Patience is a virtue

Today I had two doctor's appointments. I'm sure most of you have the same experience when you go to the doctor. You wait in the waiting room, then you wait at the nurses station to get your vital, then you wait in the exam room for the doctor, then you wait at the check out desk so you can leave. See a pattern?

While I'm doing all this waiting (and remember - I had 2 appts so that's double the waiting), my un-diagnosed ADD mind is going a mile a minute while I'm playing solitaire on my phone to pass the time. I got a whole lot of great ideas for new blog posts and content for my pages (I gotta remember to take me some paper everywhere I go).

One of the things (out of hundreds lol) I was thinking about was patience. The old quote came to mind, "Patience is a virtue." And then I thought, I bet they never had to wait at a doctor's office. :/

Then my thoughts turned toward my website and WA, as they usually do. I don't know about patience being a virtue, but it sure is helpful to have when you have long term goals. And wishing something would happen is never going to make it happen, so why stress over it, right?

When it comes to my website, I am never in a rush. This is my baby, something I've wanted to do for a long time. I have always believed that what is meant to happen is going to happen. If it's something you have to try and force into existence, then it's not really meant for you.

So when you are choosing your niche, take your time and make sure it is something meaningful to you. That way you don't have to worry so much about motivating yourself. While you are putting your website together, take it step by step and you will get there. I didn't know anything about building websites or wordpress before I came to WA.

And you can take comfort in the fact that you finally found THE RIGHT place to be. The courses are awesome and educational and pretty easy to follow. The people are so awesome and always willing to answer questions and even walk you through a dozen times until you get it lol.

Ayway, that's my two cents. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Angela, I went to the same pattern last week when I had a doctors appointment. I resonate with what you write. I am trying to be more patient with all the tasks ahead that need to be done to have my website ready. Thanks for sharing. Blessings!

Angela, I do empathize with you, but there's a reason they call them"waiting rooms". I like the sign in my accountants office, and he won't see you without an appointment.

"This is the Waiting Room, If You're Not Prepared to Wait, Then You're In the Wrong Area" it makes me laugh every time I see it... hour...after hour.... ;^)

that's funny, I like that

I didn't know much when I got here either. Be a sponge. Ask questions. Do whatever you have to do to keep learning. Things start clicking after a while and then the fun begins :)

Exactly. I have a notebook I keep with my laptop so I can write some quick notes down and any lessons or posts I wanted to reference I bookmark. There is sooo much to learn here.

Good things to think about, Angela. Thanks or sharing!

Thanks :) Sometimes you have to let the thoughts ooze out lol.
