About Jvranjes

Hi, my name is Jovo. I am a theoretical physicist with a PhD in plasma physics theory. Apart form physics, I am passionate about mountain climbing and classical music.
Normally, I use computer and the Internet for everyday work, but I have joined WA without any previous knowledge about how to make a website and to start a business online.
From what I have seen so far, WA has a lot to offer to people like me, so I signed-up for a year as a premium member. I believe in hard work, in this activity like in any other walk of life, so I do not dream about overnight success. Good luck to all of you, see you around.

Hiya, Jovo - Wow Plasma Physics Theory - is there much demand? I expect CERN quite likes Plasma in theory - just until they go and invent a really, really big black hole when they put a decimal place in the wrong bit.

I've worked with computer sales teams and websites for decades and you are correct in what you say. Hard work and more hard work always. Salesmen may talk rubbish but they are always busy working hard.

I can promise you the training here at WA is the best available for anyone who wants a WordPress based site for a blog, club, shop or whatever - the plug-ins are amazing and can do almost everything these days - we accept Bitcoin via a plugin.

WP is used by some of the biggest companies on the planet so if you want to develop an online platform complete the WA training - you've got a whole year or so and that's more than enough time to get you going.

It's such a shame that the lessons here are not taught in universities across the world - especially in 3rd world countries.

All the very best.

Hello Jovo!

Have seen you around in the community some time now and finally I'm here saying hello. I'm following you now. I think you give good comments and helpful tips.

You've got a very interesting profession. Do you write books about plasma physics and doing researches in this huge topic?

Wish you all the best and great success within the online business!

Hi Jovo, I have joined recently. I can see you have been a member for over 2 years now and I am impressed to see you are already an Ambassador, considering you started with no previous knowledge about websites and online business. That is very encouraging for me, to see that hard work does pay dividends online. Keep up the good work! Nice to meet you.

You answered my question about the missing about me page on my website and I went to check out your suggestion but before I did that I clicked on all pages and the on the about me page and clicked on view and it went to the website and it was there. Then I came back to my admin page and clicked on visit site at the top of the page and then it was gone again. Is that weird or what? After I thought about your suggestion I remembered I had gone where you had told me and replaced my page with a saved one previously.

Novo, I've followed you as I am trying to follow all ambassadors as a beginning and and an inspiration/goal to become one myself. PLEASE, drop the occasional post about theoretical physics!! I am too many years from my own, more practical training in physics (US Navy nuclear power plant operator/Sturgeon class fast submarine)(FWIW, my boat was in the book "Hunt for Red October": the USS Pogy SSN 647). I love, LOVE, BREAKING PHYSICS news and appreciate any you could share!

Hi Jovo....
I just wanted to introduce myself, my name is Stephan and I’ve been involved in Real Estate Investing the last 9 years and just want a change. Tired of Tenants’, Toilets and Real Estate programs that just nickel and dime you to death : 0(
I was checking out another Internet Marketing Program on line that promised you the world in 3 months so I googled it & found out it was a SCAM but in return the guy that wrote the scam article redirected me to WA and I’m so glad he did. I REALLY LIKE WHAT I SEE!!!!
I’m looking forward to working with WA & the Community to make WA my full time job. Saying that I have no previous IM experience, I’m very excited to see where this JOURNEY will take me!!!!
Hope to see you around,

Hi Jovo, thank you for your tutorial on Website Image Optimization.

I've been following it...and this is what i put in for an image on my post.

Caption: Feel like you’re not feeling appreciated?

Alternative Text: Tired working for someone else (this is the complete name of my post, they're my keywords)

Under Display Settings:

Link To: Custom URL …(I copied and pasted my post URL so that if someone clicks into the image it takes them back into the same post)

Image Title Attribute: Is it time to make some changes

**Does the information above seem correct?
**Where do I enter the image filename?

Thanks Jovo...hope I'm understanding all this...
Reply
jvranjes Premium
Sorry for slow reply.
**Nor really, I would suggest that you look again my training.
***The image file name is the name under which you saved the image in your computer and then added it to media library.

Title should be with dashes. You can use an alternative keyword phrase here.

Caption is supposed to describe the picture, I do not know what in your picture is, so cannot say more. The same holds for AltText.
Reply
mbouteiller Premium
Lol...arrrggg....thank you Jovo! Thought I understood it, ok, i'm going back to your training again. I really appreciate your help!
Reply
jvranjes Premium
You will make a mess if you start changing image file names that are already in the library. Forget it. Do properly with new figures. But you can add keywords where possible, I wrote instructions about that. If you use it in AltText then do not use in caption, and vice versa. This would have negative effect. Use some alternative, tag words.
Reply
mbouteiller Premium
Hi Jovo...Ok....ummm, I get it. I only changed 2 image file names and did that by deleting the images from my content and uploaded my original images. Still did it wrong anyway..decided to take a break from it. Oh my...lol...

Yep...I'm going back to your tutuorials...and then just add keywords where possible.

Thanks again...I somehow tend to make things more complicated than I need to...I appreciate your help and especially you getting back to me!!

Hi Jovo

You asked a question on the WA Platform about whether WA was becoming a spamming community, and I tried to check in on the discussion, but could not locate it at all. I had a warning from Microsoft about a huge number of spamming emails and I am getting concerned that this might be happening? Hope not, as I have really enjoyed being here, even if I haven't achieved much (due to too much else happening in my life!). So, just taking it easy here for now, and keeping my hand in when I can.

Hi Katharina, this is interesting what you are writing because one other member also contacted my saying he could not get to my blog. He in fact commented and then when I replied he could not come back again. So I checked now and realize that my blog is not there any longer, obviously removed by WA owners.

In the blog I pointed out that the WA rules about spamming were missing. In the end it turned out that those rules were removed by Kyle by mistake. So he reacted by saying that rules are back where they were before, and I assume he removed my blog as unnecessary after that.
Reply
katzee Premium
Thanks for the explanation, Jovo. Well, you did a service to WA by highlighting that the rules were missing. Spamming so quickly fills any voids, and your blog struck a chord with me as only the other day, Microsoft disabled my email which I also use for WA, due to an influx of what they considered spammy material. I had to give permission to accept the emails, and there was nothing unusual, apart from the large number of WA emails, as well as a number of unsolitcited emails which are too numerous (but even collectively, are fewer than the WA emails) for me to unsuscribe all at once, so I tend to let them keep drifting in. I will probably have to bulk delete everything shortly. I don't want to turn off the WA emails, but the number of them is a bit overwhelming sometimes.

Hi Jovo. I just looked at your site and started thinking mountain climbing looks like something I could get into someday after I get my website profitable that is :). I just thought I would tell you that on your page http://mountainsforeverybody.com/how-to-start-mountain-climbing I did notice one spelling error. Hi Jvranjes, I am wondering if you can shed me some light on how to google index my individual post by wordpress. I attempted to request a meta tags from google with my individual post links but it seems to pass me the same exact metatag. i'm a bit lost.

Many thanks, Carrie.
Reply
jvranjes Premium
Do not understand what you mean by requesting meta tags from Google.

To index your posts you have first to have your site indexed and this you have in Kyle's lessons, Certifications, Courses, somewhere in the beginning. I cannot go through this with you, you have it there every step. After that you just publish and job is done. You can fetch as Google to speed up the process, this is in Webmaster, Crawl.

Hi Jovo, I look forward to following you. I see you have been here for awhile. Great to see....I hope to accomplish many things here, like what you have done here. Good for you!!

I'm in Lesson 8 Bootcamp Phase 1 and confused so went back to lesson 4 on Keywords, SEO and trying to figure that out.

Questions:

So, for each page, blog post, article....do all these things mean the same?

Where do I setup keywords and are keywords different for each page?

I think i enter my keywords in when i create a new page, blog post, article....like in the title and description....is that correct?

Thank you Jovo! I wish you the best in 2016!

Hi, thanks for the wishes, all the best to you too. About your questions:
Pages are mainly for evergreen content and posts more personal views about things. In a site you have either posts or pages. Blog is the term used for a post as well. Texts people publish here at WA are called blogs.

Keywords: yes, different for each article. Where to put: I suggest see these texts from my site:

Thank you for this:
"I wonder why 5. It seems you are speaking about meta keywords in the SEO part of the editor. Is so then leave it empty, Google does not use this any longer. But you can use tags on the right, there is a tab for that (only for posts, not for pages)."

I saw the SEO boxes empty so I filled them LoL
All of my recipes are pages not posts. Should I change this in order to use Tags? Does google look at tags?

Thanks - Sadie ⌘

There is no harm in having it filled in, it is just that it is not used.

You do not have to change pages into posts, I have many pages myself, more than 60. But if you want to have categories and tags for pages then there is a plugin for that, I started using it not so long ago: But I am not so sure that it really makes difference.

Now I understand what you asked. Well, you will see at sites of more clever people that they put stuff under subscription key. I still suffer a bit form the lack of concept. But you would be surprised, there are over 200 criteria for ranking. I give some 25 or so in one list and a few more in another text for images, so probably around 40 in total.

Guess what Jovo. I have spent all day trying to choose a new theme. I finally selected on WeaverII. Once I installed it I got a noticed to install WeaverII Admin. (Weaver II 2.1.12 Options) That Admin allows you to pick a subtheme. One of the subthemes is Twenty Ten.

"Weaver II gives you extreme control of your WordPress blog appearance using the different admin tabs here. This tab lets you get a quick start by picking one of the many predefined subthemes. Once you've picked a starter theme, use the Main Options and Advanced Options tabs to tweak the theme to be whatever you like.

After I loaded Weaver as a changed theme I was able to set twenty ten as a subtheme in the Admin and all my stuff came up as before and looks like twenty ten. Some how I got a messed up Menu, so I am working on that. Plug-in and page layouts remained the same.

Any questions you can PM me. SherryV
