About Joshua2765
Joined December 2016
I am returning to WA after a lengthy absence due to some health issues. For about three months, I was actually legally blind with vision acuity of about 20/400 in both eyes. However, thanks to the miracle of modern medicine, my vision has partially returned and is improving over time. Unfortunately, I am still dealing with other health issues that will continue to slow my progress; however, I am determined that they don't stop me completely.

I am an avid reader and enjoy a variety of literary genres. Music is another area of interest; contemporary jazz being my favorite. Musically, I am "old-school" and recently purchased a phonograph player to listen to my modest vinyl collection.

I am looking forward to interacting with other like-minded individuals here at WA as we encourage one another to bigger and better successes.

Greetings, Joshua!

I have gotten behind in reaching out to my new followers, so I wanted to take a few days to catch up and say thank you for adding me to your network.

Well, we have 2 things in common: a love for reading and "old-school" music.

All the best as you continue to develop and grow your online business, Joshua.

Hello Joshua, thank you for the follow.

I know that all I have are your words and photo to go by, but i get the feeling that you are a strong, motivated individual, especially when you are someone who continues to fight for your own health, which I know at times can be a struggle and a huge strain on the physical and emotional health.

If you ever have any questions or need someone to just vent to, I am always here!!

Good luck Joshua on this WA adventure, I would love to follow you back.

Thanks for those kind words, Heather.

Speaking of being "strong" and "motivated," I am convinced that you are, as well. Being a single mom of two kids is no picnic, although it does have its rewards. I was a single dad with two kids while living in West Germany as a US Air Force member, so I am familiar with some of what it takes. It wasn't easy, but I would not trade that time for anything.

Also, don't be surprised if I take you up on your offer. Although I initially joined back in 2016, I still consider myself a newbie since I had that long down period.

Thanks, and continued success,

Joshua

Thank you for that compliment Joshua. I have had to be strong throughout the years, however, I find that my children were my biggest blessing. They taught me how to persevere even through the toughest of times!!

Thank you, Taresa. The quality of my vision fluctuates based on several factors, but overall, is on an upward trend. To keep it that way, I must undergo injections in both eyes every 5 weeks or so to maintain my vision. Sounds bad but is relatively painless.

By the way, that's a very unique spelling of your name. Is it pronounced the same as "Theresa" or is the sound of the "a" more emphatic?

Anyway, glad to make your acquaintance here on WA. Hope to see you around the community.

Continued success,

Joshua

Hi Joshua!
Thank you for adding me to your network. I am following you back.

It was good to read that you are feeling better.

I also like to read... it is interesting how we take these things for granted and only when something happens to you or to somebody else you realize how important these things are (like being able to see).

I hope that you will get completely better soon and will enjoy life to its fullest.

I wish you a great day and keeping in touch,

Ina :)

Joshua, don't let anything get you down. An attitude of gratitude is always your strongest operating state of mind. Well, I might not be able to do that yet, but it's coming. Soon now, and I see myself doing that really, really well! And be thankful.
My friend Suzay told me to get an amino acid. It's name is glutathione. In the normal eye there is much of it. The eye is perhaps the greatest consumer of it, and needs it to recover and be healthy. It's also found in beets, parsley, garlic, spinach, cruciferous veggies. Hey Joshua, don't miss even one sweet little beet. Here is to your recovery!

Thanks for the tips, Suzay,

I already eat plenty of those items. In fact, I love spinach and beets along with broccoli, Brussels sprouts, carrots, and sweet potatoes.

I'll have to work on garlic and parsley, though.

Garlic and parsley, you are funny Joshua! but I agree some are hard to get a taste for, so keep trying to get more plants on your plate.
Mmm, cilantro, tastes like soap until you get a taste for it. It;s cousin to parsley. It's seeds taste bright and lemony and used in India foods. That is called coriander. Try some ground up and put on chicken.
Parsley is high in vitamin A, but carrot juice is so sweet also. Beta carotene can go either way in the vitamin A cycle, depending on what your body needs. Have a great time with it!
Maybe juicing is an option for you. Look at youtube.
Joshua the Ninja Warrior. Yes! ;>) Best wishes Joshua, take care of those eyes.

Hello Joshua... I am glad you are doing better and you are back with Wealthy Affiliate. I am also looking to be as productive as I can, one day at a time. My roommate is a blues jazz, and jazz fusion musician. He composes with four guitars and a keyboard. He is also an avid reader. I am more of a doer more than I am a reader. I can read for information, but not as much for pleasure. I am afraid I'm going to miss something.

I to am an avid book reader, sometimes 1 every two days if I get some free time. My idea of a vacation is going somewhere even if it's the back deck and relaxing by reading as many books as possible.
I too am a jazz fan, really almost any music works for me. Grew up with the classics, loved the "real music" of the 50's, 60's, 70's, country music works for me too! Love the idea of a phonograph, something great about vinyls.
Wishing you much success!

Hello Joshua,
Thank you for your following note .
Unfortunately life bring us some surprises and you got one of those surprises on your vision but now you getting better by the day, this is great news . As you say you are determined to achieve your objectives and this triggers a lot positive thoughts and helps you to overcome anything that blocks you from your desired destination.
Regarding Jazz and Blues I like jazz most even though the only two names that I can remember are Louis Armstrong and BB king I would hear anything from both .
I would place my resume on your hands for your examination if approved you got me as the person that will encourage you and you will be mine and Joshua I join WA to become a winner boosting each other will bring us always to our goals .

There is a famous quote from Mark Twain:

"If it's your job to eat a frog, it's best to do it first thing in the morning. And if it's your job to eat two frogs, it's best to eat the biggest one first."

And that just means - do your hardest task first or at least as soon as you can in the morning. If you do this then the rest of your day is easy from there!

ANYWAY…

Hello, Joshua thanks for the follow and welcome to WA. You are definitely in the right place!

Welcome back Joshua. Like yourself I am returning after an absence. I wish you prompt and full return to health and vision. Wow that's impressive, a return to vinyl. A man after my heart. Are there particular authors you follow in your literary genres of choice?

I'm in the mold of a Dan Brown/ Clive Cussler/ Robert Ludlum kind of author and I confess it's been too many years since I looked at Shakespeare. However, reading is always learning.

I wish you much joy in all your efforts Joshua. Thank you for the follow.

Thank you for the follow ; ). I am a newbie here and progress through the training is slow. Largely in part due to time restraints of having a very large family. It also doesn't help matters that my computer knowledge is as basic as can be. You are likely more advanced than me for an old school guy lol. I get stuck on technical set up of the blog. But I continue a step at a time when I can. I am also in additional programs as well and reaching out to a younger family member that may offer additional supports to move through the steps. Later employing the talents and skills to build persistent content created by multiple generations.

Hi
Thanks for your follow. I share a similar story with you. I had a major scare a couple of years ago. An accident left me nearly half paralyzed. The doc was uncertain if I will ever walk again. Fortunately, through modern medicine and some determination, I am now walking again. Since then I have always been thankful for the second lease of life given to me even though I am no longer 100%.

Looking back, I am now actually thankful for the incident. You do not know what you have until you almost lost it. It made me more appreciated for life and all that it offers. And I intend to give my all especially to my loved ones and to myself. All the best to you and your family.

It is very good to hear you are recovering, perhaps not as fast as you would like but, progression is a positive step in the right direction to regain your health.

You would get on well with my father. He loves jazz and the big bands and he loved Ella Fitzgerald (his favourite) He was very sad when she died on the 15th June 1996 but my daughter was born on that same day she died on the 16th of June in Australia, as we are one day ahead and that brought a smile to his dial.

Well, Joshua, I wish you the best in all aspects of life and will see you around the circles within WA!!!

I'm a music guy myself and would be interested in who your favorite jazz artist are and any particular albums you enjoy.
My web site niche is on vinyl records and geared to new collectors of vinyl records. I write information articles on care and cleaning of records and all things vinyl record. I do have a turntable review on there as well. I buy and sell vinyl records on eBay and probably have several thousand records in my collection. I am mostly old school 60s thru 80s with a lot of classic rock. I have some jazz but not much as I am just starting to listen to jazz and have not settled in a on a favorite yet. I do like Dave Brubek, some miles davis and john coltrane so thats why I'm interested in what you like.

Look forward to chatting more so take care and I'll chat with you soon I'm sure.

You sound like a kindred spirit, indeed. Miles Davis and John Coltrane are two of my favorites. I also like (in no particular order):

Herbie Hancock
Thelonious Monk
Wynton Marsalis
Sonny Rollins
Stanley Turrentine
Grover Washington Jr.
Chick Corea
Dave Brubeck
Sarah Vaughan
Kenny G
Bob James
Many more...

I like contemporary jazz better, and my all-time favorite album is "Winelight" by Grover Washington Jr. In fact, I'm going to put it on right after I finish this. It's really mellow but has a good tempo that I just love.

However, I actually record my records (the songs/records I like the most) to CD format so I can listen to them in the car. I'm old school. The newer type music doesn't excite me like "old time rock n roll!" lol.
Wa will be the platform that saves all of us "old people" from depending on SS and rocking away in our rocking chairs. I'm not ready for that lifestyle and I hope you are not either.
I look forward to working with you and wish you much good fortune and enjoyment in your online journey.
Ken

Thanks for the follow, wishing you great success on this journey.
I'm glad to hear that your vision is being gradually restored.

My father is now blind due to ignoring the treatment of cataract. He is now 85

What caused your loss of vision and what scientific discovery made the difference?

Thanks, Kav.

It was hard for me to believe, but my main problem stemmed from hypertension that was off-the charts! Blood vessels in the back of the eye swelled and burst, causing blood to leak into the eyes. In addition, the macula had been repositioned because of the swelling, causing even more problems. Plus...I had cataracts in both eyes.

What solved the problems was a combination of surgery, eye drops, and monthly injections of something called, Avastin. And, yes...I did say "INJECTIONS!"

However, it actually sounds worse than it really is--no pain involved!

Continued success!

Joshua

Hi Joshua
I guess I did not believe enough or I would still have my "modest" collection. Went to cassesttes then CD's and wouldnt ya know it they brought back the turn table...I can remember I couldnt find a replacement needle way back in the 90's... lol! Good muxic... so glad your vision has improved and believing your current health issues are gone or better too!

Thanks for the connection.

Hi Joshua; Thanks for your invitation. You were out for three month because of health issues.Thank God you are back. I am down and almost out for almost one year. But I have encouraged myself that challenges are not good enough reason for me to quit. I am still here!!!

Thank you Joshua for the follow and many blessings to you here at WA. When first starting your affiliate marketing website many members have problems coming up with niche ideas.

Probably the one main problem is that people tend to over-think the simple process of finding a niche. Just sit back and look around you. You have niches everywhere. You are even wearing different niches.

Though it is important to fully understand that any niche can be profitable, there are certain niche markets that will be more profitable than others. You might think that the market is saturated but there is plenty of room to earn.

The niches in these 2 types of profitable categories (Evergreen and Passions) are plentiful and broad. Like all niches they will need to be narrow and focused. The more they are, the more profitable they become.

I created a tutorial that explains the differences in these two groups and provide you with many niche and sub niche ideas for each category. If you are having problems choosing a niche, click the link below.

Hello! And welcome to WA! I've been here for about a month and have been doing my best to follow the training. By following the training I've been slowly building up a brand new website. Which I've had no real experience doing and I'm beginning to see some traffic to it. So it's exciting. If I have any advice, it's spend the time to work hard here, complete the training, utilize the community they've created here and most of all, enjoy yourself. Have fun with it.

If you'd like to see the site I've built, understanding that it still needs a lot of work, here it is: www.preparetoact.org
It's based on Women's Safety.

Follow me if you'd like and please use me to answer any questions of provide any help that I can.

Best of luck
Chris

Hi Joshua, thank you for the follow. I'm sorry to hear about your vision issue's, I had bad problems with my left eye 3 years ago. I ruptured a vein and was seeing doubles of everything for almost a half a year before a specialist figured it out and put 4 stents behind it. I am glad to hear that you are back here and able to get back to what you enjoy doing. Take care.

Hey Joshua,

I forgot to mention the other day that I am going to still be offering you my awesome bonuses if you join within the next 4 days.

Here are the bonuses that you are going to be getting:

(1) You are going to get a 59% discount on your first month Premium membership (only $19)
(2) You are going to get personal and private access to me! If you ever have a question or need help with your campaigns, I will be there. Where else can you access the CEO of the company for help?
(3) I am going to be giving you my "Diamond Traffic Bonus". This is going to show you how I walk into absolutely any niche and get unlimited traffic.

But only if you join in the next 4 days (this is what I call my "action takers" bonus).

Anyways, just wanted to mention this. Hope your training is going well Joshua and Reply to this if you do have any “pending” questions. :)

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hey Joshua, just wanted to pop back and see how you are doing? I noticed that you haven't quite set-up your account yet, just wanted to let you know there is a video on how to do this if there is any confusion. Setting up your account will lead to much better help here within the community as people feel like they can connect with you better (with an image and a description)

Just wanted to make sure that all was good and if you do need a hand with anything, just let me know! :)
