I’ve had a long and varied career. For over the last 30 years it’s been in Sales. I’ve been lucky enough to be able to be successful with products and services I actually believed in. I’ve been given the responsibility to hire and train hundreds of agents and salespeople. I’ve always been skeptical of candidates that told me they could sell anything to anybody. I know I couldn’t, nor did I ever want to.

If I have any real talent it’s to take a complex concept and boil it down to it’s essence, it’s most simplest form and then teach it. That’s what I’d like to do here. Right now I’ve got a lot to learn, I know it, I look forward to it.

I have owned my own business in the past, but over the last several years I’ve had the desire to have my own online business. You would think with all the offers from experts to show me how to do just that, it would be easy to find an offer I believed in. I haven’t until now. WA where have you been hiding?

Money has never been my driving force. I don’t need a lot to be comfortable or happy. My goal has always been to make money and have fun. I need to do both here, and I will. I think it will be fun to build a business, here with you people. If I do it right the money will come. I look forward to the journey. To learn something new and then to share what I learn with others. With old friends and new. What could be more fun?

BrooklynPhil's Goals 3
Money Goals
#1 I'm not money motivated, I choose to be happy no matter what I'm earning. What's in my bank account is not a measure of who I am. I could be happy earning $300 a week.
#2 I've earned $1,500.00 a day in at least five different careers, going back 40 years. What would make me ecstatic with an online business? $1,000.00 a day.
#3 Time is what I have. If starting and running a business is the fun I expect it to be than I won't be watching the clock. I'll be learning and thinking about the business every second I'm awake. I know I've made it when I dream about my business.

Now that is what I like hearing in goals.. Someone with a clear mind, and not blinded by artificial success. Discover true success within, and all this artificial nonsense comes flying at you.

Had to follow you Phil!

Great place to be for people like you. Learn and prosper.

I agree with you completely, If the business is fun, it no longer becomes work but a happy pastime in which I just happen to generate an income. I am NOT looking to become "rich" I seek only to be able to do a little traveling to see the children, to financially aid them and others when the need arises and Give God the 10 % due him!!

Right back at you Damien, Let's just enjoy the journey and rock this house. Phil

If you're happy you are "rich". Let's choose to be happy. Not like a smiling idiot, but like somebody that has a reason to get out of bed every morning knowing we are getting one step closer to our goal.

I second what others have said here. My goals are only financial in the sense of wanting to a) take care of myself and my family and b) having the freedom to enjoy a lifestyle that feels natural to me. The thought of being able to work from any location in the world is a great driving force!

Hi Phil,

Nice to meet you. Sounds like you've got an awesome skill set to help you achieve your goals here at Wealthy Affiliate. I love how you said money is not your driving force. Myself and my wife are the same way, we don't need a lot to be comfortable or happy either, but we would love to have more freedom, with time mostly. A regular job sure does stuff you in a box and limit your freedom.

Anyway, thanks for following me.

See you around,

Jon

Hey, Jon, thanks for following me back.
You've been here a goof long time and I've been here almost two years. It seems strange we've never crossed paths before.
We've taken care of that now.
I hope all is going well.
All the best.
Phil

Yes, I started off a long while ago, but only came back and went premium this month. Not that strange after all.

Best kind. Hope all is going well for you as well.

Hi Phil, thank you so much. I hope all is well. I think our paths were meant to cross lol! I am doing a healthy lifestyle niche and would welcome the opportunity to connect! Do you have a group going in this niche? I was starting to wonder if perhaps I was being a bit too broad, but perhaps not!

Tanya, I did try to start a Healthy Lifestyle niche where at WA back in January, it never really took off. I'll take the heat for that.

When I first put up my website my categories were; Healthy Lifestyle, Lose Weight, Cooking Healthy, Exercise, Relieve Stress and Lower Back pain & Stop Smoking. For me these were all interrelated topics that I had found solutions for.

Many WA Experts told me that it was all too much to be one niche and I needed to pick one. I decided to find some other experts. Who was right? I don't know but I love my niche as it is.

What would I advise you? Learn as much as you can and then take some time to consider what is most important to you. You can expand or cut back to your hearts content. Add website and niches as you go.

I don't think there's one right way. Do it your way, and enjoy the journey.

Phil

Thank you Phillip, for your following. I believe it doesn't necessarily take a lot of money to be happy, and that a great deal of your desires can be accomplished at WA because I think it's indeed a very lovely place. Also, I admire your desire to teach others; keep up as they like to say in my country, 'the positive vibes'. I wish you steady focus on the tasks here, and lots of money, sufficient to share with those in need.

Hi Phil. Thanks for the follow and I will certainly reciprocate. Looks like you've been associated with WA for quite awhile. I love to see that since it shows success and obviously that's why we are all here!
I've been working on my site for about 6 months now but am progressing slowly since I'm not real computer savvy, but am really enjoying the time i have put into my "whimsical" endeaver! Nice to meet you and I wish you continued success...
Warm Regards,
Kathy (Westwaters)

Hey Kathy, thanks for following me back.
I see from your profile that you're a retired Sport/Health and Fitness Professional. My niche and my passion right now is my Healthy Lifestyle website. I would love to get your professional opinion on the content of my website. I'm not a professional health and fitness expert, just a senior trying to live as long as I can as healthy as I can and share what I've learned along the way. If you have the time please stop by your comments and critique would be greatly appreciated.

All the best.
Phil
