After nearly 2 years at Wealthy Affiliate, I feel as it's time to reveal a little more about myself and my story!

My name is James, I'm from the UK and am still a student. However, what I'm sure will surprise some of you is that I joined WA at the age of just 13 and became a premium member as well! Perhaps I was the youngest premium member here - but as my story will show, age is no limit.

I remember I was excited as I had ever been upon arriving at WA, sensing that this might just be the thing I had been looking for; the opportunity to start my online business doing something I loved! After completing the first free course, I was sold. I knew that convincing the parents was going to be awkward. After all, what would you be thinking if your 13 year old son was wanting to spent hundreds of dollars a year on a program that claims it can teach you how to make a living online? Most likely SCAM.

Luckily there was the $19 discount offer available, so I knew that this would tell me for sure whether this was something I wanted. Yet the fact that I have never cancelled premium membership since should give you a pretty good idea of what I thought of it.

My big passion at the time was gaming, so that was the niche I dived into - sometimes I regret the decision, as it is brutally competitive, yet nearly 2 years later I can confidently say that I found a way to make it work. I'm making a profit every month and have a couple of $100+ months, one of which was last month. As the training emphasizes, you can make any niche work for you!

However, with school, I didn't have anywhere near enough the amount of time I wanted to work on it. It got to the stage where I was having to resort to a post every week, then maybe every two weeks. I remember there was even a period where I didn't post anything for a few months. I'm not gonna lie, keeping up belief and motivation is tough!

I remember I ran into big trouble when I decided to buy a premium theme and I nearly lost all of my content - luckily I recovered it - but that was only to find out that the theme didn't work properly with WA hosting, so I had to pay for hosting elsewhere on top of WA. There was a period when I was considering selling the site, but I'm so glad I didn't. Now, I'm earning a passive income from posts I did a long time ago. During my peak, I was enjoying over 1000 organic visits a day.

If you're to take one thing from reading my story, it's that you should NEVER give up on your business. I remember Kyle reiterating the point that the work you put in NOW will pay off in the future - and it sure does.

Don't be put off if you think you're too young, or even old for this - virtually everyone of all ages can experience success with WA.

Also, I'm finally going to make a start to my bootcamp website as I feel as if I'm in a position where I can offer good advice to others with my experience. I have a great feeling about this, as I'll have fresh motivation!

It might seem weird coming to a 15 year old for help, but please feel free to drop by my profile if you ever need a hand or have any questions!

Take care,

James

Great to see that you've added some goals James!

Working towards achieving these goals will happen as you take action on the lesson tasks here at WA. Ask questions when you have them, and take your time. This is not a race, and your time investment will have you up and running before you know it!

You're going to do just great!

Hi James!
Thank you very much for following me. Best of luck to you in your endeavors.

P.S. If you get a chance check out how the training helped me to build my websites. My latest one on how to boost your retirement income just went live a couple of months ago and the one on sleep apnea has been up for almost five months now. You can find the links on my profile page. Any feedback or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Hi James,

I've just commented on your review in Bootcamp, and thought I'd find out a bit more about you here.

As an ex UK teacher, I know I can learn a lot from a 15 year old, as I've learnt loads from all my students in the past.

Happy to make your acquaintance and good luck with Bootcamp!

Thanks James - And it is NOT weird at all coming to you for help. You have more experience that "most" of us in WA.

And BTW thanks for the inclusion of us Old Folks

"Don't be put off if you think you're too young, or even old for this - virtually everyone of all ages can experience success with WA. "

All the best,

Steve

It's not your age that shows how many years you've lived that counts - it's your age here at WA. Everyone starts at the same point when they walk through the doors of WA - lesson 1.

Thanks for following me Steve and I wish you all the best!

All the best,
James

James, I see you are making some good progress through the Affiliate Bootcamp. Just wanted to pop by and see if you need a hand with anything?

I also wanted to mention the success rates of Bootcamp. Absolutely everyone that has taken action on all of the phases of Bootcamp has a business that is generating consistent income online. MANY of these folks are going to be at our super affiliate conference next year.

I want this to be you and I want you to succeed with your promotions. So, please promise me that if you ever need a hand or feel stuck as you move forward, that you will get in touch with me!

Trust me, I know things can be a little overwhelming sometimes and I don't want you feeling like that.

Anyways, just checking in. Get back at me if you need anything James.

Hi Kyle,

Things are going well with the Bootcamp course so far and I'm really confident with how it's going to go. A new website and new training provides me with fresh motivation, so I'm eager to progress!

Even if I do make the 300 sales mark within the next couple of years, I might have to wait a few more before I can come to the conference, though! ;)

I think you will surprise yourself as to what you can accomplish James, if you put forth effort in the year ahead you will be making consistent sales and you will be sitting on a business that is ready to scale as big as you want to make it.

The sky is the limit and if you do need a hand with anything at all as you move forward, do let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

Hi James

I loved reading your profile, and you are such a mature head on young shoulders, that I really wouldn't feel weird coming to you for help at all. I am right at the other end of the age curve - 68 and still working full time, so time is an issue for me too.

I also loved your point that no one is too young or too old, and you are proving that no one is too young - I have to prove that one one is too old! I have been stopping and starting for quite some time now, and now just have to get on with it, as I just can't bring myself to leave!

I love writing, but website development and social media have been my stumbling blocks, mainly because I haven't applied myself, something I have to rectify. After all, the information is all here!. I may be asking for tips from time to time:)

Impressed and inspired,

Katharina

Hi Katharina,

Thank you for the very kind words! I have no doubt that you can make your online business work just as long as you keep at it - that's all I did. In fact, I haven't kept at is anywhere near as much as I would have liked, so imagine where I'd be if I had?

Put the training into practice and success will come :) It can't be long until retirement for you now, so some extra income from your website would be nice, I imagine. Make it happen!

All the best,
James
