Hi WA members,

Is there anyone out there who knows CSS coding? I just changed to a new theme and my site header title isn't showing.

It looks completely blank lik

Cathy, is that the Daily Dish Pro theme by Studio Press. If so, the theme documentation should point you in the right direction. If you check YouTube, you might find some training on customizing the header, etc.

If it is a different theme, let me know what theme you are using and I can take a look. ~Jude

Thanks Jude. I am currently in contact with Studiopress team and they are helping me out on the conflicting issue.

Hey Cathy,

After reading over your chat with Gordon, my question to you is have you checked by Googling for a tutorial on your theme. See screen print below...

Hope you find this helpful.

Thanks. The problem I am facing is that the new theme is clashing with some elements from my old theme.

I need someone to guide me through the 'inspect' element settings to fix it - I believe that's where the problem lies.

Unless you are using a page builder you should not have any lingering scripts of any sort from a previous theme.

What theme are you using?

Thanks for responding Gordon. I just changed to Daily Dish Pro from Genesis Sample theme. Here's my website.

https://timerichworryfree.com/

It looks as if you have site title and tag line checked to not show.
If you go to customize and then site identity see if you have hide site title and hide tag line checked

The site title and tag line is checked to show though.

Is the theme a paid theme? I tried to find it in WP but it didn't come up.
You could try unchecking them just as a try and if that doesn't work the only other option I have is to contact the author of the theme and ask them.

It's a paid theme, by Studiopress. Already emailed them, still waiting for a reply.

Ah right, they are a good companyI'm sure they will be back to you soon

Hi folks,

This is my first attempt with optin form. Can you have a look at my website - timerichworryfree.com - and give me some feedback on what you think about it?

Great website, and it's very motivational. I was able to get to the point of starting a business online very quickly. Your "my story" at the top of the right sidebar puts the cherry on the cake, so to speak. After reading the Vitamix piece, you're drawn to "my story", and the rest is history. You get to the WA website very quickly, too, and I love your intro there.

With that said, I like your pop-up (it's not too annoying) and your offer. But I don't know if you need it. Put your offer in the right sidebar (it's enticing enough), and get people's emails when you send it out. That way you get around having to have a pop-up at all. Have a link to "my story" to get people started, and you've completed the cycle.

Hope this helps. Many Blessings for your success.

Ted

Very informative website. Certainly caught my attention. Good work on the blend of artwork and content.
Your optin works fine. :-)

Hi Cathy,

Sure I will give it a go.

Cheers
Angie

This question applies to those who are using 'Simple 301 Redirects' by Scott Nelle.

Been getting a lot of 404 errors for pages that I've redirected months ago. Couldn't

Cathy, I don't use it.

Not sure if the last reply by Jacob at WP.org
will help or not:

I currently have 7 Pages on my website that aren't ranking, largely due to poor keyword selection, I think. Only 1 Page has >100 clicks. The others are pretty much dead.

No need to remove anything unless you have the same keyword and overlapping of text. Otherwise just remove and publish new ones. Google will forget the old ones after the following visit of crawlers to your site.

Congratulations on the 100 clicks. You progressing. I don't know enough to comment on your pages. Go with your gut on your decision. You can always archive them for later use if you see value in them and want to update at a later time. I would place my focus on what works! Cheers, Bunny
