I have every intention of hosting a couple of friends sites for them right here at WA. In fact, I've collaborated on a site that I've already built and am I'm hosting here for a friend.
There are many people who want nothing to do with building a website but need one, and they are not going to join WA because they have no interest in Internet marketing or building websites.
I see no reason not to host whatever websites we choose here. We are paying to be here, so there is no reason not to utilize those 25 free hosting sites.
WA is in my name, but since me and my husband work together his website is hosted here. I don't think it's a good idea to add friends or even extended family because you could lose out on commission if they sign up to WA.
Ik Who did told you this crap.If jou are the Administrator tegen you are the boss ,noyone can Tell you what's for the best!
I have no idea what your title is saying.
But, you can have 25 sites under your account so I do not see any reason why some of them would not be for family members.
If you want an answer to your question the title needs to ask the question, maybe ask a specific question on 'can we host friends or clients websites at WA?' or 'which is the best hosting for friends and clients of WA members'?

Lots of members host clients websites at WA. I manage more than 25 websites so I host elsewhere https://marionblackonline.com/hosting/

1. Have you ever encountered a situation where your posts get ranked but your pages do not?
2. What could be the reasons for this?
3. What could be the solutions
Unable to add tags to pages, only posts.
So I use the pages really for the basic menus (about me, private policy, product displays etc) and then use everything else as posts with lots of tags...
The posts can then be created as a custom menu and then added as a drop down menu or in the sidebar or footer
Now that could it Paul. Thank you my friend! I have noticed how important tags are in getting indexed.
As a matter of fact, I've had tags indexed before the actual focus keyword on some posts.
So what makes a good tag for pages/posts to be ranked? Do a keyword search to determine a tag to put?
Hi Paul, if you put your posts on the custom menu with drop down, wouldn't that be duplicate content? I read somewhere Google hates duplicate content.
I know there is a lesson on this coming in 9 mins, but I have issues getting ranked for my posts. As my website is still not fully fledged (some of my main pages are still pending for fundamental content), I have not aggressively pushed for more readership. I guess, the more posts I post, the easier for my posts/pages to be ranked by Google.
Thanks for the comeback Ming. The thing is, these are full pages and everything done right SEO-wise.
I don't think I went through that yet. I normally write posts because I can share them on social media sites.
Thanks Big Rog! Hey how is that working out? Are you getting much comments or feedback on Social Media? How about sales?
I can relate and I fully understand the frustration that can bring. I work at it when I can, all I can.
Keep on keepin on!
Your posts, obviously are optimized to make them good content. Your pages need to be that way, as well.

Why Do I Have A Locked Website Page Title? I was looking at link.davidandthegiant.com and this was one of the returns. What does this mean? Is it bad? How do I change this for
Fix your link. You have link.davidandthegiant.com
It should be http://www.davidandthegiant.com and it works.
Looking good. But first part, drop the "link." and everything works fine. Otherwise, the browsers say that the first link doesn't exist.
I don't know Eric that's just what it says. I included what I copied from Google's return and this is what it looked like...
"Lean On Me- When You're Not Strong" is locked ... - David and the Giant
https://davidandthegiant.com/lean-on-me/
David And The Giant. Learning How To Become A Giant Killer. Lean On Me- When You're Not Strong. July 3, 2017 by Mike Akers 8 Comments · Affiliate Links"
You mention google's return, but on what search? What site is telling you the title is locked? Did you get an email telling you your title was "locked" or is this something you looked up? Everything seems to be fine with your site itself, I don't see any issues.
I was reading some stuff on google console about indexing and optimization and it gave the address of a google search showing links toward your site. It had in the search bar (http://link.url.com) and that was the result.
Could this be a possible duplicate content issue?
I honestly wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't say anything negative and doesn't recommend any changes. You quote lyrics in the post and that's no big deal.

Well I've been wondering about a situation and I really haven't found my answers through the search bar, so I decided to through it out there to the community.
Can you
Make it the opposite - publish the text as a post and then it will appear in the blog roll, and you can add it in the main menu wherever you want, also in the side bar in the same time if you want so. It will always have the same url so all is fine, just internal navigation. Like entering a room through various doors (or windows if you wish).
yes, so pages are something that you normally use in your menu such us explaining what is your website about, private policy, your perfil and more. the post are the ones that you are going to be posting every day and sharing with people information about your niche!
Yes I understand but what happened was, I created a page with a post that I would really like to be only a post. Thanks Javiera for the help!
You WANT both posts AND pages to present a full website with plenty of information about your subject
I have a blog roll on my home page that directs readers to pages for subjects as they come up.
getridofboss.com
Hi Mike - I have done this a couple of Times - I have info on a page and then send that page out as a blog BUT I do add a word to make the title better and so give a new permalink and URL
Paul
When you do a custom menu, you can add pages and posts to a drop down menu as you need /want
I suggest...
create a post and add to your blog roll as normal
Then create a new menu, add to your sidebar / top menu, then add that post to that menu so it appears on your home page from a drop down menu.
that's what I do...
hope that helps...
(Don't copy as you will be penalised)
Why would u want duplicate information on your website? If you do this Google will penalize u for having duplicate content. U can create pages and posts, just do not duplicate your content.
U can copy the info from your page to a post and then delete the page or change the content.
No, your sitemap will be updated automatically. Once you have made the changes then submit your sitemap to Google Search Console. That should take care of any errors. The only error it might show would be a 404 error which is not that big of a deal but by submitting your updated sitemap should eliminate that issue.

If you are an affiliate with Amazon, I have a question for you.
Do you regularly post product links in your posts, or do you use some kind of banner ad in your side bar
Hi there
good question and some interesting answers down below
I use links in my pages and post..
i use Amazon Native Shopping Ads in some of the posts
cheers PB
It was strange that this should come up. I may need help with this. I just started with Amazon this week and am still trying to figure out a few things. Also, I know about Woo Commerce, but I am not totally sure how it works.
I am showing you my blog just as an example for what I did with my amazon affiliate program! I put a link on the side where they can shop for whatever they need in that Niche...just an example! https://www.nowthatimpregnant.com
HI Mike
I don't think it's advisable to donate a whole page to banners, the best thing to do is add links into your content as your trying to engage a visitor to go and buy through your website, Obviously it does not hurt to have banners n the side bar but my understanding is good content using specific keywords targeting your post subject will help get you ranked in the search engines.
Having a page advertising just banners would be counter productive.
I was also told t have your images on your pages either centre or to the right of your text.
Hope this helps but it is all explained in the training as well
Darren
I just downloaded woo commerce and have been creating a store on my site, and adding all my affiliates and amazon products that way.... but it is taking FOREVER to enter one by one items. lol
