Writer's Block or Lack of Motivation
So, this is the end of my first week here at WA. I must say, I am very excited about the direction my website is going. I have 13 pages and 5 posts. I have 2 affiliations besides WA, now I just need to get the traffic lol. I have had a few bumps in the road but I think things are back on track now.
I had one day, about mid-week, where I just couldn't seem to contribute anything useful. Maybe it was writer's block, maybe lack of motivation, or maybe my brain froze from exertion on writing my review for WA lol. I've never done a review like that and I felt like it was the hardest post I've done so far.
I also think I might be un-diagnosed ADD! Even in high school (yes, I CAN remember that far back), I can remember that sometimes my mind would have so many thoughts, ideas and facts running through it that it's hard to focus on just one.
Nowadays, I find I still have that problem at times. I find myself thinking about several or all of my pages at the same time. When I am able to tunnel my focus on one subject, I have to really tune everything else out. My daughter has told me she has to practically yell at me or shake me to get my attention.
Maybe my problem is neither writer's block or lack of motivation. Maybe my brain just needs a break every now and then. It is a muscle after all. Even body builders say to rest your muscles and not work out every day.
I guess I am just thinking out loud here? I figured that was what this blog is for as well as maybe my ramblings might help someone else. Give your brain a rest now and then.
The long and short of it is - I couldn't be happier that I found WA. I'm finally doing something that I have been wanting to do for some time now.
Hey, now maybe I'll even finish one of my books! Stranger things have happened lol.

You just need to rest your brain once in a while! It is all so overwhelming! A really party for those of use with un-diagnosed ADD!

I like your blog! Yes, I think I may have ADD too!, was going to check out a site to diagnose it, but I was sidetracked! No, (just joking). Seriously though, Thank you for your helpng me out with info and I hope your back is ok. I have a lower back problem too and it gets annoying all the time. I can relate to back problems. I think you will go far! you have been helping me a lot and I didn't realise you are new too! I have a feeling you will step into this like an old shoe and go places. Good luck, take care of yourself and success to you!
Thanks! Yep, I am new too. :) About 10 days. I just ask a lot of questions. And any time I can help I am happy to. Pay it forward, you know.
I feel great about being here at WA. I am really loving working on my site. I talk to so many people on here, so forgive me if I repeat anything. Feel free to check out my site:

Tell me what you think and if you see something you like, feel free to leave a comment.
My back is ok for now. I'm not a candidate for surgery yet so that is a good thing but I do know it only gets worse.
Hi Angela! I like your site! Excellent sense of humour! Great topics!Especially about acceptance and rejection. I wrote a post on it. Great! keep going!
Thanks. I appreciate the feedback. I wasn't sure what you meant about the hyphens in the word columns? Could you elaborate?
Hi Angela! It isn't that big a deal, but I remember a teacher telling me to try not to use hyphens as much as possible. Makes it easeir to read? Maybe it is a technical problem? If a person writes a txt file then plops it into a narrow coloum....Is the computer creating the hyphens?
I looked at other peoples websites here and the same thing is happening?
I like your idea of Mom's for single mothers! That one idea could be a gold mine it seems. You have so much passion and fire for it! When a person is on fire for something it catches the reader on fire! Way to go! What If you put a paypal donate button on it ? Could that work?
Thanks. I appreciate the encouragement. I will try to keep an eye out for my hyphen usage. :)
I looked on paypal, it seems to have a donate button you have to be a non-profit? I'm not sure. I'm totally new to paypal too.
I may get overload, so many new things in one month lol.
I used paypal buttons on my conventional non-wordpress site.
They walk you through it real good and fairly easy. They make money by people using the buttons, so they do help you to start using them. If you need help let me know? I should go there again myself and check it. It has been a long time since I made them.
They produce the html for you, and you copy and paste the html into your site...If I can help I will
ok, thanks. So paypal gives you the html? and you paste it where in your site? in the widgets?
Hi Angela, The web editor I used in the non-wordpress site allowed me to have a spot anywhere on the page for a html code. That is a good question? I don't know enough about wordpress yet? I'll try to find out right now.
Hi Angela, Yes I think it is in appearance, then widgets,
then text(or html)
When I opened the text widget it had a place for a title and I think it goes in the text body that is below it.
Yes, paypal creates them for you, you can get a cart, veiw cart. and add to cart . All have their html code.
I believe I only had to use one add to cart button.....then I edited it in notepad for different product prices. At that point in notepad it was easy to see where the price was and if I remember right also the product description. The html is just a small line of text and you can see the price within it. when the site is published or viewed that little bit of text code turns into a button.
Hope this helps?
Thanks again Angela.....an idea from your site made me think about a blog I can do! I just realised something about myself and it is something that other people probably encounter. Two heads are better than one! Wait a minute.....2 million heads with WA! oh no
A new sci-fi movie? 2 million headed WA creation! heheh( just joking).
I like humor (it is the best medicine!)
