3 Month Anniversary
Wow, I thought it would never get here...lol. But now it seems to have flown by.
So, what have I done with this time?
I took a deep breath on day three. Day seven brought about writer's block and day ten I learned patience. On my 11th day I finally got my paypal account straight so I could upgrade to premium! 12 days in I had an AHA moment and realized how much I love what I do! Which is working on my site http://mosm.info/
I posted a two week progress report on day 13. I set up my second site, http://thebossqueenb.com/, and asked my family for some feedback on day 14.
Day 15 I was able to share a beautiful story where my family experienced a blessing in true pay-it-forward fashion. I learned a little bit about stats on day 17.
22 days in I shared some personal progression my family had experienced. The next day (23) I found my site on page 5!
Reflection on relationships came on day 24 followed by being overwhelmed on day 28. The next two days brought exasperation but then decided I needed to have some comic relief.
The next step on day 32 was to decide which of my sites I would buy a domain name for first (I could only afford one). Day 34 I shared what I learned about Favicons.
Day 36: I felt legit after buying my domain name for my mom site but my success feeling was short lived when I began to fight with setting up Mad Mimi. (I will share my success with that in a minute.)
Day 38: I was a busy, busy bee. I put up my third website - http://myregren.com/
Wordpress lesson on making a menu un-clickable came to me by Jen (Jenna7) on day 39.
Two days later (40) I finally got Mad Mimi sorted out thanks to the help of their wonderful support staff.
The next day (41) I applied for adsense and documented the steps. I was unable to put up a training (can now!) so I have it in a slideshow. (anyone interested can PM an email to send it to.)
I took a community poll on logos for my sites on day 42 and then followed that (day 43) with discovering how awesome categories are.
Day 44 was a sad one for me - I lost a very loved aunt and I don't think I will ever be the same.
I took a couple days off and came back to share how I learned to link my pinterest pins back to my site to my clickable affiliate links. (day 46)
Day 47: You won't believe it unless you see it - how we set up our new washer and dryer.
Okay the list is getting a bit long so let's skip the extras. :)
History lesson, ready for Christmas?, lessons learned behind bars, search for free images, unplugged, where will you be in 100 years, Swagbucks to help pay for WA (it works - I do it.), why bedtimes are important, first sale! through clickbank, How to make a video ad for your blog for free, video walk through to create a gravatar (image that shows when you comment on a website),
A couple weeks ago, I gained some perspective. I then discovered some more ways to make me money to pay for WA - and shared of course.
After a pretty bad day, I came across some really terrible jokes but they made me laugh - so I shared them with my family.
And finally I shared my thoughts on being an ambassador.
Now of course I don't expect you to read each and every one - there are 42! But if one sparks your interest, please do check it out. All links are to my WA blog pages - no affiliate links here. :)
Now, the question everyone wants to know:
at least, new members probably do...
Have I Made Any Money?
The answer is yes. It's not enough to support myself BUT it is enough to convince me that WA works. The lessons are invaluable and the people in this community are priceless!
I made a clickbank sale with a commission of $180 - BUT I have to wait for the return period to pass and per clickbank terms, I have to also make four more sales before I can get paid.
Make sure you read your terms when signing up for any affiliate!
As of this post, my adsense balance is $46.02. You have to get to $100 before they pay out.
Has it Been Worth it?
It has been SO worth it. I have made some lasting friendships.
I have gained a wealth of knowledge - not only from the training, but from the many knowledgeable people here!
What is the secret to success?
To me, the best thing you can do to ensure you succeed - - - - -
If you don't believe in you, why would anyone else?
Call it cocky, proud, self-confident - call it whatever you like.
I have always believed you can do ANYTHING you want in life,
you just have to want it bad enough.
My Goals For 2015
I just have 3 but they are pretty big.
1. I will get my daughter situated and on her own - completely. We are working on this now. (I can finally be the only one I am responsible for!)
2. I will visit the UK. I have always wanted to. It is time.
3. I will make . . . hmmm, maybe I will keep that one to myself lol.
ADVICE
Let me leave you with a few tidbits that just may save your sanity.
Give yourself time. You are building a business and it won't happen overnight.
Don't stress over stats and ranking right away. Set up your analytics and WMT then forget them for the first threes months at least.
Write, write, write....like Kyle says in the lessons, content is key!
And remember - people buy solutions! What are you offering your audience?
HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?
Oh, and just a little FYI - if you go here - you can see how many blog posts you have written and how many comments you have made in the community.
I have written 42 blogs (this is 43), asked 42 questions, and made 2,841 comments.
Does this mean I like to write or talk or both? ;)
