Had several people making negative comments outside of wa. Making websites is new to me

If you requested critique and got productive critique back then take it on board - no one is perfect and there is never a perfect site. Everything is open to improvement.

That's right, life is too short:) Just embrace it!

You thank them very much for their input and then you think how you can improve your site

You need to grow a thick hide for this business, Louise. I just mentioned that I'm a Christian in my profile and try to show it rather than preach it. I keep it to myself here.

However, everybody, that does not believe as I, makes it a point to let me know. lol

As a matter of fact, I would fight for their right NOT to believe as I do if that is their choice.

People are just different, Louise. I think you are awesome!!!

BTW... that's the Gospel according to Teddy Bear!!

PS. Do you know what Winny the Pool and John the Baptist had in common?

A. Same middle name.

Thanks Teddy Bear that is so sweet of you. Yes I need to toughen up. Some things she said were helpful others not so. Nice Gospel. Honey to you

Take the good that you can with it and discard anything that's unhelpful. Constructive criticism is so useful - however, some people just want to say negative stuff for the sake of doing it and they aren't always right either. We all make mistakes with our sites, newbie or not. :)

Hey Louise, this training will help you :

Thanks Jewel I will look at that. Regards

Louise I don't think that all negative comments are bad. I would look at the area the reviewer feels is lacking and decide if there is merit to the criticism and repair if needed. If you think the criticism is unfounded then forget about it.

Ok she was a bit harsh and I felt a bit vulnerable. I gotta toughen up. Thanks Tim

Just say thank you. Take their criticism as something you could possibly work on on your site. But if you're 100% happy wih it, leave it as is ;-)

I trained as a nurse and have qualifications but I'm not registered. She thought why would nurses want to look at the offer when I'm not registered. I just felt doubtful about what I'm creating.

Dont be lou, im a clinical nurse, by profession.. but never registered when i came here to oz , but that doesnt mean i dont know my stuff... i would take it with a pinch of salt.

Thanks Bea that is helpful. Are you doing bootcamp?

going through it now,

Hi Lou, you sure its not spam comments, why would anyone want to leave neg comments :( .. Bea

Making negative comments where hun? On your website?

No I asked a few people what they thought and they were a bit negative. I suppose I'm wondering if it matters that I'm a newbie at making a site and have made several mistakes

Hi there!
If people are giving out constructive criticism on your site that is GREAT! I gladly take it, it makes me see what I need to improve on. I have been at WA for 2 weeks now and I am satisfied by my website so far. I've received a lot of feedback, even the "negative" one. But I value the "negative" one more.
So I wouldn't look at this as something bad, just embrace it, and keep working on your website!
Good luck!

Dejan

I've just clicked on your profile and there is no website listed? How did they see what you were building lol? (Confused easily here!) Feel free to PM me with a link if you would like me to take a look :)

in your we site regards

750 is OK with a couple of pics just to start with

1000-1500

Chrissie has you covered Louise. I agree quality is always the main objective Here is some help from Lynne Huy that you might find useful. It is my go-to guide when creating content

Thanks Tim for your help much appreciated

Great check list thanks Tim, hope you and yours are all well xoxo

Louise ......How are you doing now hun? xoox

Can you explain a little more fully please? Do you mean for a post? If so, there is so much training about that - its hard to miss it!! :)

No when you make pages on your website not the post area.

There really isn't that much difference between pages and posts, and I think the same rules apply. But there is no absolute rule about the length of pages and posts - mine vary between about 500-1500. But bear in mind that the quality is more important than the quantity whatever the length. Hope that helps :)

Thanks Chrissie all the best

Not sure havnt done it before. Regards

Hi Louise, I think I get your question if you are talking about an affiliate link in your WA posts you don't have to.

Go incognito, copy the title of your question and paste it into your browser see what pops up should answer your question.

If you are talking about inserting Affiliate links this may help Cheers.

Hi E thanks for that. I will do what you suggest regards

our post here within the community have affiliate links embedded

Thanks for your help regards

You sorted honey ?

StephHill mentions QR codes here that zero in on this.

Are you talking about writing a post in WA and putting a post link within WA?

Hi Michael yes I read somewhere that a link had to be put into wa blog. Im not sure how to do this.

All you do is copy the browser link and post it into your post...the affiliate link is for when you post outside of WA so that you get that referral....although you can copy either links...they will both work..

Lol is the browser in the long horizontal box. Imagine Im in kindy 101 computing Ultim

Yes it's the one at the top where you would type in what you are looking for and underneath is the WA search bar...on the black line.

Thanks Michael you have been very patient. Regards

My pleasure Louise...ask any time!

I was thinking of you the other day when I followed Steve Cox. He was an Fbi agent and still working in security. He would be a good person to chat to lol

We are good friends here on WA Louise..

Lol I couldn't resist telling you

from outside wa.

A standard conversion rate in the e-mail marketing world is about 2% For WA that would be a good rate.

I would say maybe 1% if you are lucky but it really depends on the strength of the article

If you are doing 3-4% you are lucky!! Remember, it's a numbers game!!

That's what I read as well...

Kyle states in his training that the median conversion rate is approximately 12%

I'm talking about when people read the blogs from inside wa.

My apologies.

I'm not sure if there is a "measuring stick" that covers that.

You might want to PM either Kyle or Carson on that one.
