I recently started using the SiteContent feature and noticed none of the articles are indexed in Google. 1 is a month old and 1 is just over a year old. Anyone else found that
Yes it took a little bit for mine to be indexed but once they started being indexed they have generally been being indexed faster.
Okay thanks. So I'm thinking that I just need to rebuild my authority after a long stretch of not working on my site :)
If it's indexed you can search your post URL on Google and it will show up. Make sure you use your browser in Private or Incognito mode.
If you look at your post on the SiteContent platform, there is a little google icon that turns green when it has been indexed.
When I mouse over it, it tells me the post is not yet indexed and the icon is gray.
This is the case for 6 articles now!
Yes that is true, but doing it the way I said is for sure whether you use Site Content or not, which I don't use.
If the page has been published, you will find by the method you described. I just tried it. But, even according to Google Search Console, they are not indexed.
Thank you for answering my question. I have been writing my poats, reviews and articles always on my website all my.. So, that means that I should write on SiteContent? I assume that would be better ten... what do you think?
SiteContent only transfers your content to your website and publishes it there. It is not better or worse. It's personal preference :)
No, not just because your page is published that you will be indexed. You must submit it to Google Console to get indexed or wait for Google to crawl it at some point.
This is so weird. I have been doing this for over a year now and I Have no Idea about this. I can't believe that after such a longo time and I haven't known this. Living and learning, tell me about it. I feel stupid.
I have two sites, my primary site I concentrate on this and none are indexed. My secondary site, I write posts when I get a chance and two of four posts are indexed!
I really can't see what I am doing different in either site.
Need more analysis I guess.
I wrote all my article in SiteContent plateform it ranked, sometimes add an additional wording or picture it helps.
Do you use Google Webmaster tools and submit the article for indexing?
Once published you can do that.
Yes, I immediately add them through the google add url function, post on G+ and put a link on my website's Facebook page :)
I have been using siteContent for the past month. Out of 12 articles I wrote so far only 2 were indexed. Perhaps, they were not indexed because the keywords were not good enough? or does it take more time? The two that were indexed took only a week or two. I am not sure.
Okay, I must need to rebuild my authority. I didn't write for almost 1 year so I'll have to be patient like when I first started out :)
Hey Steve,
Content published by site content definitely get indexed, one of mine (actually only one on site) just get indexed today.
Shubhaangi.
Cool. I hope to start seeing some of those. The last 5 articles I've published have not been indexed and it's starting to concern me.
What went wrong Steve or why didn't it reach indexed in google so I don't make the same mistakes With love Elvira

Steve, about the third result. I wonder if this is the same if you do all checking incognito, or at least when you are logged out.
I have this happen on everything that I write or do. For me, I think it is a byproduct of Windows 10, New fast computer. This thing is exactly like a phone, with apps, voice text, etc. This, BTW is a desktop computer. Doesn't matter, if I am on my laptop or phone. All the same. I was going to get the geek squad to help me out.
Hi Steve, Carson wrote it was necessary to check twice, first to have the post in the SiteSpeed cache and the second to check this cashed version.
No idea what happens the third time.
I always check a few times and I am not so lucky as you. Mobile is always red for all randomly checked post.
What to make of these site speed results?

My site doesn't work on my end when Site Speed is activated. Support tells me it works on their end. Could some of you test it for me and see if it loads? Thanks a bunch! :)
I'm getting the same error. There can be any number of reason for this, but it's usually a configuration error with one of your wordpress plugins. If it's only happening with Site Speed enabled, try removing the plugin and re-adding it.
Nope. I have another site on the same theme with the same plugins and it works fine. Thanks for trying though.
Hello I tried too,
Does not work !
To many redirections !
BTW thanks for the follow too !
Greets,
Attila
It does not load and I tried in both Chrome and Firefox -
Chrome says - redirected you too many times
And Firefox says - The page isn’t redirecting properly

Someone contacted me through my website and wants to throw me some ideas about doing a guest post. What should I expect from something like this?

This is an interesting question. I learned something new again, this time by reading the answers you received. Thank you.
Grace
I got the same offer I believe. From "Marina" right?
I found some of her other guest posts she's done, but didn't like the quality. They were obviously spun articles, and had an infographic at the end which led to her site. The quality was sub-par - not something I want on my website. Oh, and she didn't give backlinks from what I saw - only received them from the sites she contributed to.
If the offer was from someone else, I suggest you type in their name plus "guest post" in Google to see their previous work. It should give you a good indication of what to expect. If it's something packed with value that your readers would enjoy, by all means take it.
While doing research on my own, I found this post by Neil Patel about accepting guest posts, and found it extremely helpful: https://www.quicksprout.com/2013/02/18/dont-accept-guest-posts-unless-you-follow-these-7-rules/
Hope this helps!
She's probably sending the request to hundreds or even thousands of different webmasters. I guess she'll get a few takers (and she obviously already has).
It must be working at least for now, because the original (non-spun) posts which are on her websites (she actually has, or is a part of, two) are ranking on the first page for some competitive keywords, due to all the backlinks her guest-posting has generated.
Those rankings probably won't last long though, since it's obviously manipulating the system and that goes against "Big G's" rules. I say "obviously manipulating" because the articles are spun, and all have the same infographic. There is really very little value to the readers. And what readers don't value, Google doesn't value.
Hé Steve, nice to see you again, that's been a long time!
I have two guest post on two different websites
I do not give access, they can mail me the content, and I place it after approval.
Hiya Loes. Yes, I was MIA for a while. Been busy with music and playing in multiple band etc. Loving it, but I need to get back to business here as that will all end eventually.
Anyways. I definitely wouldn't grant them access but only accept their article through email. What I'm wondering is, what is the benefit to this? I possibly get traffic and they get a backlink?
Nice to have you back :) When they have a website, you can exchange links, one of my guest poster didn't had a website, and I believe he stopped WA, the other was someone from outside WA and we exchanged url's.
For me the benefit is, another post, another chance. He wrote a post about how to make an ebook, and doesn't advertise for website education.
I guess it wouldn't hurt to listen to her ideas and make a decision from there. Thanks for the feedback :)

I want to learn more about penny stock trading. Not to compete in the niche, just to learn more about it.
Send me a PM with a link to your site and I'll check it out. Th
I really like this information you have put here. It's literary the first time that I have read about this subject and I can understand a little bit. You have a very good way to express the info without confusing my head. I really would like to see more about it. This is Luzia Soares. How much would be the minimum that you can invest to try to understand the process. I always think that the best way to learn something is doing it! Thank you!
So much depends on the country you are in, government regulations and available ways to trade. If I knew nothing I would not spend a penny until I had played some free online stock market games. Just Google to find them but be careful they don't get any of your critical financial information. There are a lots of scams and it is easy to get sucked in my them. Play till you have a basic knowledge of what is going on. Then find a broker like Qtrade or Virtual Brokers and check them out before even thinking about giving them any money. Try to read both the good and bad and play with their trading platform.
Then I would do some research on the uranium (gold or silver also) industry and specific mining companies. Remember mining companies only tell you the positive. I would follow some penny stock bull boards and try to find out both the good and bad. Find some penny stocks that you like and put 2 or 3 hundred in 4 or 5 of them and follow them daily. Don't trade just follow and get use to them going up and down. Most people lose everything when they first start. It's like learning poker - you learn from your mistakes and gradually get better. You might even get lucky, but that is a big might.
I could go on and on, but I've got to get back to my websites.
Good luck!
My 2 bits about penny mining stocks.
Having traded penny mining stocks since 1960 and suffered the depression/elation of been up and down, I would say that there are as many different types of advice as there are stocks.
Myself - I now invest in penny mining stocks based on:
1. management's record and person ownership of shares;
2. supply and demand of the mineral;
3. risk - reward ratio;
4.I don't trade much - I buy when its low and hold; sell 1/2 when it doubles; and the use stop losses to protect at least 50% of your gain.
5. I pay for my shares and never buy on margin.
6. You can find information and advice all over the internet (more than you can ever digest). I rarely pay for it and if so very little.
The hardest thing to do is to control your emotions (especially greed) and follow your own plan.
Right now I really like uranium's 3 year outlook. I also favour junior silver and gold companies who are solvent, have enough money in the bank to last a couple of years, good management, and have proven assets in the ground more than exploring for them. Some intermediate companies have a lot of proven resources and are also an operating mine with revenue coming in. I like them, but rarely ever advise relatives to buy because they can always go sideways and DOWN.
I also GAMBLE on some stocks below .50 cents a share.
I would keep 10% in silver and gold bullion buried where you believe its safe and not in banks.
Personally I follow Doug Casey, Rick Rule and Martin Katusa.
Well, I took a good bit of advice from someone who said to look at companies which legally deal with Delta9-trans-tetrahydrocanabanol...with all the new laws that went into effect 1 January, I picked up a couple of blocks of a couple of these companies...just checked the Market Close...one of them is up 8% on the year and the other is up 20.7% on the year...so I'm happy thus far...gonna buy a couple more blocks as soon as I can afford it...

Yes. Of the little amount of articles I have written there recently, only one seems to be indexed
