It looks good to me. It's not that it's pushed to one side, it's that that theme is a 2 column theme. On the left column is your content, and on the right is your sidebar, where you can have a list of recent posts, archives, a search bar, and a number of things.

The edit button is only visible by you because you're signed in. No one else can see that. :)

Does it look bad because I think my theme only allows a side bar on posts not pages.
Even though the open space doesn't show in word press can I place an ad there somehow?

When you're editing your post or page from your editor the sidebar definitely shows. Clicking on "Preview Changes" will show you exactly what the post or page will look like when published.

And yes you can fill that sidebar just like I said with a list of recent posts, archives, a search bar, a calendar, and a whole host of other widgets and even ads and banners. Take a look at what other people have on their sidebars to give you an idea. You can add whatever you like to that area from your customizer under sidebars.

in the training Kyle talks about plenty of sites where you can download free images for your posts here: Making Use of Visuals Try out some of the sites he mentions, use their search to see what images you like, and use them risk free :)

I know and I did try searching but no picture can't be found for example I need some pictures like WA pics also jaaxy keyword tool pics, and WordPress pics but can find any of those pics on the site Kyle provided no picture that is Relevant to my review post

For those just take a screen capture. That second bullet point in that tutorial talks about screenshots you take. Everything here in WA is available for your use. If you don't know how to take a screen capture using your computer just google it :)

You're in the right spot, Brett. This training here goes very much in depth. I went from knowing absolutely nothing about building websites or building traffic to now having a growing and consistent number of referrals come through daily from content I've put out there.

Most people I follow are people I've interacted with in a discussion or maybe a new person who's just starting... I enjoy building my network here and doing my best to help others where I can.

Now I'm not making $1000/month yet, but you don't want to only follow or unfollow someone based on their earnings. I've been in 8 months and have consistent monthly income coming in and growing monthly referrals. I personally love helping others find WA. I know someone who went 9 months without anything, but he knew he was building quality content, and now 2 years later he's proud to have had consistent $4000 months. Traffic and revenue take time to build. It's a matter of putting out quality content consistently. There's a lot to learn here and you want to take full advantage of the training.

Hey Shawna! I wish I knew a great place with a ton of theme options but I really don't. When I found mine I just did a google search looking for things I wanted in a theme. I found one that worked for me and made it my own. There are tons here to choose from, you may find one that is close to what you like and then google from there.

My advice would be to follow this training step by step. Even the small tasks are important. Especially in the beginning, you're working on the foundational aspects of your business, so be patient, and trust in the system because it all pays off. Kyle really shows that he actually wants you to succeed, instead of just trying to empty your wallet like other platforms do. Use that great learning and work ethic you have to get a real grasp of how this affiliate marketing industry works. I'm someone like you who had no prior experience with this, but I had that drive to learn, and it's really got me excited.

For your CJ application i'd just guesstimate it if you don't have analytics set up just yet. It might be a little early and they may want more traffic, but don't worry about it. Pretend it's any other job interview and paint you and your site like an authority lol. It can't hurt right.

Don't go saying you get a million views a month or anything, but selling yourself is ok. All they can do is say no. It's no biggy.

It's impossible to guess someone else's traffic :) You'd have to guess that. But with 8 posts in 5 months there's probably not enough consistent traffic going there.

I'd say though that a good goal to work on would be to increase your post count. A good starter goal is to write 2-3/week, so around 8-10/month. A 5 month old site would have 40-50 posts and that's a good start and really the only way to get consistent traffic.

Actually I have 32 more posts i have to put up. I have them on my FB group page right now. I was trying to get through some of the training before I add more so I don't have to back track too much to make changes. Not a good idea?

I have 40 posts in all... just have to get them keyword ready and add my pics. It all takes time. I wrote these from Jan to April...plus the recent one i did for my #3 course assignment for review/recommendation.

I guess you're gonna say.."What are you waiting for? Get those babies up!!" Huh? UGH!

And...I was told to only put up 2 to 3 per week so Google doesn't get mad at me. :(

Don't be bashful with your posts. The best thing to do is follow exactly what Kyle says, right? 2-3 per week, publish as you complete them, not 6 months later.

And you can do more than 2-3.

Not bashful here...just began back in January on my FB group page temporarily, before I got going on WA in February. Was working on my group posts from January thru April, when I decided it was time for catch up on my site. I really wanted to add all of them in May, but also wanted to be working thru the training, because I HAVE TO have an income by November so I can move out on my own. (divorce looming up before me)

I just wanted to follow the training and not do anything out of step. I have never had the guts to do anything like this before (I didn't grow up with the internet...only learned about it back in 2006 when I went back to school after a divorce) My kiddos (24 and nearly 27 now) have grown up with computers.

My first degree was a BS in Early Childhood Ed back in 1985 before the Web. In 2006, I felt like Rip Van Winkle waking up from a 20 year nap!! Ha ha! Back then...all I could do was a bit of email and surfing the web. Ohhh how far I've come since those days!!

That's one of the points I try to get down with my referrals. People haven't done this kind of writing before, so they're afraid to mess up, but the fact is when Kyle tells you to publish, publish. You're not alone not wanting to do anything out of step, but Kyle wouldn't ask you to publish them if it was wrong.

Just put it all behind you. Better late than never right? So get after it now and make a promise to yourself not to be shy with those posts again :) The longer you delay in publishing content the longer it takes to get eyes on your posts, and eyes on your posts is the only thing that brings revenue :)

It just sounds like a spacing issue. Every theme is different. Did you add a header image and now it's squishing the main title? Maybe remove the text for the title altogether and just upload a header image that has the title in it? There's always workarounds, or like you said you could just find a new theme that works better for you. But don't let it drive you nuts. Sometimes you can google search and find forums that have people asking for help with your specific theme. Maybe that will help.

When you add an image as your header, since it's an image the text inside it can't be manipulated or squished. Then you can remove the original title and tagline from your site so it isn't redundant.

Well that's a nice intro :) Words of wisdom... let's see.. my advice would be to stay driven, stay focused, be patient with your success, and do not give up. I think that's really the secret of it all. So many people give up just before they hit that tipping point.

Hey there Taylor! This should help with the earnings question: How Long Does It Take to Make Money with Wealthy Affiliate? You promote your site basically by promoting each post as you write content. Kyle goes over all that good stuff from social media sharing to everything else you can do to get eyes on each post. Off page SEO is basically being proactive about getting your posts to your audience. So keep with the training and keep writing that content. 2-3 per week. That to me is the absolute key.

I'm not quite sure if I understand your question here. I see you have a menu on your site with your privacy policy in it. You're saying you can't add more pages to the menu?

Also are you saying you'd like to add comments to your pages?

For Kyle's article on building websites in 30 seconds, search "Building your own website in 30 seconds" in the search bar at the top and you should find it.

I'd like to add comments to my post but for some reason the comment section is on my privacy policy which is a page.

On my website I have 2post about Sierra and getting started then I have one page my privacy policy my privacy policy is in the top menu on my website my about Sierra and getting started are not an option in the top menu

Both your posts have comments working just fine. You just have to click to get into the post and scroll down to the bottom.

Those posts wouldn't default to your menu up top by themselves. You'd have to add them there if you wanted them in your menu. They're going to default to your blogroll which is exactly where they're at. You don't usually add every post to your menu up top. Remember you're going to have potentially hundreds of posts in this website.

Jaaxy gives you some free tries, 20 or 30 I can't remember, and when those are used up you'd have to upgrade to continue. If you don't want to upgrade just use the free Keyword Tool. :) it gives the same results.

Are you talking about leaving feedback for people's websites on the SiteFeedback area?

Yes

When you're in the SiteFeedback area and you click on Leave Feedback, it'll pull up a random website for you to take a look at, right? You click on "View this Page" and a new tab is opened where you can check it out. All you have to do is take a look around the website, see what you like and what impressions you get, then go back to the original tab you were on that's still open where it said "View This Page" and you leave your feedback at the bottom.

Don't worry about taking notes, then writing them all out on paper, then transferring that to a comment. That's overkill. Just leave your feedback based on what stood out to you. Most members leave a quick paragraph or two. That's all that's needed.
