About WKnoepp
Joined November 2014
Retired electrical/aeronautical engineer. Since I'm running out of money I'm in there now trying to run uphill in this fiercely competitive business. My first computer was a pencil and a paper bag. Then I graduated to a slipstick, a Burroughs computer, and finally the IBM 360. These modern machines are presenting a problem to an old guy like me and I'm spending more time learning about them than I am in trying to market affiliate products. My 10 year old great granddaughter knows a hundred times more about this business than I do, but since I'm not in my dotage yet, I'm still capable of learning. .

Hemp was outlawed in the U.S. in the late19th century by a congress bought and paid for by the lumber industry. It seems we've always been saddled with a bought and paid for congress. At that time, the lumber industry felt threatened because hemp products are easily converted to building materials like studs, siding, shingles etc. This stuff was cheaper, lighter, stronger and impervious to termites. So all these years we've been deprived of cheap, useful, and superior building products in the interest of profits for a narrow industry. And nothing has changed.

Werner,
I have the same experience with grand children knowing more about computers than we do. My ability to learn as slowed down with age.

Wishing you success with being able to supplement what was saved for retirement and now is not enough. Exactly my reason for being here.

But someone told me in a comment not too long ago that you have 20 years on me. That gives me hope that If I keep active, learning and have a positive mind set I maybe around another 20 or so years from now.

Hey,
I've joined WA for three months ago and I have just decided to follow some of the WA members. Look, I think that WA is a nice community for the long running IM business success story but I suggest that we need to create some advertising space in order to promote our products and services. You can read the rules and some more details at www.adf100.com
If you'd send me an email message at adfplan@gmail.com I'll explain you everything about the simple formula to Earn from Different Sources.
Kind regards

Werner, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

I also wanted to mention the success rates of Bootcamp. Absolutely everyone that has taken action on all of the phases of Bootcamp has a business that is generating consistent income online. MANY of these folks are going to be at our super affiliate conference next year.

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Trust me, I know things can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I don't want you feeling like that.

Anyways, just checking in. Get back at me if you need anything Werner.

Hi Werner, just a quick Thank You for your responses to a few of my questions in recent weeks.
I happened to notice your comment about wishing you had more time to devote to WA. You seem like the kind of guy who enjoys a good challenge, so I'll respond to your comment the same way my Dad did to me some years back when I made the same remark to him regarding me not having time to coach our School Baseball team.

It's funny how we always seem to be able to find time to do the things that mean the most to us in life, just like we seem to find the money for things we just have to have, or can't live without.

When he pointed out that I sleep an Avg of 6 hours a night, 365 nights a year, I realized I sleep a total of 91.25 days each year, I'm literally asleep 3 full months of every year. If I were sleeping 8 hours a night, I'd be sleeping a little over 4 months a year.

That blew my mind, I no longer say I don't have time, because I do.
If I get up 1 hour earlier and stay up one hour later each day for an entire year, I've found an extra 730 hours or 30 days to do what Rick Wants, an entire month.

I thought I'd share that, every time I hear someone say, I don't have time, I remember that conversation with my Dad like it was yesterday.

Good Luck to you Werner !!!
Rick

Thanks for your comment, Rick, but I'm way ahead of you. When I was working a job I would start at 08:00 hrs. Now that I'm "retired" and in this business, I start at 05:30 and work 'till at least 22:00 hrs. It's not that I don't have time to work in my business, it';s time I'd like to give to WA which needs to take a back seat to other demands. On top of that, my wife insists I take time for family dinners on sunday.
Reply
rickgcrocker Premium
I'm with you man, I'm sort of in the same situation, almost 61, retired, I have a 10 yr old daughter and a 13 yr old son at home, so I'm a stay at home Dad as well.
I get them up, I fix their breakfast, I take them to school, I pick them up from school, I take them to sports activities and Birthday parties, I take them to Doctor and Dentist Appointments, I see that their homework assignments are completed, and as often as possible, I prepare dinner so my wife doesn't have too after working all day.
Oh, and by the way, I forgot to mention, the household chores need to be done when the kids are at school, in other words, I wear the "Maid Hat" too.
My wife is very jealous of my time since she's gone all day, so in order for me to get WA time, time for Rick, I find that when the lights are out and everyones all tucked in having "Sweet Dreams", sound asleep, I do all I can do, a little here and little there, you know the drill.

If I'm not strategic in looking for time for me, I'll be a Professional Cook, Bottle Washer, Babysitter, and Maid the rest of my life.
Essentially, it's no different than being an employee, always doing things for everyone else but me, living by everyone else's schedule but my own.

It's tough I know, hang in there and get it while you can bud.

See ya Werner,
Rick

I know the feeling WK. I can remember when I was in college. Carrying around a K&E Slide Rule sort of identified us as technical or engineering geeks. I mastered my K&E ... it saved my butt in many exams.

I'll bet your granddaughter does not even know what a slide rule is ... or was. It almost seems like the digital age has somehow mutated in our children's genes.

Thanks Larry. I remember the Eniac too. Worked on her in graduate school at U of Chi. Had a bicycle with a tube caddy on the back and rode around the square block installation changing burned out vacuum tubes. Could tell a lot of stories about that. First computer "bug" was found there; a moth stuck between the contacts of a relay in a matrix. Oh, yeah, I'm 94. I still remember stuff though.

That's how I felt when I started too. The thing about us older folks is that persistence has become second nature. We know how to target a goal and get there. You can do this! The actual shortcut that I see here compared to other sites I have tried to learn from, is that here everyone is willing to help without being too pushy. I have only been here a few days but it seems like I have finally found the best place to actually accomplish making some income from online.
