Hi all,

I'm a Builder from Buckinghamshire, England and have a trade background of carpentry and joinery going back 30 years.

I've had an urge to get into online business for the past year and finally, have climbed down off of the fence to have a go. I've been researching online business information from the internet during this time and have drawn the conclusion that the only way to learn is to get involved.

I have a wonderful partner these past 22 years, that always encourages me to attempt new things and a wonderful 9 year old daughter that just inspires me to do better.

I'm looking forward to increasing my knowledge of the online world.

Hi Kathy, thank you for following back. I wish you much success here at WA and don't let the little annoyances that this business throws up on a regular basis get you down.

Keep pushing forward and only look back to let yourself know how far you have come in a relatively short time.

All the very best to you.

Hey, Tommy.

A really nice guy named Don Nolan wrote a blog here at WA and I commented on it and mentioned your name. I hope that was okay, if it is not, just let me know and I will remove your name from it.

Thank you muchly, my friend.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Cheers Kyle, I've decided to build a business around the niche of providing couples with planning and building advice within the West London region of the UK.

I have so many folks asking me daily about what they need to do about getting planning permission and building advice on their homes and how to go about acquiring this information. That i thought there's a business in the making.

All the best

Hi Tommy. I just finished reading through your profile and see we have a common interest, you build structures and I used to value them for the banks. I am still relatively new here to Wealthy Affiliate and I am hoping we can follow each other through our networks. Looking forward to following your success here at WA! - Rick

Thanks for following back Gary, much appreciated.

I've had a couple of members try to leave a comment on my site over the past week without success. Which is something that I will be addressing tomorrow, now that I'm back from a weeks holiday with the family.

Thanks for the offer of help, I can always use some of that:))

I wish you all the best.

Tommy,
I don't think there is a member here that can not benefit from some assistance of some sort, certainly including myself.

This is the kind of endeavor where one never stops learning.

I myself have just reawakened from a rather long absence, I am going to school full time and it has been a challenge keeping up with everything.

Please do let me know when you get a handle on the comments I would love to swap with you, all my best Tommy,

Hey Tommy... Thanks for connecting and the follow... I truly appreciate the invitation to be a part of your "journey online"..

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner, but between travelling on business and a vacation "I forced" myself to take, I've been pretty invisible over the last couple of weeks.

How goes the "journey" online and how has your progress been. I noticed you will have been a member here for a year on Monday... Congrats on hanging in there... So many of the people I work with online just can't seem to sustain their interest for that long.

To me, one of the greatest single advantages of WA is the community itself. The community here at WA is absolutely 2nd to none... I absolutely love the fact that there are a wide range of members here, who are truly committed to helping everyone succeed...

In fact, If you ever have any questions or if there is anything I can do to help you along with your online marketing, please don't hesitate to ask... If you're at all interested in learning more about how I approach this business, please read the following post when you get a moment... Between that post and my profile, you should get a pretty clear idea on my thoughts on "internet marketing" as an industry and my approach... You can always PM me here of course if you have questions or you can message me through Facebook... I always seem to be logged into my Facebook account for various reasons, so that's likely the quickest way to reach me... My contact information is on my profile... Thanks again... Bryan

Hi Bryan, now it's my turn to apologise. I've also been away for the past week and am only just getting back into the swing of things, so sorry for the delay in responding to you.

Your quite right about me being here a year now and I have to admit my progress has been slow but steady. When I first dove into WA my knowledge was less than zero, so I have been trying to get up to speed with many aspects including how to use a computer for more than just emails!

I really appreciate your offer of assistance and will most definitely check out your post and profile over the weekend, once I've cleared out the inbox of WA messages.

Thank you very much for following back and I look forward to catching up from time-to-time:)

All the best

Hi Tommy,

Lovely to meet you, and thank you for adding me to your network. I have a 9 year old daughter too, and a 17 year old one, so completely get that inspiration you're talking about.

I want my girls to believe they can do anything, and that's what I intend to show them with this new adventure.

Best wishes,

Jules

Thanks for the follow back Jules. It's amazing how children can make you feel and how they can drive you do things that you never thought possible.

I've always felt since my daughter was born that I should try and provide her with the belief that she can do anything. being able to stand on her own two feet, without relying on others to help her live her life:))

All the very best to you here at WA

Hi Tommy,

Nice to meet you. Great profile. I like your Web page. It is the same theme as mine only I am using a static front page at the moment. I think I'm going to try to add more info on my front page, and if it isn't suiting me after that then I might go to posts like yourself. The only thing I don't link about that theme is the menu on top isn't very noticeable from a smart phone or tablet. Did you find that too?

Anyway, thanks for following me, I hope your having good success and that you continue to have more and more.

God bless,

Jon

Hey Tommy, Rob here.
I noticed that you have started following me. I appreciate it very much. I took a look at your web site and I really like it. I especially appreciate what you said, "Is it worse to remain in a miserable job but feel safe! Or step into the unknown and challenge yourself, there may be big surprises in store for you and your family. But only if you challenge yourself and your fears! Do away with the fear and embrace the change!" Exellent thought. What I appreciate about it the most is that this is what you have done. You are not just saying it, but you are living it, you are setting the example. Nice job!

Good afternoon to you Tommy, my name is Ken and I welcome you to WA and thank you for the follow. In the near future, most business will be performed online so getting started now only increases your odds of becoming the site that people will travel to. Choosing WA to learn from was a wise decision on your part.

I look forward to networking with you and wish you much success in your journey.

Hi Tommy and thanks for following me. I am following you too.
I have a lot of nice memories of Buckinghamshire. I worked in Beaconsfield for 3 years and commuted from Windsor. I am back in Scotland now but loved the area and miss it.
Welcome to the WA team. I wish you every success and just know that you will fit in well here. Take care.

Good evening, Tommy and thanks for adding me to your network, I will add you to mine as well. I hope it's going well with the website and that you have finished course 2 and more since your second profile blog. Although, it's not about how fast you finish the training it's the understanding of it, which I still struggle with a bit.

It can also be somewhat overwhelming trying to fit in like in all its different capacities. Just keep plugging away and it will produce rewards eventually.

Look forward to connecting on occasion and reading about your conquests in the internet world of marketing.

I'll follow you too Tommy. WA is the best place to learn and develop your online skills. This is not an overnight thing. It takes time, perseverance, patience, flexibility and did I mention time? The best part is it's affordable. No more things to buy after you go premium. Good luck Tommy, you CAN do it.

I agree that learning is more fun when you get involved in the process. That is one of the things I like most about the training. I feel like I have gained something at the end of each lesson and can see actual progress. Besides, I love checking off stuff. Best of luck. Thanks for the follow.

There is a famous quote from Mark Twain:

"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."

And that just means - do your hardest task first or at least as soon as you can in the morning. If you do this then the rest of your day is easy from there!

ANYWAY…

Hello, TommyK, thanks for the follow and welcome to WA. You are definitely in the right place!

People have plenty to share and there is plenty to learn also so take your time and enjoy the experience.

I may not be in the top 200 list anymore (because I don’t socialize here much) but I do have many interesting posts on my site and some you might really like, many people do. I have over 2,000 positive comments, so take a look and get some ideas as to what you can do with your site.

Let me know if I can help you in any way

Cheers Peter :)
