiliate links from two separate affiliates have been clicked and then someone signs up? Who gets the referral
The last affiliate will always get the sale, that is how affiliate tracking works.
That is why it is beneficial to help people when they get to your site, this way you build trust and then when you make recommendations to these folks (like joining WA), they are that much more likely to take action. ;)
I was under the impression that if a referral entered WA the first time, a lifetime cookie for that computer was registered and then at ANY later stage if they joined from whatever source, the referral is credited to the original WA affiliate. Or am I missing something?
Hello Kyle
If someone visits WA for the first time throgh my referral link ... then later hunts the web for WA ... finally uses referral link of the reviewer he last visited to join WA then "Do I get credit for this referral due to lifetime cookies stored in his computer ?" or the person whose link he clicked last gets the credit.
Vise versa if he joins WA through my link but had visited WA previously through someone else's referral link but did not join then. Who will get referral credit since "lifetime cookies" were first put in his computer when he first visited WA through another person's link and not mine?
The "lifetime cookies" issue must be well understood before sending traffic to the referral link.
Please clarify exactly as to how we ensure that we get referral credit.
I think there should be our username somewhere on the landing page / squeeze page of our referral link so that we can guide the visitors to ensure they join WA under our link after ensuring that our username is there on the page, this will clear all confusions, don't you agree?
Hopefully I will get a clarification ... :)
Thanks Kyle .... I just read your reply to my PM which was copy pasted above .... Thanks. I am from India so the time difference causes this.
One suggestion :

Hi, All! I just have a question about posting blogs here at Wealthy Affiliate. I want to post something but I also think it would be good content for my site. How do you all
This is some clarification on duplicate content. There Is No Such Thing As A Duplicate Content Penalty You still don't want to be doing the same post twice, but you can rewrite it, I know some members here do that. :)
Do you all post the same blog here and on your website?

Got it ... I have to custom a homepage. Thanks.
I'm a little late to the party but this is good to know.
Thank you for this clarification, I appreciate it!
