Favicons
I'm sure most of you know what a favicon is. I did not before I came to WA. Well, I had seen them before, I just didn't know what they were called. For those who don't know, here is what wikipedia says:
A favicon (short for Favorite icon), also known as a shortcut icon, Web site icon, tab icon or bookmark icon, is a file containing one or more small icons, most commonly 16×16 pixels, associated with a particular Web site or Web page.
I think favicons are great. They set you apart from all the other tabs on a web browser. I don't know about you guys, but I usually have ten or more open at the same time!
I noticed that a lot of WA member sites that I look at do not have one. I just see the default provided by WA. Everyone looks the same.
What's my point? you might ask. I guess I just wanted to put the information out there for those who don't know what it is. Make yourself stand out!
Or don't, it's up to you.
If you do want a favicon, WA provides training on just how to set one up.
I don't know about you but I am unique. Well, except maybe for my doppelganger out there somewhere?

Yeah, when I was setting up my home page I was asked to upload my favicon? I guess I can go work on that next:)

I didn't know what a favicon was either! I asked a question here, how to get a little image on the tab of my site, that's how I discovered it!
I don't remember when I discovered that what it was called. I love it though. Is it sad how little it takes to make me happy? lol
