Taking a Deep Breath
I've been going up and down like a yo-yo, feeling excited and overwhelmed at times. I am excited about getting my web page together. It is a topic and task I have been thinking about for a long time. I have been through a lot in my 42 years, as a single mother and just in life generally. It is my desire to help others through my experience, with a focus more towards single parents. I feel I have a lot to offer.
Today is my third day. I have to remind myself I am learning new language as well as new skills. Although I do consider myself a little tech, internet and social media savvy, I know there is so much more to learn. I have to remind myself I am not racing with anyone. I guess it feels that way sometimes in part because of my timer counting down in the top right corner. Even though I know it only counting down the time I have left to take advantage of a discount. I really shouldn't be concerned about that. I have to do things at my own pace. It's going to take me as long as it takes me. I was concerned because I don't work and knew it would be easier to borrow $19 than $47 lol. But I did get my sister to loan me the money but have been having trouble getting my payment processed.
Anyway, maybe the payment issue is a sign. Not necessarily that I shouldn't be doing this but maybe that the monthly bill right now is going to be too much of an added strain to our already tight budget that is so tight you'd think an elephant was sitting on your chest making it hard to breath.
So, it's time for me to put things in perspective. It's time for me to take a deep breath and look at this new avenue like I do everything else in life. What is meant to be, will be and there's a reason for everything. I am still going to work on my page and have fun with it. I will do my best to make it spectacular and useful.
Everyone here has been extremely helpful and I am grateful. I hope that, even if I am unable to get my payment processed before my timer runs down, that I can still count on some help until I can upgrade. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my experience and I'm not going anywhere.

I know how intense the first few days and how overwhelming it can feel trying to jam so much information into your head, so you can get up and running. Try to just stay calm and really look deep into what you will be comfortable writing about and building over time, while learning the basics in the meantime. :) If I can help... you know where to find me.
Thanks. I'm feeling better now. I just had to remind myself of why I'm actually doing the page. Yes, making money through it would be great but mainly it is because it is a subject I am passionate about.
I do have a question. I posted it on my main profile page too. In the main page of my website, there is no leave a reply section. Can I add one to my main page? If so, how?
Hello Angela. Everything you have written here makes me remember my first days at WA. I am glad you have found the necessary support to move ahead and that the experience you have had at WA so far has been rewarding. Blessings!
Hilda
Thanks Hilda. Everyone here has been great. I didn't expect so much help without being upgraded. I have already learned so much in just 3 days.
You have a great perspective on your situation, Angela. You can go a long way on the free membership. Take what you are learning, find good keywords, and build content on your site. That takes some time anyway. Keep enjoying the experience and stayed plugged into the conversations. You'll continue to learn.
Thanks. It does take a long time to get all your content ready. It's definitely a lot more work then I thought it would be but it's not really work if you're enjoying it now is it?
I'm try to figure out the WA affiliate thing at the same time. I'd like to get that up and running at least.
I've just reached the affiliate part of the lessons, which I realize you don't have because you haven't had the funds to get to Premium. Kyle keeps stressing to not worry about that until you have content and are getting some following on your site. I have only a total of 3 blog posts so far and haven't gotten one to be highly ranked, so I still don't have people coming to me site. What does he tell us? Write more content.
One tip that comes up a little down through the training that I can pass on to you. Look for keywords that don't necessarily have a lot of monthly hits but have QSR (in Jaaxy) of under 100. Those are low competition. Write posts with the keyword in the title and first paragraph and then let the post flow. Kyle calls these "low-hanging" fruit. He teaches that if we do enough of these we will begin to generate some traffic. Once you have that going, you can move into the affiliate stuff (type your niche "+ affiliate program") into Google and read about affiliate programs.
Just don't jump in so fast to make the money that you don't set yourself up properly.
Good point. I do have access to lesson 1 of bootcamp and I'm going through that now. I'm sure it's not near as in-depth as the rest. But I am learning things and other people are helping out a lot when I have questions about how to do something with my website. I would love to make some money of course lol. I haven't been able to work in awhile and at my age it's hard to have to ask others to support you.
But I am loving putting my website together because it is a topic I am really passionate about and had actually been thinking about starting a blog about for quite some time. I work on my site content every day for several hours. I'm researching things I believe will be very helpful to young single parents. Information I wish I would've had way back when.
I have done 2 blog posts on my site but I have some other topics lined up. As I said, I have been thinking about this for some time lol.
The layout and presentation is what I'm trying not to get worked up about. I know there is a lot more to learn and I will get there.
