Categories
I had another epiphany!
Big surprise, I know!
I was reading another WA member's post on their website and it hit me like a ton of bricks.
All this time, I didn't even want to try and understand categories. I was thinking, the menus and sub menus work great. I couldn't see the value of categories and I wasn't trying to figure it out either.
I am an organizer. If you all ready understand categories, you probably had a little chuckle right there. Categories are awesome for organizing your blog posts!
I currently have 21 blog posts on my site. I was thinking it would be so nice for my readers not to have to scroll through all of them to get back to my very first post. Go ahead, shake your head in disbelief. I did when I realized what I was missing.
STEPS
So, for those of you who have not learned of this great thing called categories:
Go to dashboard then posts.
Select categories.
Here you can create different category names.
After you have created the category names you can then go to your list of posts.
Go into quick edit under the post title and change the category of each post.
Now you can get organized!
Yep, I figured out how to make a signature too!
Thanks to Carla ;)
She sent me to bootcamp training: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/wa-affiliate-bootcamp-get-visual-get-aesthetic-get-a-brand-through-media-phase-4/creating-logos-images

Thanks. I created a couple of different categories and I put each post I write into one of those categories... but I didn't have a clue why I was doing that! lol
Not only, but also: Ta Da! you can use a Widget called Archives so people can find all your posts listed by month and year. Great work Angela, I love your signature and I was going to ask for the name of the typeface but instead I'm off to cooltext.com My thanks to you and Carla. ~Marion
YEAY! I helped you!!! I use both drop-down menus and categories. I use categories more on my verydressyflats.com site because I have very limited space and the top of the built-in artwork doesn't allow for the menus. I could change it in the coding (someone told me how), but I don't think it would look right. So posts are in categories in a sidebar menu there. On realmoneynoscams.com, I put the posts in categories, but I like the drop-down features up top better. I have a limited sidebar menu in a widget for things like About Me and DIsclaimers, etc. You're on a roll, my friend!
Awesome Angela. I have put my blog posts into categories myself and believe it helps the reader out to find subject they are interested in. i have them in a drop down menu at the moment. I may look into other ways to present them also. The more we can get our blog content visible, the better. Wishing you great success. :)))
Thanks! I agree and that's what I was trying to figure out. I wanted to make it easier for someone to find an older blog. I guess I was being stubborn about checking out categories because my mind was tired lol.
I've been doing this since day 1 LOL! Glad to see that you see the benefits of this technique as well Angela.
Oh my gosh. I could not believe it when I came to the realization of how easy it was and how great it was! lol
Some techniques are actually quite easy ;) I know it's hard to believe when you work your way through other lessons and techniques that give you a headache LOL!

I have all of my articles as Pages under Menus. I know I should make my Pages into Posts and then put them under Categories.
I'm only wondering should I do that now, or wait until I change my theme?
Well here's where my Life's Mantra comes into play. "Never put off until tomorrow, what you can put off until the day after" ;^)
lol, right, day after is better. ;)
Makes more sense to me to wait until you change themes.
