Hi Mel,

Great, I've finally learned how to use Jaaxy and found 10 very good keyword phrases to boost SEO in my website!
With one of this phrases, I've opened a page on my site and put the SAME keyword phrase in the title, description, meta keywords, 1st paragraph and a few more times over the text.
OK. Another one I have used in a post.

My crucial question is: what I suppose to do with the other 8 keyword phrases?
I cannot open other 8 pages/posts about the same subject in the same website!

I really will appreciate any help.
Thank You in advance.

Each keyword is to be used in a different post or page. Yes, you can write (and should) on the same subject multiple times, that's what building content in your niche is all about.

Hi Mel, congratulation on your accomplishment. Sounds like you've had many accomplishments in life. Will be turning 65 soon and am just new to WA....2nd day. Glad to have met you. Have been thinking about writing young children's books but never have done anything like that before. Perhaps I could PM you some time when I get closer to that niche.

Hi nice to meet you. I just registered here a few days ago and i chose my niche but i have a question for it if you can help me. So my niche is Learn how to Dance. In my web site i am planning to include information about learning how to dance different types of dances, and also related information like dance clothes, dance shoes, dance videos etc. Do you think my niche is good and not too broad and i can go for it and write for all these different stuffs related to dancing or i should narrow the niche down to a specific dance for example or to a specific aspect (like dancing clothes or shoes or something else related to dancing) ? I am still confused about that and I will be glad to hear what you think about it!
Reply
onmyownterms Premium
I would narrow the niche to one style of dance to start, and then expand once you've got the hang of things (like months/years down the road).
Reply
simostoykov Premium
Ok. Thank you. So narrow the niche to one dance style (and writing all things about it like how to dance it, clothes, shoes for that style and etc.) and after some time expand it by creating more websites for other styles i guess, because the first site will be just for one style and i would not add another styles to the site ? Did i get that right ?

I am obviously doing some thing incorrectly with uploading a banner to a WA page. I upload the banner from the media site or library and place the banner code in the custom URL and then upload. The link remains movable but the page from the banner code never becomes click-able

Unfortunately, without being actually inside your site, it's very difficult to troubleshoot. When you do so, do you have the image highlighted? The image has to highlighted, and then, using the Link Tool, insert the link.

Hi Mel pleased to meet you and I hope you have an easier time of it. Life is cruel at times or there are some bad people out there. You have to believe that the majority of the population is good or where would we all be? Mostly I believe we should live and let live. I don't have the right to judge, but weather we like it or not we are being judged, everyone does it as its a part of nature. I believe that the world would be pretty boring if we were all the same. You go and rock your stuff and don't let life get you down.

I like your username symbol, Mel. I'm so new to all of this that I'm still studying and a bit trepidatious as I approach the edge of the cliff, if you will. I've been a chef all my life and think it would be a shame if I didn't use my experiences as a way to improve my life and the lives of other culinarians. Considering several niches: unique recipes, chefs' lifestyle (and improvement), girlie foods, the list goes on. Any advise on over-coming the fear factor would help.

I joined just a couple of weeks ago, I am 59, old school and I still have a hard understanding the building of a website. I know once a platform is created as a foundation of a building you are able to keep on building, but I have not grasped the foundation part. Where do I get the platform, the basic building blocks ? From Rubix ? I even find that one a bit complex . Any suggestions to help out a 59 year old newbie to get things moving forward ? Thanks

onmyownterms Premium
The basic framework is WordPress. Our host is SiteRubix, which is where the computers reside that host our websites, which are built in WordPress. So in this case, your host, Wealthy Affiliate (SiteRubix) is the foundation where it all resides. You don't have to worry about that, all you are concerned with is customizing the WordPress site that you are building. Just take the training in order, don't skip around (that causes confusion) and you'll be fine.

Thanks for the Post. Sadly I am considering closing my account. Simply because I have found over the past year I haven't been able to invest the time into my internet marketing business as I know is necessary. This is due to the fact that I have a full-time job two busy boys a big house and acreage (& my wife works nights). I'm in an incredibly demanding and busy stage of life, we struggle to even keep up with the house and property not to mention extracurricular activities for our children. they tend to have meltdowns, fights or what have you whenever I sit down in front of the computer :-) I've been in the internet marketing business for a very long time. I've made money and had success in numerous directions and of course I've had my share of failure. I know how to do this right and I know how to do it wrong ( being a WA member is recommended, solid training and community). to be successful in this industry requires a true investment of time and effort to do it right. Don't allow yourself to get distracted by the latest and greatest product launch, stay focused. There is no such thing as turnkey. What I really respect about Kyle and Carson is that they've always being upfront and honest about this reality which is somewhat rare in the internet marketing industry. They've built what I believe is the best internet marketing community and resource base currently available. my hope is that in a couple years time as my boys get a little older I will be able to come back and put 100% into doing this right. I still have a bit of time to think about this further. This decision is purely Financial otherwise I would stay a member for life to stay connected with this great community and keep the vision alive. For now, I have a pile of laundry waiting for me. :-) Cheers and best wishes in your internet endeavors.

Thanks for your frank and open comment. If you do decide to leave, even if just for a short time, you know where to come back when the time is right. I wish you much luck on your future endeavors. Remember, the annual commitment is only $359 or $30/mo. Cut out a few lattes or quit smoking, or go out to eat less. Even if you can't devote all the time you need, you wouldn't have to go through the hassle of moving your sites (which really won't save you any money) or shutting things down and starting them back up again.

I don't smoke or waste money on coffee shops and we rarely go out (although the wife and I miss that). But I get your point. For me its an annual cost, that happens to be right at xmas when lots of money is already going out. Plus the list goes on and on, mini van needs winter tires. Furnace needs servicing. Oldest in college, needs help with his car. etc. If a person has the time and can manage the start up, WA is the 1st place I would direct people.

I didn't mean to sound as if I was questioning your decision-making, just trying to spur a little 'out of the box' thinking. I wish you well in all your endeavors, and if you do leave, that you find you way back if the timing is better for you.

Good Day

I am new and only joined the "1 week free account with training sessions" today. I'll be honest in saying that it is posts like these that scare me a little bit and raises the question:

● If you cannot even generate enough money to cover your monthly subscription plus extra with ease, is this program, training and material on offer really that effective?

I don't just want to acquire knowledge and and not benefit financially from it neither do I just want to join a group of nice people just giving advice and having a nice chat. Then I might as well just join a group on Facebook free of charge and invest time there.

So with all due respect as a newbie reading this, is this site really what will take me to the start I want and take me to the next level???
Reply
onmyownterms Premium
MPretorius: Not everyone has the skill, dedication, etc., to make this work. Many people come here expecting a 'get rich quick' scheme that they have been promised by so many other scammers out there on the Internet. This is the real deal. If you take the training, and more importantly, TAKE ACTION, you will be successful.

We have no way of knowing, when a user leaves us, what their level of dedication was to their sites. If they were good at writing, if they chose the right niche, etc., etc. The variables for success are endless

Obviously, there are 1000s of people here who are successful as they have been here for years. I was successful BEFORE I came here. I have stayed to help others reach their goals. In the time that I have been here, I have noticed that the people who make a commitment to Annual Premium straight away are the ones that are most likely to succeed because they dive in head first and make a commitment here for hosting that will last as long as the purchase of their domain name.

Which makes more sense? $49/mo or $359/yr? It's business decisions like this that make all the difference in the world. My .02 is that if you can't afford the $359/yr initially, then the 'money pressure' is too intense to succeed, and will lead you to quit before you've really given it a chance to work.

It saddens me to see so many people expecting a 'paycheck' in the same time they would get one from McDonald's or Walmart. If you need money within the next two weeks, you should go get a job. Realistic expectations are a 4-6 mo. investment before seeing reliable income. If you money needs are more immediate than that, go get a job.

Hey Yoda,

I was thinking about writing a blog post about this and I still might, but I thought I'd come get your thoughts on this first. I got two unsolicited PMs today, which was a first. The first one was clearly just promoting their site. My response was Mark as Spam, Block User, and Delete PM. End of story.

The second one was a little different. Also unsolicited. Also talking about their site. Also looked like a copy and paste form letter. The difference was they were talking about how we could help promote each others site by commenting and searching for the site.

This one kind of threw me off. I'd still call it spam, and I'm against anyone ever doing this. On the other hand, I support the idea of the community helping each other out in making there sites look good by being active.

Not really sure what to do here. I haven't done anything with the PM yet. What are your thoughts?
Reply
onmyownterms Premium
Well, if it's promotional, it is still spam, but now that the rule has been reworded, I'd probably just respond to the user and point out the rule and say that while I agree with them in theory, it is still breaking the rule and please don't send me anything like this in the future.
Reply
Numerous Premium
Yeah I did notice that it's been reworded. I may be spending too much time on the No Spam page. :)

Thanks for the advice. Interacting on the site more, I've started to see what you're talking about and I can definitely see how it's irksome. It's like you don't want to be the one policing this stuff, but at the same time, you have to follow the rules, so it's annoying when other people don't.

PLEASE HELP!
Same problem - choose a domain and register domain, when click on domain button, following is coming up - right in middle of page:
register your first domain', on the far right corner a green tab with massage 'my chart' - click on my chart - menu open with my domain name and the price for the domain - again on the far right side a green tab what said - checkout - click on checkout - new page open - my chart and the price of the domain, and the continue button to do step number 2 - click on continue - new page open - domain pricing, there you could choose on a down roll menu for 1 year or more, right under that the next continue button for stage 3 'your contact details - there they ask for name, street address, country on a scroll, state / province, city, postal code, phone numb and email, this is before the last button which will take you to the page where you can choose your payment method.
This is on this page number 3 'your contact details' where I'm stuck, because this page does not except my postal code. What is really interesting as that they have my country code correct up for my phone number, but my postal code they said is invalid.

PLEASE go to that page and put my postal code in and see what is happening - PLEASE. My postal code is 9000 - PLEASE ! I'm stuck!

Ambassador means you are one of the 25 most active users on the site. Nothing more than that.

I am 55, but I started in MLM as a teenager, so I've been around this biz for many many years. I think you made an excellent choice, this is a great way to supplement your income that doesn't require any more than your brains, your determination and some typing skills. WA will teach you the rest.

Good luck on your journey here.

Hello Mel;

Thanks for the follow.
I am 69 and a retired residential builder in South Carolina. My wife (69) and I have made a decent amount of money in the last couple of years on the internet to supplement our retirement incomes. We have found that one can really make money on the internet, much more than when we operated our construction business. These last years have been wonderful and have allowed us to start to enjoy the "golden years" which we would never have done. We (and myself in particular) are still learning to communicate in networks with others. I am extremely interested in the journey ahead in WA.

Transferring sites from Wordpress.com can be tricky as I have found you don't really own the domain, they do. Search the Wordpress site for how to do this, as there are very specific procedures to follow, and I've never done it myself.

Your website doesn't get moved unless you move the files yourself or put in a ticket with SiteSupport. I would put in a ticket and ask them about the missing domain and see what they advise. Probably what your host means is that the DNS was updated, which is not enough to 'move' a site.

Thanks Mel, I will make inquiries with Site Support.
All of this is a first for me.

Hello Mel,
Congratulations on your achievement status in such a short space of time. No doubt you have much to offer this community with your varied background. Each of your achievement is complete in itself and very weighty.

I never thought boredom had any value to offer, I'll reconsider that now!

Thanks, Mel - I'm hoping I can find what i'm looking for here. I'm a philanthropist myself.. I guess that's one of my reasons why i'm interested to make it big online. I've tried to buy courses for a couple years already and tried most of them but can't seem to hit the mark just yet, lol. Thanks for the welcome - i'll be watching courses.

Hi Mel,

Thank you for following me; I'll definitely follow you.
Corporate America; I was there once, 15 years ago.

Mel, I'm glad you like to help people; I would love be able to send someone with experience a private message every time I get stuck creating my website.

It always seems to be the little technical things that take time to solve, and it gets frustrating, especially when you have to wait days for answers on something you want to solve immediately so you can continue creating your website.

I think these little things are the reasons a lot of people get frustrated and quit; something I don't want to do.

Have a great day

Sending unsolicited PMs is prohibited, but I spend several hours in LiveChat every day answering questions.

Sorry, I had no idea personal messages were prohibited; explain unsolicited to me, I'm green at this.

The last thing I want to do is something that is against Wealthy Affiliate laws and get someone in trouble.

It means you can't just PM me out of the blue, you have to ask permission first. If this rule did not exist, the Ambassadors would be overwhelmed with people asking for personal attention. I make myself available in chat many hours a day to assist folks, and try to keep up with my messages as well. Adding several dozen messages would just be overwhelming. I'm pretty sure that's why that rule exists.

Ok, I didn't realize, I misunderstood Kyle when I first joined Wealthy affiliate; I was under the impression I could send a private message to anyone within Wealthy Affiliate if I needed help; I have sent Kyle messages for help in the past without permission.

Thanks for clearing it up for me; from now on I will not send out any private messages, even to Kyle, without the members permission.

Kyle/Carson, as site owners, are the exception to that rule. They're not 'users', they're owners. You can still message them at any time.

The only time I ever bother Kyle is after waiting 2-3 days for an answer from the community and not receiving one. I find it very frustrating when I'm trying to build a website and can't find answers to my questions.

The main reason I joined Wealthy Affiliate was because I was sold on community involvement.

Thanks for your help; you cleared some things up for me.

The quickest community involvement will always be LiveChat.

Dear Mel,

I know commenting on your profile is a lesson in attachment but I am going to do it even though I know it will only last 7 days :) I just now noticed that you became an ambassador 3 days ago! I wanted to say congratulations. You are an incredible person and an excellent support within the Wealthy Affiliate Community. Hats off to you!

From my heart to yours,

Joy

Thanks Joy. I gave up on the 7 day thing - used to be I could fit 7 days of comments without scrolling. Not so much anymore. LOL I am always struck by the irony of those who do not seek attention, how much flows to them.

Hi

I was doing some research and came across this Niche` I just wanted your input on it. Binary Options as a Niche, meaning trafficking volumes are a lot as in brokers have affiliate programs, with bringing new customers to their firms. I have some knowledge to Binary Options and I know quite a few broker sites and have access to reviews from youtubers etc.

I'm just clearing this idea with you as to know that it's a good one meaning that their won't be any problems to this. I have also researched the traffic that these sites project and the numbers are a lot. Casino sites have showed similar traits to high traffic, but I'm more leaning to Binary Options as I have knowledge to this field.

1) Gambling sites are not allowed here. 2) There are several other people doing binary options here at WA, so it is a legitimate niche, I just have no knowledge on it specifically. If you've got the contacts, then it's a good niche to pursue.
