Removing items from wa bookmarks list?
Is there a way to remove bookmarks from my WA favorites list where that post or training has been removed by the author or the access to it has been changed by the author to Y
Hi Jude go to my favorites and when you see the yellow star on your right,
Look for the one you wish to remove and next to that tag you created click the x then close this will remove that particular post or training from your favorites.
Actually Jude there is a quicker way, Go to the original post or training if it exists open that then click the yellow star which is the one on your left. This will remove it completely from your list the other way will still leave it as Uncategorised
Thanks for your suggestion, Andre. I appreciate your quick response.
Removing the tag leaves them on my list as "untagged". But I can go to the post and remove the yellow star there and that removes it, so that is not an issue.
I have a few bookmarks where the author has since removed or unpublished the post or training from WA, or changed the status to make it available only to yearly members (which I'm not). These are "untagged". I cannot see a way to delete those because there is no original post/training for me to go to in order to remove the yellow star.
~Jude
That what I found shortly after I sent you the first response I went to check it again and when I typed that post the yellow star was still there on the left side, so I had to click the yellow star as you mentioned it disappeared.
If the member removes the post or training, or changes the access to Yearly Premiums after I bookmarked it, I don't see how to remove it from my favorites.
I get messages "Not Found" or "Upgrade to Yearly to Get Access" and cannot get to the original content to click the yellow star to remove my bookmark. ~Jude
I had partial success. I used the search bar and un-ticked the yellow star via the search list for training that was changed to Yearly Premium after I had bookmarked them.
But this doesn't work for content that is removed by the creator because the content is no longer in the search results.
That's an idea to ask Carson. Thanks!
~Jude
Most welcome Jude let us know if you get a solution Also wishing you a Merry Christmas and an awesome 2019 :)
Andre
Andre, all my best wishes to you and your family for the holidays and for a glorious 2019. :-) ~Jude
Thanks Jude just came home not to bed. Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year :)

Just testing for someone to check if the Ask A Question feature is working...LOL
Are you asking about this in relation to your website, or here in the WA community?
A dashboard message - when someone sends you a private message the white envelope icon in the top bar will show a red dot and the number of messages you have in your inbox.
A red dot on your avatar image indicates that people have left a comment on your profile page.
In the chat menu tab, a red dot with a number means someone has replied to you in the chatroom.
To read a private message, click on the white envelope icon in the top bar and that will take you to your inbox where you can read the private message. ~Jude
short answer: yes it is working. xD
Long answer: I often click on the blue questions on the right side after answering the previous to find the next question. Often I don't even bother read the question in the title, but rather read the post itself.
So I read your one-liner and wondered what the question was. Then I saw the question above in the title.
So I started to wonder how I would answer to this in the most funniest way. But I didn't come to a funny answer unfortunately.
So now you can tell your friend or referral that the question system is working perfectly.
Do however know that there is a chance that a free member isn't able to do these things, before they become premium. Free members also have only access to two classrooms, in which these questions reside.

Hi Jude I just posted a Question regarding the like button which seems to stall for one of my posts. So hopefully the Question box is working now. Not sure if there are glitches or something else.
Hey Jude,
So what was your threshold for determining if the Q feature works?
Ha - no, just jokes. Sorry, couldn't resist. :)
I've used it 3 times since I joined WA...so my experience with it is limited...lol.
Mostly to rule out a system glitch. My threshold has been met with 5 people, including myself, telling me it is working fine.
Thanks for the giggle, Ivy. Hope you are having a nice long weekend! ~Jude
Just ruling out a system glitch. I don't use the Ask a Question feature very much...lol. Thanks for responding, Marion.
I use the search box at the top of the page, it's much better than going to the pen icon to ask a question.
It works! It went to the Unanswered tabs in the Activity Dashboard :-) You know so well that it works. Lol!
Yes, thanks. Just helping a member out who tells me it is not working for him. Thanks for the quick reply!

HubPages has recently acquired Squidoo. You can read more about it:
Hi Jude, I have been with Squidoo for years and made over 100 lenses, and am looking into the pros and cons going forward. See a recent post at http://makemoneyonacomputer.com/squidoo-and-hubpages-time-to-move-on
I've been in touch with HubPages admin with a few questions about transferring, so will post info on receipt.
Thanks Rob, I appreciate your feedback. I look forward to following your progress with it. Hope it proves to be a blessing in disguise!
Hi Jude,
I am a Giant Squid with over 40 lenses and I got started because Jennifer Ledbetter (Potpie Girl here) was using it. We used it to test ideas and as an article marketing tool. The idea being to send traffic to your main site. However over the years Google decided that they wanted to check out the landing pages too. Seth Godin has always had a tie to Google and many here thought Google owned Squidoo, they did not, but do now as they are the parent of Hubpages.
I earn a trickle of income from my Squidoo lenses and their Page Rank (7) adds to yours (It used to be 8), Squidoo in my opinion were targetted by Google as they always had better content and outranked Hubpages. Over time Google enforced many changes and Squidoo has been constantly in catch up and decline. I think Seth had had enough and sold out rather than lose it all. Hubpages will now have all the advantages (and best content). I would suggest you copy your lens and wait and see. I agree with others that the risk is that something like this will happen and give you major headaches with having to revise everything at once over a short period of time. This will not happen if you own the site(s). Actually it could if your server provider collapsed or sold out, but this is less likely.
I will be transferring to Hubpages - too many lenses to lose! so anyone who needs help is welcome to contact me here.
Good luck everyone who has been affected.
Steve
Steve, thanks so much for the info. Thank goodness you won't lose all your hard work. Yes, I will wait to see what happens.
Once you get settled in at HubPages, let us know what you think of it.
You have been very helpful. Much appreciated. ~ Jude
Hey Jude, as for me, I don't use either or. I would just focus my time and writing to my own website. That way I don't have to worry if my articles will "transfer" to a new parent company or not.
So in other words, I like to keep control of my online business if that makes sense.
Yes, it makes sense, Eddie. I have a Squidoo lense I made a few years ago that gets a trickle of traffic. I would need to update and optimize it on HubPages, which I have never used and why I ask the question.
I agree with you. I have no plans to become a prolific author on HubPages. But it could become useful (as Squidoo once was) for generating traffic to my website. Apparently they will transfer my lense automatically, so I don't need to do anything until that happens.
I appreciate your advice, Eddie. Many thanks. ~Jude
I never looked at hubpages. used Squidoo briefly a few years back.
Hey though---a heads up. Not all squidoo content is going to get transferred automatically. A lot will not, and then the hosting for those lenses on Squidoo is going to stop, and those lenses will disappear.
Here's a relevant paragraph from Seth Godin's announcement.
It’s important to note that we’ll only be moving our highest rated and most useful content to HubPages. Some pages won’t be making the move, and will no longer be hosted online, so it’s prudent to go to your dashboard and download an archive of what you’ve built so you can keep it forever.
That paragraph is straight from the man.
I did one post on Squidoo just last week as an experiment. Years ago I posted on HubPages, but never got the hang of it. And never got anything out of it. This may not be the information you're seeking, but I thought I'd share my limited knowledge.
I have a Squidoo lense I made a few years back. There is an option there to transfer my content to Hubpages right now, or let them do it automatically as part of the transfer process.
I will let them do the transfer and notify me. I'm undecided whether to continue with HubPages, which seems more search engine friendly than Squidoo became after Google released Panda.
Thanks for your feedback, Sharon. I appreciate it. ~Jude
