As we are building out our websites, it is always nice to get some feedback and insights from "others" as to how we are doing. It can lead to us getting a better understanding of the process and it will lead to a much higher quality website.

If you are needing a website review, post your website URL here for feedback.

Example:

Hey guys, I am just building a website in the weight loss niche and am wondering if you can give me some feedback on how I am coming along with my website. Here is my domain:

http://howtolosebellyfattoday.com/

Thanks!

But remember, this is a community here at Wealthy Affiliate and don't just post your link and leave. Offer others the same sort of help you are about to get. Whenever you post your website here, make sure that you offer your opinions and insights on at least two other websites.

Hi Craig.

Just a quick comment. I'll read the full article later but I just noticed the very first sentence about "my image".

You might want to clarify what you mean with image. I know it's a page about home security systems but why not make that clear?

"I believe "my image" is a hard working middle aged dude, honest and trustworthy, but that's not what this is about, right? 😂

Edwin,

I checked out your post and your website.

I thought the post was very creative by engaging the reader immediately with a short exercise in imagining being in a happy, stress free state.

The post was very easy to read, clear and concise. I also liked that it didn't come across like high pressure sales but was relatable to anyone that would read it. It wasn't littered with links from top to bottom.

It also gave multiple, practical examples of situations where a person may need legal advice and so would appeal to a wide audience.

Your website is very clean and uncluttered which makes the first impression appealing.

Nice job!

Hello Edwin,
I like the content and the topic of the article as well as the overall topic of your website you have chosen. In my opinion the text looks a bit "uneven" or "uneasy" (sorry, English is not my first language, but I hope you can understand what I mean). It seems to me that you used some different fonts and font colours. Compared to the other articles you already posted it looks "different" what makes it from my point of view not as good readable as your other articles.

I hope that helped!

Hi Markus,
Great review. I was struggling doing text edits in WordPress. I was experimenting using different colors and fonts in this post and was not happy with the result. I decided to wait for the reviews before I make changes. All the responses were great that gives me new ideas. I will submit it again after my changes to get a review again. Do you mind if I sent you a PM when I do that? I would benefit greatly if the same members looked at it again.
Thanks much!

Hi - no offence, but your articles are very repetitive. I appreciate you have an affiliate program with Uber, but basically, that is what every single article is about. Even when you venture away from that subject, for example talking about Fiverr, you have copied and pasted what you wrote in one article, into the next one.

Your newest article is the best, as it offers lots of different opportunities for making money, which is what I would expect to see.

Hi Carlos, I found your site to be very informative. At first even though I am aware of ketogenic's, I was concerned you had not placed it in a priority sequence. Yes I did find your explanation.
The before and after photos of are a great example that the keto diet worked well for you.
I also like the way you have related the keto diet as being helpful with addressing concerns about a good diet for diabetics.
Loved the header image and the ease of navigation. At first I thought you were duplicating stories but you proved me wrong again.
As far as your photos of your prepared meals, they really did not looking very appetizing. You may want to visit Printrest since they have some great photos and recipes for the people that are on a keto diet.
Liked the personal information linking you grandma.
I think you have a great site overall and have made me think of changing my diet styles. A bit more color, perhaps more images would make your site even more impressive.
I thank you for the opportunity to look and learn from your site. A great job.
If you do have the time I would appreciate you paying a visit and giving me some suggestions as to how I can improve it.

I think you have a nice looking site. There were a couple of things that stood out to me.

You may want to consider swapping your direct email address out with a contact page. This way your readers can still get in touch if needed, but you're much less likely to get a bunch of spam email.

Take a look at your image settings. You have some nice images inside each post, but for some reason they are not coming through on your homepage.

And finally, a couple of things with your posts...

First, think about your headlines. Currently they are very generic. And while they may make sense to you as they relate to the topic of the post, they are not of the type that anyone is actually typing into a search engine, so you will see little if any traffic from them.

Additionally, avoid being too cute or clever. I can understand from a creative standpoint why you did it, however I can almost guarantee you will NEVER see traffic from a title like, "There's No Place Like Home".

While it may seem whimsical and fun, not only do you face competition from all the other home decor sites, think about the bazillion Wizard of Oz references on the internet that you now have artificially turned into competition as well.

Lastly, work on your post length. You have one post that barely cracks 500 words, and another that doesn't even reach 300. This simply will not be effective in a niche as competitive as yours.

WA recommends a minimum of 1000 words for a post in any niche, and in yours you should strongly consider at least twice that if you hope to get your foot in the door. Lot's of images are great, and you're doing well with that, but you need a lot of words, too, to balance it out.

Hope this helps.

Good morning guys. I'm looking for feedback on my site.... I welcome brutal comments - seriously - take your best, honest shot because I don't have time to waste on a dumb or infantile-looking site. Is it lame? Does it instill trust? Does it look like a 12 year old put it together? I think the content is ok, my longer posts are just over 2000 words, so starting out, that should be ok.

I value your input and i am very anxious to be heading in the right direction and not spin my wheels.

Will gladly return the favor. Have a good week!

Mike - how are you doing?
just had a look at your site.
went to the home pages and.....
what am i supposed to do?
what am i going to learn from your site - why should i stick around?
are you going to be increasing the number of navigation menu items?
at the moment the only way to see your posts is to scroll down.
the name of your site is portable solar - but i jsut read an article aimed at solar for houses( which is te best type of solar panel....)
and another about powerbanks - one of which had a solar panel.
hmm....
maybe a rethink in the direction and products you are going to promote.
what about the camping area - they are larger - not as large as a house but some caravans have large amounts of wasted space on their roofs, do they do sysyems for this?
portable systems - are they worth it- do they do ones which combine other types of power generation - wind/water to supplement the solar on poor light days - or even overnight.
it could be a good niche, but i feel you are going off track.
your articles need more white space.
too many sentences in a paragraph.
forget what you learnt in school, that is for the teachers.
think about how you talk to others.
you tend not to talk in three or four sentence paragraphs, but in single sentences and have a pause.
so use a new paragraph as a pause or even.... this might do it.
plan out your articles and have one main idea - not too big - don't make them think- that's not what they are here for.
i'm getting carried away -sorry.
but you left it open for feedback... so there's is my two cents worth ( converted from 5pence over here!!)
so - navigation, article ideas, white space and you should be a lot closer.
good luck
phil
yeah i know i don't leave a lot of white space when replying - my brain works too fast for my fingers to allow it. if yo are lucky you get some capital letters!! :)

Hi Mike, I really liked your site although it is an area I have little knowledge of but you speak knowledgeably and I think that inspires confidence in the reader. I really don't think it comes across as created by a 12 year old at all! The main thing I noticed is that although you are clearly called Mike, and we have a picture of Mike to relate to, in the comments you are still 'Admin'. I would suggest you go back over these and replace with your name. I'm sure it's just an oversight, we all have them, especially me! Good luck with the site!

I think that you have done good research and I like the way you used your illustrations. In the end the look of the website I do not think is that important, it is more the content that captivates and matters the most. Aesthetically there is nothing I can say that I feel is out of place or not as it should be, but I personally just like the look of a website that is slightly more flashy. But that is just me and I do not necessarily recommend you change anything as such.

HelperCorner, I think you have an interesting idea for a site. I can imagine many affiliated products related to this, including memorabilia, travel tickets, special regional products unique to your home country, etc etc. I feel like your home page should be more about your home country and its culture, and your About Me page should have your story. I am still unclear about what is your home country and think you may want to be vague about this? Not sure.

Your focus may be on the expat and not on the country of origin as a way of appealing to the broader group of expats. But based on what i have learned so far, i think this may be misguided as it could be easier for you to focus on specific expats from a specific country or even region from within a country.

Lastly, and take this all with a grain of salt, when you transfer your domain from siterubix to your own .com, i think you should drop the word 'country' from your tagline. I think the title, "The Expat Away From Home' is all you need and it looks clearer. The word 'Country' threw me the first time i read the title.

By the way, I'm new to this so my advice could send your site into oblivion, so there's that too.

Best of luck.... my opinion is that we serve each other best when we give our honest assessment. Keep in mind that i have provided you my opinion - and that and a dollar fifty will get you a soda.

hmm... doing well - not really - the problem with loads of sites, as i tell people, is that you dilute your authority - the best one sf the 3d printer site, but the affiliated products are pennies - really like the niche but....
the hydroponics site is starting to gain some interest.
the make money sites very little.
so if you want some advice - pick one niche and stick to it for a couple of years and you wil be making money - make sure there are products of value between $50 and $200 so at least you get a decent commission. and stick with it whatever.
thanks again for reporting it.

There is no wrong or right really when it comes to website creation as if you was to look at my websites then you will see that I use my home page much differently to yours and sometimes I wonder if it is not a mistake as it is great to have all your articles on your home page straight away for your visitors to see your different topics. I am yet to add some extra tabs to it and am hoping that it will look better after as the original had more tabs and obscured a bit less. I am in two minds here because I do like the trainer as is something a tad different, but on the other hand I do not like that it obscures the header a bit. Thanks for the feedback. It is much appreciated. I will definitely have a think about it all.

Hi Everyone,
I am creating an online presence helping individuals have access to affordable legal advice and services through the company I am associated with. As such it doesn't lend itself to affiliate marketing.

I will move in that direction in the future using a different domain in the field of music. But for now I would appreciate any feedback on my site. So far I have received some high rankings on Google, Bing and Yahoo that is very encouraging.

Since I am in early stages of my website I have focused more on content. I will tackle the layout later. My request it to give me feedback on the content. But I will gladly accept comments on the layout if you feel so inclined.

Sometimes I think there is a misconception about what it is that we do. Don't think of affiliate marketing as just "product" sites, although that is certainly one form.

From what I can tell, you're site doesn't look much different from ones that many of us here are doing. You have identified a niche that you're interested in, you are creating informative and valuable content, and you are building an audience. In other words, pretty much everything WA teaches anyway.

I don't think there is too much you will learn in the training program that you won't actually be able to use in at least one form or another. While your motivation may be a tad different than someone just creating a product-focused site, the actual mechanics of online marketing are exactly the same.

You site looks great. Keep up the good work :-)

Excellent article. Very well written and informative.

The only thing I might suggest is that you consider the formatting. While a lot of white space does give an article room to "breathe -- which is a good thing -- in this case you have a tad too much.

I would think about reducing the gaps between paragraphs about a line or two. Nothing too dramatic, mind you, or you risk swinging to far in the other direction, but I think it help with your flow even better.

Nicely done, sir.

Thank you! Yes I am trying to make the margins smaller but I am having a hard time with it, I cannot seem to figure out how to do this with the spacing of the paragraphs and the width of the paragraphs as well. How can I do this in the customizer in wordpress?
Reply
AJTrimble1 Premium
Yeah, it's a bit harder in WordPress.

Unlike a word processor (like Word, for example) where everything is handled by the editor toolbar, in WP line spacing and such is mostly contained within the theme itself. This can prove challenging if you are using a free theme because many don't give much control over that unless you know a good amount of CSS code and the like.

A possible solution you might try if you still want to keep the theme you have is to go into your plugins and do a search for "visual style editor".

Look for the Visual CSS Style Editor by WaspThemes.

I have not used it myself (since I already spent a TON of money on a theme that is fully customizable! lol), but I have heard nothing but great things about it.

You can select the item/area you want to change and then, using drop-downs and sliders, actually adjust it in real-time as you're looking at it. It's actually quite ingenious the way they did it.

Give that a shot.

Very interesting post! I enjoyed it. I think sexuality is important and being comfortable with oneself can have many positive benefits. I think your article was detailed enough to provide the necessary information but not too long as to lose my interest. It had a good balance of white space and imagery. I think you hit the major points. My only recommendations are: 1. Make sure you answer any questions you pose. Such as I didn't see an answer to the "what is an orgasm?" question. 2. Proof read to spell check and check for proper grammar.

Great job! Keep up the good work :)

You site looks great. Nice layout and your articles are well written.

The only thing you should be aware of is your niche itself.

You have what is commonly referred to as a "lifestyle" blog. Now, there is nothing wrong with that, and many such sites are extremely popular. And yours looks to be shaping up as one of the better ones I've seen, so well done.

Just understand that such sites are less "nichy", for lack of better term, so it can take longer to build up an audience. BUT...

On the plus side, if you have the patience required for such a site, once you have an audience, in my experience they tend to be extremely loyal.

For a good example, take a look at Tim Ferriss' site (https://tim.blog/). His is a bit more sophisticated because he's been around so long, but look past the look of it and focus on his content and, even more importantly, his interaction with his crowd; you'll see that his audience is filled with raving fans.

Another example that is a bit more business focused, but no less a lifestyle style blog, is Seth Godin (https://www.sethgodin.com/) Again, he's built so much loyalty with his audience that now every book he releases is pretty much a number one best-seller as soon it's published.

Keep up the good work :-)

Your banner with the airplane that says "Create Memories for a Lifetime", memories is misspelled. Also the word victim in the 2nd paragraph is misspelled and the word advice in the first paragraph under "Avoid being a Target" is misspelled as well. In the 3rd paragraph of that same section, you have a period instead of a space between proper and copies. Definitely run the spell and grammar check as I'm seeing some other spelling and grammar errors other than those but I don't want to keep listing all of them.

This is a great informative article which I think would be helpful for people planning to travel. I left you a comment on your site as well.

Hi - the first thing I notice is that your site is not secure. You need to switch on your SSL Certificate using Site Manager. I personally find your font to be very small. Several of your articles are too short, you need to be aiming for 1000 words for each one. The articles are nicely written, but as the others have said, several spelling and grammar errors. All the best, Diane

I took a little poke around the website. I didn't leave any comments because I had nothing relevant to add.

However, could I make a few suggestions?

Changing between standard text and bold so frequently. Why? To me, it made it a little difficult reading.

You have a lot of images. All have your watermark on them. It was distracting.

Just my observations.

Wow! What a detailed article! I love the step by step visuals and instructions! I also love the relatable struggles put in there. We have all, at one point, had these issues! The only thing I can say is to use the grammar checker. (I am a retired teacher and catch grammar mistakes easily). Nice article!!!

Bold it, so that it can stand out and help to save time on reading. Nowadays, a lot of people are very busy. The purpose is to cut down reading time on the whole article and to emphasize the main points.
As for the watermark, it is to protect my personal pictures. Copyright purpose.
Appreciate your time too, Kenneth! Thank you!

I read your article and it's interesting and has a lot of information. I do agree with K Sagendorph that switching between bold and regular type through out the info, especially when it's just a phrase in bold within regular type is distracting and doesn't look right to me. I did read your response with the reason why but I'm not sure this is the way to go.

Also, just one more suggestion is there is a lot of information and I understand that a lot of the pictures are needed to show how this device works but maybe you can use the pictures to break up the information more? Like almost all of your images are aligned on the left side, maybe you could change it up and do centered and right aligned as well. Maybe that wouldn't work either, I just feel like it would create a bit better user experience if you tweak the pictures and the bold/regular font issues.

Thank you, Melissa, for your advice.
I have received both good and bad comments about to bold or not to.
I will look into it.

In fact, I have spent more than 3 hours to resize and realigned all the pictures, after advice from our WA folks here.

The purpose of the website is also to provide real-life functional photos. I am those who want to look at pictures or the real item prior to purchase. Most of the website, it never provides detailed ones like what I have broken down.
Your suggestion, I will definitely take into consideration!

Thank you, Melissa! Have a great weekend! :o)

Hi Terand! I had a chance to thoroughly review your website and found it intriguing. Some honest suggestions:
Use a lot less bolded text and maybe larger font.
Watermarking your photos makes them difficult to see.
You need a nice handsome photo of yourself on the About page!
Add affiliate links and banners on the side to increase conversions.
Maybe put the About Terand, Privacy Policy & Affiliate Disclosure as a dropdown titled Site Info. and add a Reviews column and another category.
Keep adding more and more content---maybe some Reviews, HOW TOs and Articles.

You've got a great site going! Keep up the good work, my friend!

Dear WA Friends, I'm building a website in the top thriller novels niche and am wondering if you can give me some feedback on how I am coming along with my website.

I'm planning to add affiliate links from the books to Amazon (and down the road, to other products), but I'm not an Amazon affiliate yet. From what I read on their site, I need to have at least 10 posts before applying, so I'm building my content first.

I'll be happy to give feedback on others' websites.

Yes, I found an extension for Chrome called "Wordpress Theme Detector and Plugin Detector" and whenever you go to a wordpress site and wonder about a plugin or theme they might be using, you just click the button and it gives you the information. I've found it very useful, especially with nearly everyone here using WP sites, you can see what others are using and cut down research time in building out sites.

Hi - I know your site is a work in progress, but as it stands, it's a little bit pointless at the moment. Lists of books with a 2 sentence synopsis are not going to attract visitors. People like to see personal opinions and reviews. You need to think as to what you can offer that people can't get from going to the big guns like Amazon or GoodReads.

Hello. The site is coming along great. A couple things you might try and change, if possible, would be that on your About Me page your picture is quite large as is the picture on the hours and scheduling page. Also, the hours and scheduling box on your home page, could be eliminated and just put the link in you top navigation next to "Home | Blog | Hours and Scheduling | About Me". I find your page pretty neat and organized. It didn't load slow for me. I agree that you should have a footer where you can place your privacy policy, disclosure page, etc.

You will want to set up some categories and move your posts to the related categories instead of having them in the default uncategorized. I'm not sure if you just haven't gotten to that point yet.

I like the header photo too. It's nice and big. Overall, I think your site looks good.

Hi Michelle,
Was trying to give feedback yesterday but my computer 'took a powder'(crashed). Anyway I like the theme 'excellent'. I do see you have no blogroll (recent posts) in what is supposed to be a right column. YOur design here may not call for that. Just sayin.
YOu may have intended this but your landing page is a series of read mores with your blog roll of posts. However your Home tab button at the top goes to so a slider with Confidentiality, Scheduling etc. Nice trick. Might work. You have social icons at the top which should be out of the way at the bottom. But ! they are very a subtle and Non-distracting. MIght just work here also. Great Clickable internal links with your pictures. Love♥ the phone number to call by clicking. How did you do that ?
_____________________________________________________
However I don't see too many External Links yet. Even to start with an informational one to Wikipedia would be good. Then on to Amazon, Etsy or Ebay etc.. But, this style of site may not call for those. Just a thought.
p.s. when you click on the phone number or your email it wants me to pick an ap from a drop down. It say "ALways open these types of Links in the associated App". Well hope this helps........Scotty B ♫

Thanks for the feedback! My computer takes powders frequently, so no worries :)

On to the questions...I do not see a right column on my screen. I am going to look at it in different browsers later and on mobile.

As for how the phone number works...no idea LOL I am not a coder. I just use the template and somehow it works :) Also, not sure about the whole ap business. I will get into that and figure it out. It doesn't do me much good to try to get clients if they have to download aps to access information or email me. Weird.

Again, thanks for the feedback. The site is only a few days old so not a whole lot on it yet. Plugging away slowly but surely

You have good looking site, Shashwat.

As you probably know, photography and equipment is an extremely competitive niche, and I think by focusing mainly on the sub-niche of tripods is a fantastic way to get your foot in the door.

Your articles are very helpful and well written. And, naturally, you are making good use of images.

At this point, the only suggestion I might have would be to insert a "read more" link into your posts after the first paragraph or so.

Right now you have each entire post showing on your home page which makes for a lot of scrolling to get to the bottom. Many people won't stick around that long. If you use the tag, though, you will be able to fit more posts in a reasonable amount of space; a much better experience for your readers.

Keep up the good work. :-)

I recommend always leaning way more on the info side. Reviews are fine, but if you have too many compared to actual informative posts your site may start to look "spammy" if you know what I mean.

Hi Shashwat - your site is coming along nicely. The articles are well-written and easy to read, with paragraphs and images. My only suggestion would perhaps be to add some external links. For example, you mentioned the names of some photographers. I didn't know who they were and had to Google them.

Oh, okay, I get it.

But if I do that, how will I sell products? My last post was about the best tripod for beginners. In that I gave some information about what to look for in a good tripod, and I gave some information about the tripod which I think satisfies the criteria.

Should I write such articles or purely information based like different photography techniques, etc? I'm not sure as my niche is tripods so if I write about photography , wouldn't it be irrelevant to my niche ?

Great start with your website love the header image on point.
The theme is clean and easy to read and navigate.

Maybe the addition of a featured image on your blog roll will break up all the text and entice visitors to click through and read more.

Hi John,

There is loads of information, but if I didn't already know it was WA you probably would have lost me once I clicked the start exploring.

I would add in a headline before you get to the stats as at first I thought these related to your site.

The blue color stands out well.

Other feedback... I would explain from the start it is WA that you are talking about.

Lose either the learn more or start exploring as you don't need both.

Have your full review button open in a new tab so they don't leave this page.

There are lots of questions in the first paragraph maybe ask one question and then give the solution no body likes being bombarded with questions it may make your visitor leave the site.

Get your free website button - open in new tab so they don't leave your site.

Finishing on the pluses.. loads of great information, design looks good, and easy to read ....

Trust this helps you ... I tried to look at it as someone who doesn't know what WA is.

Looked over your site and here are my answers:
1. There is plenty of information. It was a bit confusing to find your articles with information.
2. I was left with the impression of training. However at first glance it was work at home.
3. Blue is the color of trust and professionalism. There is plenty of it.
4. There are a lot of images to click on your main page and got lost to get to your articles.

I like that automation typing style you've got on your header main page. That's cool! Good color too.

have worked really hard and tirelessly since I went premium just a couple days ago.

The website URL is

I almost feel like the text is a bit light on the top and the landing home page is not quiet the way I want it to look. I am not sure if this comes with time and I'll learn how to change this within the lessons or if I should just choose a new theme and go from there.
I have looked within my website editor to change the font color and change the home page but I don't see anything besides a background color to change.

Good work on the content. There is a lot going on with your website. That image of your dog is taking too much attention and not giving way to read your content. You're also right about the color of your text too light. Make it dark.

Since you're just starting, keep following the training lessons. And you mentioned the page is not quite the way you want it, then test with other templates. Look for something simple to look at and easy for you to make changes.

Hi Christine. I think you might have missed something. When I go to those links, nothing happens and they go nowhere. In fact, most of these .com domain names are still available. I did however find that those sites exist as .siterubix.com sites, but that there is no content available. So while you have created sites in .siterubix, if you want them to be .coms then you need to register those domain names and then move your .siterubix.com domains to those top-level .com addresses....Is this making sense? Also, 5 sites or 5 sites a week in Level 1 Lesson 6 is way to much, in my opinion. How will you manage content for these sites? Pick one and build it out with lots of content, links, insight, pictures, reviews, etc. Get traffic, make money, help people, then build another.

Hi Christine - I am not sure that you understand what you are doing. You can't just make up the names of websites and expect them to exist. Unless you are using the free sites provided here, you actually need to buy each of these website names, assuming they are available.

Your goals are somewhat unrealistic with wanting to create so many sites. Each site will need dozens of articles on it of at least 1000 words each. Please just build one site until you get the hang of it. Follow the training closely and complete all the tasks without missing out any steps.

Hey all,

I've been working on a music blog over the past few weeks. I haven't done product reviews or anything like that. It's been either list articles or tutorials related to musical instruments. I feel like general music-related topics are the one thing I can write well about. There's plenty of good keywords to target but I don't know if it's too broad of a niche. I just want some feedback on if this is a niche worth pursuing that can become profitable eventually.

Any input is appreciated! Thank you so much.

First of all, I'm not usually a fan of the "Twitter" style background design on blogs, as they tend to be a bit too busy and distracting, but in this case I think it works with the niche you're in.

I think your articles are very well done. In fact, as a former rock/metal bass player myself, you had me with the top article. And the fact that you one of your recommended songs was Holy Diver -- literally the FIRST song I ever played with a band -- you really hooked me. It brought back some fond memories. lol

You're doing well. Keep up the good work. :-)

I like how easy your navigation through each post is. I noticed your home page was not very detailed, so maybe incorporate you message above your recent posts if your template allows it. I am about to purchase the full version of my template for better editing power so you might want to consider that too if you are looking for more capacity.

I enjoyed finding out how to play blue oyster cult, it looks way easier than I thought, so good links too. Keep up the good work! I would start doing instrument reviews or comparisons too.

I like your big fonts although they train us not to use them as much. I prefer it. Trying to see what fonts you used ? Maybe messed with the Font Sizes ? Looks good anyway. In your "how to sell dresses online" post, some of your images have captions that blend in with the article text. It can be a little confusing for the reader.

That's a very interesting article. A couple of things to think about.

It's your first article, so you may not be there in the training yet, and that's okay, but you will want to add in some images to help break up the text. Just make them relevant to whatever you are talking about in that part of the post.

Speaking of breaking up the text, I would break your paragraphs down more. Most people don't "read" on the web as much as they scan, so keep your paragraphs short -- two or three sentences at most. Give them plenty of white space to work with.

Hi everybody,

I have a website dedicated to chocolates made with ethically and sustainably farmed ingredients. In march, I am going to also transition to all organic chocolates, although most of what I offer now is organic. Anway, traffic has been extremely light, so I wrote a post about the health benefits of hemp oil in chocolate. I thought that might garner some interest. What do you think? you can read the post here:

I've also created an original video that tells most of what is in the written post. You might enjoy that more. anyway, that's my story, and I'd appreciate any feedback you have to offer. Thanks.

Thank you Raulmalfita for the review. I'm still developing the site. I just needed someone else thoughts prior to completing it. Here is my observation of your phenomenal site.

HIGHLIGHTS:

I found this page (http://bgreate.com/traditional-book-or-ebook/) deep, informative, educational, and mind-blowing.

I agree 100%...

It is advisable for all types of people who, through knowledge, want to transform their reality, either in the academic style studies or in the study ordinary of things.

Furthermore, having good readings habits, in my opinion, is fundamental for changing and improving your mindset.

Intriguing...
The studies point out that When asked which of the two supports were better concentrated, 92% of the students answered that with the printed texts.

67% of students said they felt that digital media promoted multiple activities while reading, while only 41% experienced that sensation when reading from paper.

If you have any question regarding my observation. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us :)

Hi - sorry, but I can't see this point of this post. At only 200 words, it won't be recognised by Google. It is targeted at Valentine's Day, and therefore only has limited appeal for a short timeframe. Plus, it is a special offer which could change at any time. Do you plan on checking it every day to make sure the offer is still available? I guess you are hoping it would be spotted by somebody who already happened to be on your site.

Hi Amber, your website looks great. The article is too short though, you need to elaborate more to rank in google. In the training Kyle states 1,000 to 1,500 words which can be challenging but worth it. I write about 500 to 600 words - short articles but more consistent.

I love the festive header! Your site is clean and easy to read and the links lead where they should. Having a shopping category is good and you will be able to link many articles to it without having to add too many ads on each page.

I'm afraid that targeting an item on sale is going to require too much maintenance on your part. Amazon (and maybe others) do not allow us to list the price unless it is part of the link they created. At that price, the company can easily sell out and your readers might be ticked because they didn't get one.

Looks like you've done a good job with it. I see that you placed a few Amazon links near the bottom of the review inside the text which is perfect. You might also consider placing one at the top when you first mention the product.

One thing you may need to consider, though, is not quoting the exact price. I have not experienced this myself, but several members have reported recently that they've been dinged by Amazon for doing that. Instead, you might just make the link "Click here for the most up to date price" or something.

Just a thought. :-)

First, don't worry if it takes a few days. There's no rush. It's not about speed; it's about consistency.

As far as the site, you are doing quite well. You have a nice, clean layout that is fairly easy to navigate.

My wife will soon be starting a similar site based on her experiences, so I am relatively familiar with the subject, and I must say you're articles are extremely well done. Lots of quality information that is interesting the read, and you are making great use of images.

My only suggestion at this point is that you may want to consider using the "read more" tag in your posts. This will limit how long your home page is as well as allow you to get more posts displayed on there.

Well done, sir. :-)

Hello, I am full of admiration for your website. First the topic, I have never come across this topic as an article so we'll written and detailed. My first impression landing on the home page was "this for sure is spirituality related". The message of the image is loud and clear. The website is easy to navigate. Only one thing I could not really distinguish at first sight, is the title of each paragraph. In a live class here in WA it was advised to put title in Bold so they can be easily be identified. Really Great site.

If you are using the "Classic" editor -- which I recommend you stay with since that is what Kyle is using in the training videos -- pull up one of your existing posts in your site dashboard, or create a new one.

Along the top of the editor box where you type your content you will see a tool bar with different icons for things like bold, italic, etc. Near the middle you will see an icon that looks a bit like a cheesburger (lol). If you hover over that it will say "Insert Read More tag). All you have to do is set your cursor at the point you want to insert it and click that icon.

I usually set it after a few sentences, right at a point where I am about to reveal a tip or something, or right after I have asked a question. The idea is to create a "mystery" that makes the reader want to continue reading.

Let me know if this helped. :-)

I like the fonts, layout, pictures, and color selections, however, on my screen it is very large and thus hard to read. Maybe it's my browser, but other sites' font isn't so large. Maybe check it out. Also, on your work party Ideas package, there seems to be some misspellings for stressful and schedule that you might want to correct. Hi Amelia,
I like the Niche Event Planning. Your theme Blossom is good too. Your Font is a little large. Most experts recommend paragraph and then H2 for Headings. Older folks may appreciate what you already have cause they can See it. I think someone can read more words more quickly if it is smaller. However, I personally find the larger font is fine. If you do cut down on the font then you could fit a right column in for your blog roll (posts and pages you have recently edited). I also think your Social Icons at the top take too much room for your "above the fold" text to show. Place those at the bottom. Also, you might want to include a "Leave a Reply" at the bottom to get engagement back and forth. This is good for the Rankings. All-in-all a great site !!...........Scotty B ♫

Hi Amelia

Love your concept and your site looks really clean and bright.
It's also good that straight away you give your clients an indication of price as a lot of companies try and get you hooked first then give you a ridiculous price therefore wasting your time and theirs.
One thing I think is really important for your online business especially for the Kids parties is to have many pictures of the parties you have had even maybe a couple of video clips showing the kids laughing and playing and enjoying t themselves as this will give you and your company credibility.
Lots of luck for the future
Kind Regards

Hey I think the site looks great. It is professional and still fun. I agree with others about type size. I know you’re just starting, and so am I. But I would suggest some more details and illustrations of what they get. More photos of previous events you have produced. I am thinking of the Etsy sites I have seen with page after page of decorations for each theme. I bet you already have these as photos from suppliers. Even choices of colors, merchandise and paper goods. Something to make it look like you get a lot for your money. Also a long list of previous jobs and who and what they were. Like a resume. The overall look is great though. Exciting, which is what you want. Good luck with your business.

The site looks really good. And some good original content. My only thought was, a lot of your ideas are DIY things you can do without buying anything. That’s good for the reader, but not good to monetize the site. Unless maybe you write a digital book of your own to sell, which it looks like your are capable of. Also when I saw your site’s web link I thought it was about my healthy cat. I actually clicked off and the back again because I was more interested in my cat’s health than my own. (Unfortunately). So I am wondering if somewhere down the line you might want to change the domain. Although I guess you’d have to start over getting it ranked. Anyway it looks and reads great.

You have a nice looking site. Clean and not too busy. Your articles are of a good length, and you are making great use of visuals.

A couple of things to consider...

1) You might move your Privacy Policy down to the Footer area. It's definitely a "required" thing for a site, but it's not so vital that you should be wasting valuable real estate at the top of each page for it.

Save that space for the important stuff -- like what your audience is actually searching for. Besides, if you've seen one privacy policy you've basically seen them all. lol

2) I like the clean look of your site, although it may actually be too clean. What I mean is that there is a lot of white space going on.

Don't get me wrong. Normally this is a good thing. Most people ruin a good design by cramming too much in there.

But in this case, I think just a splash of color near the top might do wonders. For example, maybe change the background of your header to red (so it matches the color scheme), and then changing the Slowly Slimmer title to white. This would help balance things a bit more.

3) And lastly, start thinking about what categories you might create. Currently, all of your articles are listed as Uncategorized. But if you start to group them now, before you grow too big to handle easily, you can have a nice "library" going for your audience.

For example, it looks like most, if not all, of your articles at the moment tend to focus on intermittent fasting. This is a perfect category. Specific enough to be grouped together, but also allows room for other potential topics to be covered later as your site matures.

I think you're off to a good start, my friend... keep up the good work. :-)

As far as plugins go, there are about nine-hundred and seventy-three bazillion out there (okay, I exaggerate... but only a little. lol). It really just depends on what it is you need the plugin to do.

For now, as you're just getting started, I recommend using the plugins Kyle recommends in the training. Later on, as your site grows and you decide that you need a particular function on it, come back to the community and tell us what you're looking for and I'm sure you'll get loads of suggestions. :-)

Thanks so much for the review! I will definitely put some of your tips to work soon. I really appreciate it. Especially the grouping of topics because while writing about Intermittent Fasting is fine, there are only so many ways to give the same information. I will need to branch out at some point. Also, I agree I need some more colors or something interesting. I'm just getting to the "Money" part of training, so maybe some of the other white space will be banner ads or something, but I really want to try not to overcrowd the pages.

Hi ItsRyan.
Like your Theme from Candid Themes Gist. Great weight loss Niche. I would try to get your blog roll of recent posts in that blank right column on your Home Post/page instead of at the bottom. Unless you are going to fill it with another content piece. Although that would be a bit overwhelming for the readers with 3 columns of content. I would stick with placing the blog roll (posts) in that right column. Too much empty space. Though, I do see this idea on other posts which is good. Your blue number 16 I feel is just too darn big. A "Leave a Reply" would be good at the bottom.......Scotty B ♫

Sounds good. Just don't get too hung up on the money part for now. It's good information to know so you can see where you're headed long-term. But for now just keep doing what you're doing and focus on quality content. You can have all the ads and links in the world on there, but without eyeballs to see it you still won't make a dime. The challenge is getting a steady stream of traffic... after that, monetizing is the easy part. :-)

Hey team,

Really enjoying my time with you.

I am at the point in my training where I needed to create my first product review. I would love your feedback if you have the time.

Please don't pay attention to the header, it's a work-in-progress. I'm most interested in getting your thoughts on the content.

Thanks in advance! And have a great day.

When I was growing up back in the 1940's and '50's in a small town in N.C. my dad was in the auto parts and auto repair business. We had a battery shop where we repaired the lead acid batteries that cars came with in those days. We had this guy whose job was to take them apart and repair and replace the lead plates and replace them put them back together and seal them up again with hot tar and rebuild the lead poles on top for the cables by pouring hot molten lead in a mold. I learned how to do all that as a teenager. I became very familiar with the anatomy of lead acid batteries and what acid does to fingers, clothes and everything it touches. Great article you wrote. Brought back memories.

Your images seems good on all the other pages, but I saw this image and looks quite blurry to me? Is it the idea behind it to be blurry? If not, I think a better quality image is needed.

I do like your home page as the scripture verse of the day is very clear and I do like the simple layout at the bottom that makes it so easy to navigate to the section of choice. I do like "Daily Dose", "Inspired Life" and "Life Lessons" Titles. They are very relevant.

Keep up the hard work and writing about that what you are passionate about.

Kind regards

I'm still working on the format of my reviews. For some reason, I find them more challenging than just informative articles.

My website is focused on small dogs and dog products. This review is of a dog food.

https://smallnotstuffed.com/taste-test-spot-farms-dehydrated-dog-food

I'm looking for constructive feedback about the format of the review and the general site layout if you have time. I don't need comments on the actual post. Thanks!

I have looked over your site and it has a nice layout. I like the way your theme looks and how the articles are displayed on it. It looks very nice and professional. One thing is that I would reposition my Small Not Stuffed header image up slightly so that you can read the whole name of your site. Looks great.

Could you return the favor and look over my article.

Thank you for the advice.

I like the clean format of your site. That header is perfect for a weight loss site! It was easy to navigate the desktop version of the site but I had some trouble with the menu on the mobile version. It kept closing before I could pick. I'm not sure if thay's my phone (lg stylo 4, android) or your theme so you may want to test with other mobile devices.

I noticed in the specific post you linked that you said, "it is recommended that seniors perform at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercises each day and at least 3 days per week" without saying who recommends it. Citing sources may reassure readers.

I didn't see an affiliate disclaimer. I'm not sure if that is because you aren't using affiliate links or the menu structure needs adjusted.

Hope that helps!

Hi Ginger,
Like the theme Craft Blog. Nice Script At the top. Like the 'data capture' as we call it for your Leave a Reply. AS for your question on Format, it seems to be more for your Entrepreneur course. The Bootcamp set-up is very different. Format can be somewhat part of what your theme does and mostly how you organize your content. I think the pictures can be right aligned and a little smaller from what I have learned from experts. But personally I do not find anything wrong with the way you positioned them and the size.

I would call your categories in the right side widget area 'Recent Posts' and I would include a 'Recent Comments' below it but that is optional. All this can be done in the Appearance→ widgets. hOpe this helped.........Scotty B ♫

I think you have an excellent review post here. Plenty of helpful information and the layout is nice, clean, and easy to read. Extremely well done.

One thing you may want to look into, however, is I have seen several posts here on WA in the last week or so with members that have had issues with Amazon for posting prices. Not sure what is going on there, but definitely check it out so you don't get in a bind.

One way around it that might be to use a link like, "Click here for the latest price" or something similar (best deal, etc.).

Did a theme change and updated some other things, like keeping the sidebar as the user scrolls.

Should I keep the sidebar on the left, or put it on the right?

Any and all critiques welcome! Hope everyone is having a warm and productive day. It's bitterly cold here, so no excuse to not work, right?

It just depends on what your preference is and what you are trying to accomplish. From what I've seen, the right side seems to be the one used most. Although, I have started to see a lot of sites that don't use sidebars at all so that they can maximize their "real estate".
Reply
ChadTrader Premium
Hi Jerimy,

The sidebars look better on the right hand side in my opinion. Seems like most Themes that are using one sidebar looks better on the right.

Looking through your site, the only issue that popped out to me, was the placement of your images on the left side of the text in your post.

The search engine bots cannot read the text that is to the right of the image.

To get around this place the images in between lines of text or to the left of the images.

Other than that your site is looking pretty good and the content that I scanned looks like it is written well.

Hope that helps!

I dont think it really makes a difference . have a play and see what you like best . look from a visitors point of view. The articles are all relevant to the site so thats a good thing and easy to read.
good start you will get better with practice.
A good rule of thumb is to find someone who is successful and copy what they do. Find a site similar to yours and see what they have done with it for ideas.

Hello everyone,
My website is justlovetosing.com. I have been hearing contrasting opinions on my background color (black) and text color (white). It's confusing me a bit because others say to leave it alone and some say the opposite (black on white background) converts better. I feel like just tossing a coin sometime and see which side shows up.

Again my website is justlovetosing.com

Thank you all

Hi Richard, I've just had a look through your site and I like the black background with the white characters, gives the page a deep texture. Downside might be that some of the images lose a bit of definition as they can tend to merge with the background. Could have done with a bit more Christina Aguilera, she's awesome but it makes you want more, which can't be a bad thing on any website.Nice one.

Hi Craig,
I like your website. It's simple but effective.
I think the header is fine. I like how your top menu scrolls with the page but isn't too big for that feature.
I think your content is great. Simple, basic, good tips.

The only changes I can see as obvious are:
-Could make the font a little darker so it's easier to read. Either a darker gray or plain black would be slightly clearer.
-Play around with not having periods after the tips "An aquarium", etc. May look better without the punctuation at the end.
-Could make the text a slight bit larger. (this is something I'm considering for my site too)
-Consider having the post/page title or an alternate version of it at the top of the post, or even right underneath that italicized intro part. I think it can look good to have the title as Heading 1 size, since the default title at the top of the post is smaller than some of the headings in the post itself. Just something to play around with; you should be able to disable the page title default if you wanted to.

Keep up the great work!!
Ben

Hello all!

Looking for some insight and feedback for improving conversions. My traffic isn't super high yet, but I am getting enough from Pinterest I would think I'd have a few more sales. I've made 2 sales so far, but my conversion rate is less than 1% for the number of clicks I have. I probably don't have enough traffic yet to get accurate data, but I hope I'm not losing sales somewhere that I'm overlooking. Advice appreciated! Should I get rid of Adsense and Amazon Native Ads? I feel like I put them on in a way that isn't overboard and distracting, but it's not like they're really making me much so I'll take them off if it will make a difference. Thanks!

Your site does look amazing, I wish I could/knew how to do mine look so pretty and clean.

I tested your website some SEO tool and double checked in Google.

For some reason you have only 2 pages indexed? google .... site:rockingthecloth.com

Why is that? Maybe you need to make a sitemap and upload in google console

About the post... great work, it counts for 3500 words (with comments, you supposed to be getting high ranks and flow)!

That is quite odd--all my posts and pages are indexed as evidenced by both Google Webmaster Tools and the WA site content. When I go to google and type site:rockingthecloth.com I get 159 results. Maybe you typed something wrong? I appreciate you taking the time to look! If you didn't type something wrong, let me know because that's odd and I'd like to know why other people can't search for my site.

Thank you! I'm taking a look at that now. I'm confused by the first point--by Headline on the homepage, do they mean header? Right now my homepage is my blog roll, but I have my header with my logo and tag line. As for the call to action, I review a number of different products and don't endorse just one thing (I'm a niche site). What would a call to action be in that scenario?

Love that tip #4 though. I have not been paying attention to make sure my headings are benefit driven. I'm working on improving my mobile speed right now but that feels like a dead end game. WA Site Support says I need to contact my theme people. My theme people are not very helpful. I bought a premium theme that is supposed to be optimized for speed and come with premium support, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to mean much.

I do want to figure out how to make my homepage more of a funnel. Right now it's my blog roll, but I do want to move toward a static page at some point. I'm just so bad at this website design stuff I have been putting it off. I can't seem to make attractive pages.

Hi Holly,
Right off the bat I like the Blossom theme it maybe Feminine-Pro. A paid theme ? As you hover over the pictures they move. Nice touch. As for excluding Adsense and Amazon native ads I say stay with it but push it. For Amazon associates keeps you only for six months If no sales but you have some so may not be an issue. You can re
