Hi Deborah,
Wow... I haven't seen you for a long time.
To answer your question, I'm in a similar boat.
I started updating a lot of my content... my last article was published over 2 years ago and I've heard a lot of other members updating old content. They are updating content on their existing site and apparently, Google likes this.
Hi Deb,
It is possible to revive your old website. If it still exists and even though nothing has been done on it for years.
I am speaking from personal experience. Like you, I had 1 website that I have not done anything for years.
Recently, I decided to revive it, and started to write articles on it.
The traffic, before when I was not doing anything on that website, was low. After I started to add new articles, the traffic improved a little.
I know it will take time for traffic to grow. And for sales to eventually happen.
But that's ok. It is all because I am reviving an old website.
And it is like working on a new website in the sense that I have to start anew - with adding new articles, growing traffic, etc.
Hope this helps.
Tim
Nice to see you again, my friend! I hope all is well! You might also reach out to Site Support here to see if there is anything that can be done too.!

Hi Jeffrey,
Lovely to catch up with you again. Super blessed to know you are still here after all these years. Hope life has been kind to you and yours. Thank you, Jeff.
Thanks, my friend! I'm glad to see that you are still moving along too!
Life has been kind of rough, I must admit, but if it was always good, then it would beome incredibly boring!
Take care, and I wish you all the best. Don't be a stranger!
Jeff🙏
Mostly we need to realize or find our "why" we are doing something, such as Affiliate marketing.
It might be, that a person really doesn't enjoy digitally writting content for their site/s.
I'll tell you truth, I don't like writting content at times, and then again I might enjoy crafting content.
But percentage wise I'm being more and more inclined to just one page websites, ie ( Landing Pages ) because of the extensive writting and what comes with it, like research, editing, then editing again, then chopping and changing... etc.
So I'd suggest that you really take a deep look into why and what you want to acheive.
Example:
I realize about myself, that I want residual income.
How can I go about achieving it?
Through Affiliate marketing?
Yes and No!
Will I do the work?
Yes and No!
Do I enjoy it?
Yes and No!
You see it can sometimes take time for us to stop kidding ourselves about what - we want - as appossed to what we'll do to get it. And why.
Ive been thru numerous domains, and failed, and I'm still here.
Havent made any life changing money yet.
But I'm still here.
Now 2 years and no articles tells you something.
Hope that helps in some way.
Hi
I have to be truthful here. I did super well with WA and local marketing. Then came along covid and that was the end of that.. My previous posts here in WA explain my journey.
I kind of lost my mojo.. My affiliate website superwealthyaffiliates.com took a hit with my disillusioned self for a while. I was involved with other projects and my time is now freed up again..
I am ready to start getting back into that website and writing again.. I was hoping for more of what challenges I would be faced with and if I could revamp it. I do believe I can but was hoping for more insight on how to best move forwards.
I kind of wanted to expand that niche and tie in some more of what the public asks etc. If you get my gist..
Thank you so much for your reply..
You're welcome.
Ah ok... I get what you mean.
I'd say just go for it then, pick up where you left off.
I was absent for 2 or so years from WA and returned.
Sometimes that break is needed, just to find yourself, especially if a person has multipal projects happening or wanting to happen.
All the best with it.
Also just had a browse of your site mentioned here and its looking really good, packed with helpful information.
Go for it!

I have a website I'm preparing to update for the first time in 8-18 years depending on the page. Yet I'm still getting visitors because Google is still ranking my pages. It will be exciting to see all that happens over the next 6 months. So even though you haven't updated in two years, you've got the foundation in place, so use it!

Hi Debs, nice to see you. I would personally contact site support as I once had a similar problem, and they were able to straighten things out.
All the best,
Michael
A reason for that could be ,so it was in my case ,that you have on certain pages , links added that are http instead of https ,which is called " mixed content" and that's why it says not secure.
Hey Debs,
Reach out to Site Support. They can fix it quickly. I don't know what it is exactly but I've seen others with the same issue and Site Support gets them fixed right away.
Hi Debs, This happened to me on all of my sites just recently. It may be a photo that is causing the problem. Go to whynopadlock.com and enter your URL. scroll down when it is finished analyzing and it will tell you what on your site is not secure. Then you can change the part that is not secure and it should fix the problem.
Please let me know how it goes and if I can help further.
Laura
It has a padlock Laura but still comes up not secure. I shall try that though. I have contacted site-support but they haven't replied which is unusual for them.
I shall let you know if that works Thank you.
Debs :)
In my experience site support will run that check and tell you to check the results. So if you do it then it may go much faster.
Laura
Haha, I love you Laura thank you.. It was one dodgy image lol.
You are a gem.
All sorted bless ya xx
Love you to girl. I am happy you sorted it out. I knew it would be simple. You got this!!!!

I am a little confused with star ratings in Google.
I know they changed how they use the star ratings in google search engines. I also useWP Product review lite.
Yes Debs, and Yasr Another stars rating is the one I am using.
Do pay attention to the changes that have taken place when using this plugin. There is a drop down list of options now. When you have an actual review, you need to select that from the drop down list within the WordPress post edit window.
Hope this helps you.
I've been looking at these plugins recently. There are other plugins that work with Google ratings. WP Product Review Lite does not from my understanding. And I'm having problems with it conflicting with RankMath. :( I'll look forward to seeing more answers here..
Paula
Hi,
I know Pedro uses Rank Math and he also has the Product Review Lite Plugin.
He has showed me snippets of this on Google when I caught up with him last in Live chat.. Catch up with him, Paula. He will help you with that for sure.
I am hoping also he will se my question as I need to pick his brains lol. Here is Pedros Bio page here in W.A.

Hi,
Not sure where to put this question as I have two questions in one.
Now it's on my understanding that once we are premium we cannot go back to starter membershi
Check out Triblu's answer. This is the most correct one regarding your referral's situation. Send her this link and let her read Kyle's instructions. What happens to my hosting if I cancel my membership at wa? Have her change from siterubix to a .com,
Then she can transfer it to any other host she wants.
She may have to pay for the new hosting but she can build up her website and if she wants to come back, she can bring the entire website with her.
Barbara
Debs,
I am glad you were able to help your referral.
I hope mine decides to stick around.
Barbara
Thank you Barb!
They will but if thy don't it simply wasn't for them but so many leave and yet so many return.
I reckon there is a massive return on members that never stuck with it the first time. Yet come back and try again. I see so many that do this..
That is why one never should give up.
Even with those that cause us nonchalance. They ware us down sometimes.. They shouldn't deter us from what we do.
I have been there done that got the T.Shirt. too.
I am still here. . ;)
Debs :)
Thank you Debs!
I sure you are right about people sticking around, going and coming back.
I'm hanging in, just taking a mental break.
Barbara
Hey Debs,
If you cancel your WA membership, Kyle explains here: What happens to my hosting if I cancel my membership at wa? Hope you find this helpful.
If she doesn't have her own domain name then it can be a bit tricky to migrate the website to another hosting provider. WP Clone would be the best plugin for her to use as it takes into account the change of domain name. If she has her own domain name then I suggest using both WP Clone and All In One WP Migration plugins. Full Backup With a Plugin marionblackonline.com/move
You are right. You cannot go to Free Starter membership when you upgraded to Premium.
Moving sites to WA is moving through the SiteRubix. The SiteRubix is WA website builder for free and premium.
Thank you so much for your reply Jimmy! Makes me feel good knowing I have answered the lady right on that.
You are all awesome.
Have an awesome week too.
Debs :)
you are right - the siterubix sites belong to wa and cannot be moved.
however they can take a backup of their work with a plugin like all in one wp migration and if they want to start from there somewhere else then they have all their work as a starting point
they will need to leave it a while as it will still be indexed at wa for a bit - but when it drops off googles radar they can add all the content to a new site elsewhere.
have fun
