Week 2 Progress
I just finished Course 2 and my final assignment is to do this Blog.
I can't believe how much progress I've made in a short time (2 weeks tomorrow). I knew nothing about building a website or affiliate marketing before I got here. Next to nothing about marketing. What I did know? That I had desire. Desire to share my experience and lessons learned with others who may be just starting the journey I survived. I jumped in with both feet (even though I can't swim!).
I'm not afraid to try new things and WA makes it so easy. And the people are unbelievable too. (See Carla, I can use it the right way! lol) I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks. (But almost 42 is not old, right?)
Now I have built a website, my baby. (Hmmm, I always said I would never have any more kids. One was enough. Go figure.) Sometimes I can't contain my excitement. I have 12 blog posts, 31 pages (granted, a few are just headers), and 13 comments!
Check me out: http://mosm.siterubix.com/
I have three affiliates besides WA. My Amazon has gotten 5 clicks in the week since I opened the account. WA stats: 15 clicks today and 36 for the month! And those are unique clicks, not raw. (I just learned the difference today.) If you don't know, here's the link that explains it: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/getting-started/what-are-raw-and-unique-clicks
I don't even care (yet) that I haven't made any money, I'm excited about the clicks!
My 3 month goal is to be able to buy my own domain and in 6 months I hope to have at least one sale, I don't care if it's only $1.
Thanks for taking the time to read my story.

Well Angela, I've got 2 weeks on you. I remember when you started, and now you've left me in the dust. I say "Congratulations! and Full Speed Ahead".
You may want to consider aiming your goals I little bit higher. Mine smoke yours. ;^)
I'm sure we'll plateau somewhere together :)
I have a lot more free time than most people though. I'm home all day with my grand kids. Right now I'm typing while Nyla (3 yr old) is watching Gnomeo & Juliet and Cornell(2 yr old) is crying his head off because he's mad I won't let him type too. lol Such is my life but I love it (most of the time - HA).
I do have higher goals but I don't really consider them goals. They are possibilities that I will still be okay if they don't happen.
After 42 years (almost), I have learned I don't need a lot to be happy. matter of fact, I have gotten rid of a lot.
But we are all different and together we make a great family!
Now that's just nasty, rubbing my nose in it, tell me you're beating me like a rug while you've got little kids hanging all over you.
Young lady, you have a real mean streak in you. I predict that you'll do very well. 8^)
lol, well that's what my daughter says too. Only she says I'm bitchy. ;-P
I think we will all do well. We have the tools and a great support family.
I can't wait to get on her every day and see who I can help and who can help me. :)
Wow, that's great! Now here in NYC, one pack of cigarettes would buy you your very own Domain Name.
May I ask how were you able to stop?
Are you a Happy Non-Smoker, or do you feel like you gave up something?
The same here just about. I used to smoke Newports but with not working and someone else paying, I had to go to a cheap brand.
I stopped by taking Chantix. I didn't have any of the side effects. I have heard a lot of people say they had nightmares. But then, I never remember my dreams anyway. Rarely anyway.
I guess I'm of a mixed feeling but more happy than not. I smoked for 20 years. I liked it. But I can't afford it any more. Now I have health problems to consider to - degenerative disc, diabetes and whatever else my doctor comes up with next lol.
I used to have nightmares about touching a cigarette ever again. You couldn't pay me enough to ever touch one. Good luck.
Awesome Angela!!! I'm just as excited as that little girl in that picture for you!! You already know I'm a fan of your website!! You Go Girl!!!!
Wow! Your site is awesome Angela! I think you are going to have great success! You are offering so many pages of advice, humor, product reviews, and other things that single mothers need and want. Wow again! I am very impressed! I may be looking to you for some inspiration!
Thanks. Sometimes I feel it was too easy and maybe I'm missing something. I just have so much I want to share. I have even more pages I'd like to add like legal advice for custody, visitation and child support issues. I may have to branch to a new site but don't want to if I don't have to. My whole idea was to have ONE place to go for information. If I don't have the right stuff, I'll at least give you a direct link and save you time. Single moms and new moms don't have a lot of free time.
I understand that as I was a single mother for six years. I went to college and worked during those years and it was very hard to get help. I work with single mothers and their children and I try to provide as many resources as possible. I will be adding your site to the list of resources I offer. You have really done a great job! Don't doubt yourself. Maybe make a list of all the topics you want to talk about and then add them one at a time to your site. I always feel better addressing one topic completely and then moving to the next item on the list. It helps when I get overwhelmed with having so much to say. You've got this girl!
Sometimes I feel like I can't contain it lol. My daughter probably thinks I'm crazy...well crazier than she all ready thought I was.
