Will try again this morning with Rakuten. However I was reading a post last night on Rakuten that wasn't very favourable. How are you finding them? Be careful with joining rakuten affiliate program! PS Its raining here again today
Paula
I quite enjoy a good drenching when the fish is ripe:)

PS cloudy with the threat.
Good day for office work :)

I started a website and have a couple of pages and two posts on it. I would like to delete all the content and start again. Can I do this even though it has been indexed on G
Yes Paula,
If you want to remove the content and start over, you can do so.
If you want to make Google happy, here's what Google suggests: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en
However, if your content was not ranking on page 1, personally, I wouldn't worry about it. If you were moving the content that would be different, but you simply want to delete it.
Hope you find this helpful.
Thank you for your reply. I looked into the link you sent and feel i dont have enough content to justify going through that process. I guess Im on page 200+ on googles searches as it is a very new site with not alot of relevant content. - an about me page, a privacy policy page and 1 content post. I think I will just edit the about me page and delete the content post.
Thanks for your help
Paula
Apologies for taking a long time to reply - had to go to work. Anyways I purchased a domain name which I like and started using it for a niche. I now feel that the domain name suits another niche better and would like to start over on the same domain name with new content.

In the training I learnt about site content and how to write your posts/pages in this platform. I then uploaded it to my website and all my layouts changed. So then I started
Hey Paula,
Carson explains this in his introduction of SiteContent when it was new: SiteContent - Great Content Starts With a Powerful Writing Platform! and now SiteContent users have another bonus for using SiteContent, explained here: SiteContent Images is Here! Over 1,000,000 Optimized Images. Hope you find this helpful.
Paula,
I used to have the same problem just kept playing and next
thing you know it started to work out for me no hidden
secrets or anything I think you need to mark the image before
uploading it left center right and then it stays put :)
Always add your images in between the paragraphs otherwise the placement gets messed up.
You're going to need this video in less than 2 weeks Integrate Site Content with Gutenberg
thanks once again Marion for your help. Will watch the video when I get back from work this afternoon.
Paula
Hi Marion
I think I just learnt the hard way - why to add your images between the paragraphs. I did not heed your warning and placed all images to the right of my instructions on site content. when I published it to my site - you guessed it - they all went haywire.
I should have taken your word for it. LOL
Paula
and thanks for the heads up.
I personally feel that because I use so many of my own photos, Wordpress is more user friendly.
Im not sure which way to go as by using wordpress I end up with gramatical errors but my own images are where I want them to be.
Using Site content I can spell and grammar check....
Perhaps one option would be to do all the text in site content - upload to wordpress and then add in some images there?
Paula
That was exactly what I used to do. I have purchased Grammarly, so that is what I use in Wordpress. Because I use so many photos, I like to place them first and then write, so this is why I use Wordpress.
I just went and had a good look around in Site content and found this video walkthrough link in the top right. Wish i had seen this earlier. SiteContent - The Complete Walkthrough It does explain everything....
However, I still need to figure out how to add personal images....
Paula
About "I read in someones blog yesterday that you dont get ranked by google as fast if you do it in Wordpress."
This makes no sense, whoever said this has mixed things badly. I have never used SiteContnt and posts are ranked sometimes in seconds, the fastest documented was 8 seconds. You do not need SiteContent.
Merlyn done a good job not much I can add.I also do as he does the extra step.
Blessings

Hi Paula - You've got most of them. Site Content has a spell and grammar checker. It also optimises images.
However, the layout will not be the same as what you see in Wordpress OR what you see on your live site. Most themes have a variable width so you can resize the window and the text and images move so you don't lose any when you change the size of the windoiw. However, this varies from theme to theme.
To add images, what I do is to look at my live site at what I think is the sort of size a reader will use - obviously this is variable! - see where I want the image to go, then insert it in Wordpress.
I will add that I optimise my mages in my own way and not through Sit Content. Image optinisation is essential for good page speed.
Hope taht helps a bit,
Ian
Thank you. I was thinking the same... Start using site content to write my posts and then insert my own images in wordpress editor, after I have run them through Canva (which i am currently trying to use - though not 100% happy with)
Will keep working on the easiest way to add content to my sites.
Thanks
Paula
Great questions!
The difference - Site Comments is tied directly into the WA structure. Things like tracking when you're indexed and being able to search for and use the images that come free with your membership are tied to it. An example would be clicking on the mountain icon in Site Content and then typing in a search term and getting presented with all the images that match that term. You don't get that directly in WordPress.
Advantages - see above but also add the word and paragraph count, templates to setup your posts as you'd like them to be and buckets to organize them as you're working on them (although I'd say categories in WP works the same). Another biggie is, if you put the images in Site Content vs adding them later in WP, when you publish, they will be optimized and uploaded to your WP media vault vs simply uploading them which does not optimize them.
That's a tough one. I don't notice mine moving around but i do notice that I get the full size and no option to choose thumbnail or medium, etc. I still upload it using publish and then go and edit it by removing them and then adding them from my media vault and selecting the size I want. It's an extra step but I think it's worth it just for the image optimization feature.
I hope this helps.
Hi and thank you for your quick response. I think I will make an effort to learn how to get site content working for me. My images are always my own photographs - so i go through Canva to edit them before I upload to WP. Will try this system into Sitecontent.
As I have a few posts now made in Wordpress - is there an easy way to take them into Site content?

Hi Paula,
Refresh your browser and try again. I would imagine too many of us are calling on the scripts at the same time. I've had this happen from time to time and when I refresh and click on the links again, all is displayed.
Hope this helps you.
It’s been doing that for me too. So I hit the refresh button and it gives be a bunch of QSR.
