They don't display on pages though for some reason, can anyone tell me why this is?
I HAD TO SELECT SHARE FOR PAGES AND SHARE FOR POSTS IN THE SETTINGS SECTION OF MY PLUGIN ....XOOX
Thank you Tania, I think I remedied the problem :-))
I hope you are doing ok and still enjoying the WA experience!
I have a new dilemma, as people are having to scroll to the entire end of my posts to leave a reply is there a READ MORE link plug in gadget I need?
What do you use so you don't have to show the entire content of each post?
Cheers Dave
ON YOUR EDITOR DASHBOARD IF YOU HOVER OVER THE ICONS YOU SHOULD HAVE A READ MORE BUTTON TO USE THERE ALSO YOU COULD LOOK AT THIS Read More Button Adding read more button HOPE IT HELPS YOU XOXO
I had the same issue with this plugin. You can have them on pages also. If you go into the setup screen for the plugin through your dashboard, there is a whole series of choices you can make. Pages are just configured separately from posts. Sorry, I can't get more specific. I've replaced that plugin with SumoMe so I can no longer view the details but I was able to add icons to my pages when I used it.

Locate your homepage. This is probably named "index.html" or "index.php" in your web root directory (likely to be named "public_html"). You may need to check with your host to

This website will give you more detail about what the index.php is for and how it works.

David the only way to get there is with FTP. If you would like some help send me a PM. What program is this
I don't understand why you would only be able to do this via FTP. By going through the "Appearance > Editor" path, you can edit your site's index file directly. (see below)
Sorry, I don't know how you could do this with a child theme. If the edit is performed on the parent theme file, the edit would need to be redone after every theme update.
Thank you so much Bob for taking the time to explain this. I will try your method as I had trouble with the FTP and couldn't connect. Have a good night. Dave

I just changed the theme and now with the new theme, I am wondering if the layout is too "bloggy". I know I haven't monetized it yet and am yet to do my first review, but wonde
I really love your information. Your site is full of vital life saving news.
Thanks for sharing.

Thank you Louisa. I am glad you are finding the information useful. I try to keep up with the latest news and research. How are you doing? Us writers and poets have to look out for each other. I hope all is well. Take care. Dave
very nicely done

Tania mentioned you what to turn your comment on ... do you know hoe to do that ..if not give me a shout ;-)) xoxo
Hi Al and Tania,
I hope all is well with you both.
Yes I am going to give you a shout about my lack of a comment box. I went to posts-quick edit and saw the comment boxes were already checked (ticked) and yet still no comment boxes.
If you have any suggestions I would love to hear them. Thank you so much for looking at my site. Best wishes Dave
Just looked at your website and i liked it! Looked very nice and was informative. I agree with Heidi in that I couldn't find any where to Post a question.
Hi Anne,
I really appreciate you taking the time to look at my site. Yes I have to work on the comment box which I didn't realize was non existent. Best wishes to you Dave
In addition to the link that Marion posted, you can also get site feedback in the following thread: Please Give Me Feedback on My Website Some people love images as their guide to content. When I'm looking for information, I prefer to see a bit longer summary or precis of the post in text form on the 'home' or blogroll front page. That helps me to decide whether I want to click on "Read More".
You might consider standardizing the image sizes on the home blogroll. Again, that's just my personal preference.
Other than that, the rest of the site is easy to navigate and read and I like the content you have posted so far. ~Jude
Thank you so much for the comments Jude. I will certainly make some adjustments and fix the blogroll with more content. Also thanks for the resource, now I know where to post feedback reviews. Have a great week. Dave
Hi Dee (?),
I looked at your site and I like the appearance, the sequence of nice photos to lead into the blogpost. I also like the topics, and as a native German I was attracted to the beer.
I intended to make a comment, but couldn't really find where. If it is there, it is not really obvious and so you might miss out on comments. The other thing I personally didn't like was the moving light grey structured background. Every background other than white makes reading difficult, especially for people with eye problems (almost everybody working on computers, others too.)
If you feel inclined please leave a comment in return on my website http://my-cat.org. Thank you.
Heidi
Hi Dave, just looked at your site and, although it is not my style it looks fine.
I like having the tradition layout with the header at the top, menu below that and the right column for ads etc. Just my point of view, not sure if others will like it or not. The main thing is your visitors like and navigate to find the content they are looking for.
Content is excellent and well presented I think you have done very well. Cheers Kev
Hi Kev, I really appreciate you taking the time to have a look and agree with your comments. I think the traditional approach is somehow better, so I appreciate your point of view and will look into making some alterations. Thanks Dave
You are welcome Dave, I use WP Fanzone theme. Check out my sites and if you like it I will send you the zip file so you can install it. You will not find it by searching in your WordPress back office.
Let me know when you have updated it, I would like to check it out.
Cheers Kev
Hi Kev,
I like your sites, very polished and profesh!!
Yes I have a few alterations to make on mine, not sure if I will change to yet another theme, as this is becoming a major distraction and affecting my OCD, LOL.
Thank you checking out my site. Dave
Hi David, you can get site feedback when you follow this link SiteFeedback - Benefits & Full Walkthrough
Yes, this is the right place to ask for site feedback. We can always ask feedback from kind-hearted people here, but for the sake of orderliness, there's a proper place for that.

Hi Dave,
So much for changing that font size, lol :)))))))
Anyway, I think it's way better looking now, I might actually switch my current theme for this one. What's its name, btw? Is it a premium (paid) theme?
Hi Dmitriy,
Always good to hear from you and thanks for taking the time to have a look. The name of the theme is blogpost lite by Cohhe it is wordpress 4.6.
I like it the only trouble is I can't seem to allow comments. I went to pages>quick edit>tick allow comments. The boxes were already ticked and still no space for comments.
I know I am always asking you about something. Anyway, if you have trouble finding it let me know.
Be well. Dave
Hey Dave,
Likewise :)
Yeah, the comments don't appear - looks like you'll need to edit page.php file. I found the line of code you need to insert there, but I wasn't able to figure out where exactly should I put it - yet. Will let you know when I do - probably by tomorrow.
Hi Dmitriy,
Please don't worry about it cause guess what.......?
I went with yet another theme. This is the last one, I can't spend more times changing themes, lol
So you found that website you liked the look of?
Oh, OK - that's probably for the best :)
Hmm, I'm not sure which site do you mean? Sorry, lots of things on my mind lately :)
Yeah I think it is for the best too. I actually believe it to be a theme issue. The site you liked was called blogpost lite. Were you able to find it?
You should get a good massage or try meditation, that helps clear the head :-))
Yes, it's the way the page.php file is written in that theme - it doesn't contain the line responsible for adding comments.
And yeah, sure, I found it ofc - otherwise how would I've been able to tell you all that? LOL. I just thought you asked about some other site I was looking for and I couldn't remember if I ever did, haha.
Massage would be really nice right now, though...
Anyways, I'm glad you sorted it all out. If there's ever anything you need help with, just send me a PM :)
Thanks Dmitriy,
Stay in touch and try not to juggle too many things at once. Now I have to learn how to monetize the site and do reviews, a steep learning curve no doubt.
Be well. Dave
Hi, Dave. I have seen your website. I would recommend you do away with the background. It's clashing with the text. Also, your comment section is not activated. Judt goes to pages>quick edit>tick allow comments.
You have great content. Cheers
Hi Mburul,
Thank you for taking a look, yes was wondering about the background. Will get the comments up and running too. Cheers Dave
I have visited your website, looks great with clear and nice images. I like your website, very informative:)
Hi Anna,

I guess you should keep it for a while and see how it goes with the existing theme. Cheers!
Thank you Anna, I think I will and just make some adjustments. I appreciate you taking a look.

You should be able to find this feature in your WP Dashboard. No plugins needed.
Thanks for that piece of info Cathy.
Thank you Cathy, that was helpful.
