About Howardc
Joined June 2017
I'm Howardc, and I live in western Kentucky on lake Barkley. I love to fish and visit the outdoors at Land Between the Lakes. I have two grandsons, and my oldest is 11. He can play drums with any band in the country. He's been playing since he was 4, and he is tremendous. Then my youngest is 8.
I'm married to a wonderful woman, Sharon. We have been married for 53 years, yes, that makes me pretty old. I majored in English undergraduate, and in education post graduate. I'm extremely active in my church and community, and Sharon and I are directors of a Celebrate Recovery group in Eddyville, KY.
I'm very competitive, hate to lose and love to build additions to houses and/or garages.
If I can be of service to you, please let me know.

Howardc: You are my kind of man, a God-fearing Christian family man. You are like may late daddy as he too was a builder, most unfortunately he was not a practicing Christian, so I pray for his soul though I know the die is cast. I am honored by your follow! I know Jesus is with you!

Hi, nice post! You should plan a fishing trip to Alaska! AM glad I did that! The Halibut trip was great!......at the time I went about 10 years ago, I caught enough fish to bring back, Halibut and Salmon in retail store price to pay for the flight and vacation stay there!

Went to Canada in my late teens, mostly in the Nipigon area. Was about a 150 miles north of Thunderbay. Went by boat across one lake, and then carried a 5hp motor and all our stuff to another lake which was about a two mile walk. Was a fun trip!

Once we rented canoes and a boat to carry ten and our to American Island. From there we rowed about five or six miles, made two portages and finally set up camp and fished for a week. One fantastic trip.

Personally I think those are the best kind of trips........a little work and effort, but great memories! You can still fish the UP Upper Peninsula Michigan and still have great fishing......there is a lake I know that my uncle had a cabin on....the DNR was crossing trout breeds, they were called Splakes! Large fish!

Hello Howard,♫Welcome! Nice to meet you ツ I wish you a lot of learning pleasure and fun on WA. Thank you for adding me to your network.

From the start, I have written training for every issue I had problems with myself. I made an addition for After The Walkthrough. Also a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. I just love lists:) It has been very helpful to a lot of people. I have listed them in one blog you can find on my profile. It's the first website link right under “Follow me on” (click on my picture to get there). I hope to help you with those.

If you have any questions, please reply to this message or leave a comment on my profile.
Success building your business in 2017. See you around, Greetings Loes

Thank you for your involvement in Celebrate Recovery. I led an addiction recovery group at my church for two years, but that was several years ago. Many of our participants were also involved with CR. We sponsored several people right out of prison who had participated in faith based programs while incarcerated. It was very rewarding. CR is a wonderful program and I witnessed many deliverances. I just wanted to stop by and show some appreciation for what you do. It is so important. My best friend's father was a prison warden in Oklahoma. His name is Jack Cowley and is now the National Director of Alpha for Prisons US, which is also a re-entry program which is faith based. Perhaps you have heard of them.

Have a great day!

Ms. Brooks,
Thanks so much for your kind words. I have been in prison ministry for over 40+ years. Inmates get the worst deal of all groups in the USA. Not only do they do their time, but when they are released, they can't get a job, many churches don't want them attending--I know, you won't find a church that will say that, but by their attitude towards inmates, they speak volumes.
My eBook, Choosing Recovery, is an online course that those trying to recover from any mistake, misery or (bad) memory can use. If you know anyone who would be interested, send them to habitshurts.com. I'll see that they get a copy.
Again, thanks for the kind words, and if I can help, please let me know!

Thank you Howard for the follow and many blessings to you here at WA. As a Premium Member you are probably aware of the AWESOME and FREE WA Keyword Tool we have unlimited access to.

This is the keyword research tool I have used exclusively after I became a Premium member 3+ years ago and it has helped me many times to find awesome keywords that have led to Google page 1 rankings.

I created very popular WA Training Tutorials, Part 1 and Part 2, on how to use the WA Keyword Tool for keyword research. If you have not seen it and would like to learn how simple it is to use and a little about keywords, click the below link when you have the time.

I hope things are going well. I know you are getting rolling within the training and there is ONE thing that always tends to confuse people and that is "what is my niche?".

I know, same thing happened to me when I started.

I just wanted to reach out and let you know that I am here if you ever want to run any niche "ideas" by me or you have any questions about finding your niche.

Get back to me when you get the chance! :)

Hey Jay,
I wanted to work in the area of Men's chemical dependency. I have written an ebook for help in this area. I'm not finding many affiliates. Bad choice or not? Thanks.
Reply
Jay Gumbs Premium
I'm not sure what men's chemical dependency is so maybe it's confusing to other affiliates as well. Not saying that the niche is a bad choice, but maybe it might be simpler to put it in terms of what people are searching for eg. "How to stop drinking alcohol" or "How to beat alcohol addiction".

Affiliates might be able to connect better with this simpler more straightforward description of your book and more likely to promote.

Thanks, Jay.
I wanted to address both alcohol and drug abuse thus "chemical dependency." I will use both terms rather than the one I have chosen.
Best regards.
