As we are building out our websites, it is always nice to get some feedback and insights from "others" as to how we are doing. It can lead to us getting a better understanding of the process and it will lead to a much higher quality website.

If you are needing a website review, post your website URL here for feedback.

Example:

Hey guys, I am just building a website in the weight loss niche and am wondering if you can give me some feedback on how I am coming along with my website. Here is my domain:

http://howtolosebellyfattoday.com/

Thanks!

But remember, this is a community here at Wealthy Affiliate and don't just post your link and leave. Offer others the same sort of help you are about to get. Whenever you post your website here, make sure that you offer your opinions and insights on at least two other websites.

Hello team WA, I just wanted to ask the community to give a bit of feedback on one of my recent articles. You may not be familiar with the niche of surf fishing, but I would like to know if this article would be helpful to you in learning about the gear needed to fish from the beach. Thanks for your help.

Your website layout and design is really nice, and for this particular article, the quick navigation menu and visual comparison chart are very helpful.

I am not familiar with surf fishing, so from my perspective, I especially appreciate how you broke up the article with bite-sized segments labeled with big headings, banners, images, and concise pros/cons.

I really don't have suggestions for what I would change!

Overall, you have done a great job making your site accessible to newbies, and also giving some in-depth info for the already knowledgeable.

Are you experienced with designing websites?

Hey Gil,

A couple of things I noticed that you may want to check...

Your images don't appear even or uniform while viewing on a cell phone. The link you provided, the first image is stretched (too tall), the second one is very small.

Your content is more informative than personable. When you cite a source, provide the source at the end, or directly link the referenced point.

Try to keep your content in short 3-4 sentences long. There was a section about halfway that almost filled the entire phone screen.

Overall, you are off to a good start, so keep at it!.

Hi, I like your website because it's informative and educational. Although I slightly disagree with you on two points: Where I worship cannot in any way corrupts my habit of eating. The same thing goes with where I live can neither persuade me to purchase by impulse no matter the number of grocery stores present in my neighborhood.
The best of luck.

Thank you for your comments, and your right on your 2 points but alot of people are not in control of there will power and compulsive habits. When things are easily obtainable there easily obtainable.

Statistics show if you put a steak in front of someone that is hungry there probably going to eat it)

Kudos to you and your will power.
Thanks again,

Not necessarily.
Put that steak in front of a non-meat eater. The likihood of them consuming steak is minimal.

If someone has not eaten in a while, I would consider something less taxing on their system.

Gil,

Overall, you have a very clean and easy to view website. As you build it out and add more content and your brand, I would encourage you to try and keep the clean and simple setup.

There are a few things I would suggest editing:

*Under Section 2 Engineered Junk Foods, the images are too close to each other and they crunch the text. I'd recommend that you space the images further apart in your article.

*Perhaps consider using a table of contents, especially when you have more than 5 section/headers. I use the plugin "Easy Table of Contents". Just go to your Wordpress admin dashboard>Plugins>Add New>Search Plugins, and download and activate that plugin.

*Some of your Section titles are underlined while others are not. To keep consistency and neatness, either underline all of your headings, or none of them.

*When you title your "Conclusion", perhaps try to name it something fun and personable. In this case, you could go with something like "Don't Give Up" or "You Can Do It"

I hope this can be of help!

You're very welcome. By clean and simple, I was just referring to your overall website layout. Once you start adding more banners and images, it will change the look a bit, so I was just emphasizing that the simplicity of your layout could be an asset.

Best of success!

Hello everyone, I'm still in the process of building my website in the mirrorless cameras niche. Would gladly appreciate any feedback about my website for me to improve.. thanks in advance!

https://mymirrorlesscameras.com/top-rated-mirrorless-cameras-best-mirrorless-cameras-for-beginners/

Thanks,
Rowe

ps. the blog page is still in draft form.. i made the blog page as experiment because at first i don't know how to add blog page on top menu.

I have the mirrorless Fuji X E-3. Still learning how to use it.

Your article started out good with written content that was very personable, yet,you lost me with all of the technical descriptions and review points.

I want to know why the mirrorless cameras are good, how they filtration, the differences between them and the mirrored ones.

Re the blog page...

Under settings, select reading tab.

Use a static page for either your Home page or your blog page.

If you use the home page for the page, use the blog page itself under the posts tab.

Now your posts will land on the blog page, website magic, its an automatic delivery when set up that way.
When you create your blog page, check your template on the far right column and select either theme or default and your blog page will work exactly as designed.

Thanks very much Rudy for taking time. I have a sticky post at my "homepage" that explains mirrorless camera- its origin, main parts, how it works and how it differs from DSLR (with mirror).

Basically I included the "common or basic specs" that are normally being asked when someone buys a carmera.. thanks for your feedback i need to be creative and improve how I can minimize this part.

And to answer your question why mirrorless cameras are good - one "good" attribute that mirrorless camera have is its compact design meaning easy to carry compared to its mirrored counterpart which is bigger and bulky. Mirrorless cameras are capable of capturing great images but familiarity with your camera will play a big part. When you know your camera more, your skill set in capturing images will also improve.

I'm not a pro by the way, I consider myself a beginner in photography though.

attached image of my dog i took the other day as sample image to one of my content.. camera setting- Aperture priority, f/6.3, ISO-Auto, Compensation +1/3, WB- Auto, Single point AF

Thanks for your reply.

I try to check websites on both mobile and desktop. Had I seen the website in my desktop, I would have seen the sticky...grin.

I have both, the mirrorless Fuji X E3 and an older mirrored Nikon D3500. In my profile, you can see my photo portfolio.

The mobile layout was spot on, by the way.

Nice shot of your dog...

Hi there,

Sorry for the tardiness.

I looked at your website while on my desktop, and found a few things I wanted to bring to your attention.

First, your blog page is shown as your home page.

On the menu, when I clicked on 'blog', that opened to an Oops, page not found.

HOW TO FIX: (See enclosed Image to follow)

Go to Settings, click on READING.

This is what people will see when they come to your site.

Your HomePage displays
Your latest posts

Or

A static page

If you select 'static page', you have the option to select a 'page' from the dropdown menu. In this image, you will see that I have 'About' selected as the static home page.

Beneath, you will see Posts.
This is where your posts will be seen.

By default, the blog posts will always align with the blog page.

Or, your posts will never be seen under this layout.

Select Home, or about for your Page, and then under posts, select your BLOG page.

Now, all of your blogs wi appear on your blog page.

Plus, you need an Affiliate Disclosure page.

Thanks, Rowe.
Right now, as a new website, nobody but google has seen your pages. We have plenty of time to work out the kinks, and make any improvements that we may need down the road.

Right now, you only have to concern yourself with getting your website filled with content...grin.

There will come a day when you know exactly what you want to change, and will be able to do so.

Thanks Rudy i will fix this while figuring out how I can add another page that will exhibit blogs about photographs of our mirrorless cameras which in part also related to my niche and could generate traffic as well.

Appreciated all the help!

Hello everyone, would love to get your insights on my website and latest blog. I finally added an affiliate link to my blog. I was procrastinating forever to do this and then when I did, it was not that bad and would love any feedback.

Joanne, I especially enjoyed/appreciated/made a record of ... the quotes in your "When Does the 4th Quarter Begin" blog post.

Your articles are very practical and helpful and I imagine they will be passed on easily by folks who read them and think about other folks who could benefit from reading them, also.

I know it's early days, but the site tagline is still showing "Just another WordPress site" up at the top. Some of your posts still say posted by "admin" rather than "Joanne", which could be intentional. It would be good to add specific categories rather than showing the posts as "uncategorized". These are minor details right now.

Otherwise, your content is what stands out on your site. It should be a very helpful site to people moving forward! I will be interested in reading more of your articles as you add them. Great job!!!

Sincerely,

Phil

Hi Joanne, some really nice articles about positive thinking. And it make sense that these kind of reading materials are propagating in the internet because many people will need them for check and balance.

Just some minor concern and as already pointed out by Phil your site identity is showing "Just Another Wordpress Site" .. you can edit this easily, either remove it or change with another tagline that suits your niche. I think its better you fix this as soon as possible because it will leave some not so good impression to your visitors.

Also,I would suggest you disable/uncheck the "allow comment" on your privacy policy page... just my opinion.

Howdy from Nashville!

I am working on the initial stages of my website. It's pretty plain at this point, especially given the niche, but I would appreciate your feedback.

https://chicklidz.com

I appreciate it!

Phil

P.S. If interested ... there's a story behind the site, which you can view in my "Why..." post. This has probably clouded my judgment in terms of getting more specific, niche-wise, but at least for this site, my heart is leading me in this direction. Probably not best for business purposes, but we already had the domain name so I decided to continue on. I hope to make the best of what I have in this site using what I learn here on WA since this will not likely be my only site.

I will more than likely tighten things up with a more defined and related niche later which definitely makes sense. The wisdom of the WA training here is helping me to see that! Thank you all!
