I have received several emails urging me to try it out. Has anyone tried this website monetization platform? I have been using Google Adsense and am curious if this might be a

Hi, Colleen

My guitar site has close to 10,000 visitors per month now, so I have been thinking about adding Ezoic.

I decided against it because of the server issue discussed below and spammy ad placements.

If I can get 10,000 visits then I can get 50,000, so I’ll wait and then join Mediavine.

I want to monetize it right and I’m in no particular hurry. The quality of the user experience is more important to me.

Frank

Good call, also some people…like me , detests advertising. Not for any anti capitalist rant but generally just for the aesthetics. I just detest the look of it. I’ve spent all this time getting my site lookin good, only for someone else to come and Stuff it up.

Stephen

Exactly, Stephen!

I only use the Adsense sticky (anchor) ad on my site, so it doesn't make more than a couple of bucks a day.

I have the same low ad tolerance so I'm sensitive to that when it comes to my site visitors.

Check this out, Colleen! Jeff

first of all: you need to leave WA's server, which seems like a hassle to me.
I have tried it though, while still being here in WA, because I was unaware of this issue.
This was last summer.
The procedure is very complicated and takes a lot of your time to figure it all out.
Then I noticed that there was a lot of publicity on my website when using their software, so I had to remove a lot.
I thought this was going to be ok then, turned out that their AI system put all those adds back and I didn't check it out.
This put ALL of their ads back on my website and it looked horribly overwhelming! Plummeted my website speed and traffic and earnings.
By that time, I was so frustrated that I just asked them to delete the whole bunch and I went back to Google AdSense for now.
WHile the earnings are better on Ezoic, I am never working with them again!

Thanks for sharing your experience.
I am so hesitant to try Ezoic for this reason.

you're welcome!

Actually, you don’t need to leave the server any more. They would like you too, but you don’t have too. Not unless they have changed policy yet again.

Another WA member discussed this yesterday. You will have to change your WA servers. Its complicated process but the person explains how it works in search box type ezoic you will see blog post about it.

thank you Brenda!

Is anyone else getting incredibly long strings of x-rated keyword spam on their website? They are well over 3000 words, and it is getting ridiculous. I realize there are ways o

Thank you all for your comments. I have had this site for almost 4 years and these disgusting spam emails keep getting more and more sophisticated.
I guess what I was trying to say, is you would think that there would be a way of keeping them out, as it is just a string of keywords with no sentence structure.
Thanks, again.

I get the odd one every now and then.

Colleen, I have been getting a lot of that and it has only been directed at a particular review that I wrote a few weeks back.

Eventually, those idiots will get bored and move on to someone else.

Mick

Hey Colleen,

After suffering with them, I made sure to turn on SiteProtection (Spam Blocker) under details of EACH WA hosted website. See screen print below...

I still get the odd one, but not NEARLY as many as my other sites that are hosted elsewhere. Sites hosted on other servers all need a plugin to stop that abuse.

Hope you find this helpful.

I get every now and then, mark as spam & delete.

I am drawing a blank. On the website, you are able to create buttons of various sizes and colors to insert into a post. Does anyone have a clue? Thank you!

Here's one you may like.
