Greetings,

I'm Todd and I was an Occupational Therapist that fell in love with learning Spanish, traveling, South America and Colombia. Lived 6 years in Medellin, Colombia, traveling and that's when I found Wealthy Affiliate.

Thanks to the training I've received here at WA, I was able to create and run a successful online business that now runs mostly at a passive level (maybe I work 5-10 hours per month on my site/online biz).

I've been a WA member for 6 years now. It's been an awesome experience of learning how to develop my skills creating websites, writing content, becoming a better marketer, and realizing my dreams of making money online.

The key is building website traffic - You'll learn all about that in the lessons to come.

Don't forget to catch Jay's weekly Webinars - they're loaded with gems of knowledge to increase your online traffic & profits.

I took it one day at a time and each day my online business improved. If you never take a chance; never take action, you'll never get anywhere, but if you take a chance and bet on yourself, follow the training here, you'll be incredibly surprised at what you can create.

It's a beautiful thing. To your happiness and success.

Salud,
Todd

The thing about online success that I have come to learn is that there is room for ALL of us within the online world. There is no marketplace that is bigger and there is nowhere that represents this kind of opportunity, regardless of your niche, passions and interests (and it only continues to grow!!)

Take action on the training here at WA, immerse yourself within the awesome and helpful community here at WA... and ask for help when you need it. You will be well on your way to achieve your goals Todd!

Todd, Loved your website and your insight. In less then a week, but loving the training and community of fellow online marketers. I think I have learned more in such a short time than the last 10 years. I will follow and may PM if I get a question along the way if that's ok.
Best wishes and continued success.

Hi, how are you? I have been sick, so just now getting down to business. Im going to have to change my routine to accomodate WA but I am committed. I am wondering what I should be doing with a blog. I have never done a blog before. Also, I have a few ideas for websites. What criteria should I use when determining my first niche. I always give up because I make things too complicated, focusing on big picture instead of narrowing my focus. Also, I get impatient. So I need to focus on building my business and not worry about profit now, as Kyle had said.
Any advice you have about website, blog or staying motivated is appreciated. Hope you are having a great day.

Hi Laura,

You sound like me. Gosh I'm impatient sometimes and I was horrible going through this part that you're going through.

What I found worked was to forget the money. Even today if I focus too much on traffic or money, I correct myself, and then refocus on doing something productive to my site.

First thing to straighten out: You're building a blog, but a blog can be turned into an eCommerce site, a small niche site, an authoritative blog, a membership site, etc..

What WA is teaching you is how to build a super strong foundation to your business through content.

Content that connects to your niche and is there to help them.

As for your niche issue. I like to look at Google Trends to see if the niche is on the rise, nothing more. Then I do keyword research and try to find phrases that I can write about that have some monthly traffic and low competition.

I also think it's critical to really like your niche or at least be interested in knowing more about it.

If you get your niche down, then it's just focus on the classes and the building aspect.

Relax, breath, slow down and find out what you like. Sometimes I just try to find one product (that cost around 50usd) that I love and you can start an entire niche site based on it.

Let me know if you have any follow up ?'s. It's important to get started off on the right track. You'll have frustrations, we all do.

It's those that don't let their frustrations get the best of them. I was almost one of them too.

Cheers,
Todd

I have a question.tomorrow is the day I need to renew my membership. It's possible I won't have enpugh money on my account to do so. What happens then? Can I renew it in few days? also if I take the monthly memership for one more month, can I go yearly the next one?

You can go yearly at any point. They just pro rate the yearly fee.

I don’t think anything happens if you don’t pay your membership, I think you lose access to premium. But once you pay it again, you resume your membership.

I’m not sure because I’ve never canceled or stopped my membership payment.

It was about the fourth month for me when I decided that it was time for yearly as well. It’s a great decision because it really commits you and then you can focus and sort of forget the money aspect for now.

Which is how it should be. Your first 4 to 6 months should only be focused on helping people and building out your site. That’s my personal opinion though.

Have a great day, Todd

Hi tmalz, I'm Nash, I have accessed WA through your website. This is the third affiliate program I have been in, but the thing is I just know the basic but not make a real website or capture page, something like that. I hope Wealthy Affiliate will assist me in my affiliate future, and I desire to have your assistance as well.
Many thanks for your help in the future,
Nash Dang

You bet Nash,

Almost everything from my website I learned how to do from Wealthy Affiliate.

All you need to do is follow the step-by-step training and you can achieve the same results.

I’m here to help you, the community is here as well and even the owners of Wealthy Affiliate personally help you.

The key to success is to fallow the training and do every single task and don’t skip a single step. When you get stuck, ask for help from the community or myself and we will get you to the next. stage.

You can do this, but you got to put in the work and fall the training.

Have a great day,
Todd

Hello Todd ... I just read a couple of your recent WA blogs and they were so insightful I would like to follow you if I may.

You're way younger than me, but hopefully you can teach an old fart some new tricks. Your success story is pretty incredible. Sounds like the 2019 SAC in Vegas is in the bag for you.
