Hello,

I'm Scarlett and I'm Elaine .We have been taking care of hospice patients for a combined total of over 70 years .Everyone has a calling and ours has been caregiving.

Being a caregiver to others loved ones is very rewarding.Whether it's someone's Mom, Dad, brother ,sister, or partner .Its an awesome privilege.

Every person has different needs and illness. Every person will touch your life in some way. Every once in a while one of those same patients will be one of life's daily inspiration.

We recently lost a patient a patient whom we both just loved .She was one of the sweetest people we had ever met.

Even though she was bed bound , no longer able to play the organ or read , she never once complained. She had the cutest smile and always had a kind word .

We will always remember her inspiring us to be kind and caring even when we don't feel like it .

With decades of being caregivers there are many stories to tell and share which we hope will inspire others to live life to the fullest .

Hi Elaine & Scarlett,

I'm told assisting patients as they prepare for their transitions is a special occurrence. Many memorable & mystifying things may occur during this time. For some it is a time when fetters are discarded & true selves emerge. It must be wonderful to witness these transformations.

Best wishes for success at WA,

Hi Scarlett and Elaine!
Thank you for following me! I followed back! Thank you so much for being such dedicated caregivers! It is not always easy but has its own reward!
I worked in Health Care for a little over 10yrs and can still remember...
Although each day may have brought with it a new challenge, it was well worth the effort!
Making people smile, laugh, hope...
Giving away comfort in the most trying of circumstances for FREE...
You two have given up yourselves (combined 70yrs)...
UNSELFISHLY!!!
All the best to you ( Scarlett and Elaine) in WA! Looking forward to reading your blogs!!!

Thanks for sharing. I really appreciate and respect those caregivers and their hard works for helping people who has need, especially for the young kids and elders who lost ability for taking care self. Only A group of people can be caregivers who must like to dedicate kind, love and patience to the patients. The things they did looks ordinary but actually great. being a caregiver for over 70 years, You are something. Best wish for finding success in WA.

Hello Elaine and Scarlett,

I didn't realize you were two people until I read your profile! Welcome to WA and thanks for the follow. I am wishing you both much success in meeting our goals as you journey through WA.

Your profile was ironic, to say the least. Since you read my bio you are aware that I have been the caregiver for many of my family members. Unfortunately, I have been just recently placed back into that position.

I have an elderly Aunt, whom I love very deeply who is now in home hospice. It is very difficult to watch as your loved ones slowly deteriorate.

I am the go-to-person in my family and I feel I have to stay strong for them. However, I am older now and have issues of my own, which makes this more of a struggle than it has been in the past.

But, as always, with my faith in God, I will get through this life-changing event as well.

I know what it takes to be a caregiver so I thank you for being the kind of people who are willing to give of themselves to others.

We are proud hospice is caring for your Aunt, and yes it is hard. Please practice self care. Being the go to person can carry a lot a weight/ pressure.

We are pleased to hear that you have faith in God indeed !

Thanks, Elaine and Scarlett.

Today I met with the hospice social worker and the nurse assigned to my aunt. They are both lovely people and I liked them right away. The nurse will come at least once a week (more if needed) and an aide will come twice a week. That will be a big help to me.

Absolutely! My faith is very important to me. It has carried me through so much in my lifetime. I know that God has my back always!.

Take care and have a safe and enjoyable July 4th.

Hello Scarlet and Elaine,

well first of Thank You for the follow!! Really.
My mom pasted away in a hospice in Europa, and that was a very sad day for me and my dad, who just recently passed away also.

You guys do tremendous work! Thank you so much to take care of people who dont have to much time left and can not take care of themselves.
My mom was a nurse and she always cared for me and was probably the best mom in the world!
My dad did not want me there when she passed away, since her immune system collapsed and she was not really herself anymore, and my dad just wanted me to remember her as I always KNEW her, and not how she passed on...to a better place!

So Thank you for doing this. As you said it was/is your calling!
Have a wonderful time here and I am sure you can inspire and HELP people who need your support, before and after.

All the BEST!!
I am also following you.

There is a famous quote from Mark Twain:

"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."

And that just means - do your hardest task first or at least as soon as you can in the morning. If you do this then the rest of your day is easy from there!

ANYWAY…

Hi Elaine nice to meet you. I am Rob Vela from New York City. After reading about your backround in your profile i was inspired to write & tell you about this.
Would this be of interest to you & may i send you the link to this super cool website of mine?
If you are anything like me you like to be independent and dont like to be told what to do nor how to do it. You are your own boss & you call and make your own shots. I like to do that with my health care options too. It is pretty cool to fire your doctor and stop taking his or her toxic poisonous medications and regaining your own health yourself.

I found a new fresh water product that give you better control of your own health. Hence, it will give you the healing power of improving your health while helping you see less of your doctor. Less office visits for you and me. It is like finding a new fresh water fountain with natural healing powers. Now that is pretty cool dont you agree?

You also gain the opportunity to create a free shopping membership for this very special product and have it pay you health benefits as well as nice large residual income commission checks by sharing the infirmation about the sale of this item. Simply share this information with other people. Let the product testimonials on the website itself do the work of selling the product that should be able to sell itself.

Do you see an opportunity for yourself and others you would like to share this with other people? There is plenty of room to grow and profit well here. Other people who you attract this offer to will love you for it. May i have your permisiion to send you the link to this intrresting website of mine?

Hello Elaine and Scarlett,
Thanks very much for following me. I'm now following you back.

Thank you also for sharing your inspiring story and for your many years of wonderful service to humanity. I can relate very well to your mission because my wife is a retired Registered Nurse and, during a number of years before retiring, she was a hospice nurse/case manager for a regional hospice agency serving northwestern Minnesota (which included a Native American Indian reservation).

Through her, I learned so much about the hospice care mission and the tremendously positive impact it has on the patients and their families. It takes a very special person to become a hospice caregiver. I and many others have come to regard them as the 'angels among us'. They truly deserve our respect and admiration for the very challenging, yet rewarding, calling that they've answered.

Best wishes to both of you for a successful experience here at WA. Please let me know if I can ever assist you in the future.

Warm regards,
Dave

Thank you for your follow and thank you for your service to the community, we have had hospice several times through the years, and I have to say to all of you, that there is no other group of caregivers that come into our lives, at the worst time ever and bring us through.

We just lost my uncle about 3 weeks ago, and had the kindest, most understanding people, do so much more than just give bath's and med's, and take care of the patient, they also took care of us as they have done so many times before.

In the last several years we have lost many of our family members, and with about 5 of them hospice has been there, I just can't tell you how much all of the hospice caregiver's are loved among our family.
Again Thank you and Best Wishes VickiG

Scarlett and Elaine this is one touching bio! I have worked in the medical and mental health field for almost 20 years. I have seen the good the bad and the ugly in both fields. From personal experience I have watched two great women in my life, my Granny and my Aunt Helen, take a horrible turn for the worst and I saw their lives slip away slowly and horribly over several years. It is so hard to watch a loved one go through this process. Thank you for being the kind of people who love and care for those who really need it.

Hi Scarlett and Elaine

Thank you so much adding me to your follow list, I've added you two ladies to mine as well.

Your bio brings calm and peace to my spirit. I even got a bit teary-eyed when you mentioned that sweet lady, patient, passing on. I have a 78-year-old mother that I care for and she's still strong and moving around.

You ladies are angels from heaven for giving of yourselves the way you both have. Now you're here in WA to give some more of yourselves. Can someone please bring me a tissue! boy! can you feel the love!

I'm more than certain you ladies will truly bring a lot more than just experience. I know because I can already feel it from just reading your post.

Don't hesitate to ask me any questions. I'd be more than honored to help in any way that I can. We have a community of amazing people just waiting to lend a helping hand.

Best wished to you, Scarlett and Elaine.

Be safe and God bless you and keep you with Him

Hi Elaine,.Thank for your following note and I will be following now.
I love the way you see yourself as a privileged person to have the opportunity to fulfill your life mission by helping others.
I believe it is a privilege to have caregivers as you both are and to me, it is a pleasure to meet somebody that is so much concern about the other's wellbeing.

Thank you for adding me to your network Elaine! Your gracious heart will take you far, as you have probably some of the most amazing knowledge based on your experience with working in caregiving!

My son became a caregiver right after college! He majored in Psychology and as he cares for my mother, his grandmother daily, he also is a behavioral counselor to children with Autism. He values everything he does, and says caregiving has made him feel good as a human and helps him to improve each day in his position as a counselor.

Wealthy Affiliate is a great place to be and you have all the amazing brains behind this platform to create a great spot on the Internet. I have met many people here and everyone has so much to share and help to make your experience here rewarding. Wish you all the best in your journey!

Thank you for the follow! I will follow you too! I read your bios and may I say you both have "touched" me!

I think of my Mom when I read your story of a dear friend you have loved and missed. My Mom was nowhere close to her personality.
She stood 4'-9" and had a steel hand when comes to discipline.

But she made us my 3 brothers and sister into what I feel are respectable citizens today. Sniff, sniff.....memories are coming back to me.

Anyways thank you for the follow again Elaine!

Hi ladies - thanks for the follow
A "specialty" of caring for hospice patients is remarkable. You are greatly appreciated by those in your care.
I am an Australian, a Rotarian & past president of our club whom are assisting children with education in Phuket Thailand, particularly children of construction workers from Myanmar. Likewise, I get so much pleasure & enjoyment when a young child smiles back at me.
I get inspired each time I visit a school & see how happy the children are.

Well done Scarlett & Elaine

Scarlett<>Elaine.

Such a wonderful profile. I am inspired by you sharing
these details of your lives. Those whom you are in caregiving of, are truly fortunate to have you for such an important stage of life.

There are many ways of changing ones view of life's circumstance but I think no better than by giving of ourselves, our skills, our time, to another in need. In giving we become as refreshed and nourished as those who receive, a bond with
this energy, strengthening our common well-being...truly brilliant!

My sincere gratefulness for all you create by these
attitudes and devotion...I look forward to learn more about those
in your care by future post and comments.

Respectfully David

Scarlett<>Elaine,
Wonderful profile and it is a gift to have the two of you here sharing your story.

There are always opportunities to alter the way we view life's circumstance but I can think of no greater than the role of giving comfort to another in need. By these simple acts in kindness an energy evolves that is as vitalizing for us, as those who receive.

I look forward to hearing more of the sweetest people in your care and other thoughts you might give to this process. May you continue to be blessed.

With respect and admiration, David

Thank you for following me, ladies! Here's a newbie tip from a fellow newbie. Go to the rank button under your profile and follow at least 25-50 of the top members listed there. You will then be part of their network and receive their training, tips and help. Blessings for your life of service as caregivers, especially to those at the end of their life. Whenever I feel like I have something to complain about, I think of those who are right now, struggling with life itself. You ladies are angels for doing what you do.
