I did look to see if they were in stock and it did say they were, but you never know...you might be right Bill!
Thanks Katie! It was a lovely surprise, especially as it was from my newest site that I got the sales from. Didn't expect to get some from that site so soon! :)
yes it might take a bit longer for it depends if amazon are shipping it or if its coming direct from retailer
Yes, if the item has only been ordered recently, it will take a little while for it to be shipped and Amazon don't bill the customer until they ship the goods, therefore commissions for you won't show up until then. Once Amazon ship the item, it can no longer be cancelled, but up until that point it could still be cancelled.
Cancelling isn't common in my experience, but it can happen. So yes, congratulations on your sales and hope it all goes well for you.
How long has this been. This does happen with many payments and the actual process doesn't take place until the item has been shipped (that is the final stage in the transaction). You will receive the commission to your account when this takes place.
Last night is when I saw the item ordered. So I may need to wait a couple of days or more? That's good to know!
Yeah, definitely. There is a good chance it will go through without issue.
Congrats on the sales!

Hi, I almost did the same mistake to buy that, thanks I found the conversation here. thank God! Rink
If you are purchase a Domain Name, then you need HOSTING. I have NOT had such experience as you report, but MOST Domain Sellers like GoDaddy, 1and1 and other good ones, you purchase the Domain Name there, they provide Hosting and the SSL as well. You may need to ask Positive SSL who to purchase the Domain, if not themselves, from and go from there. Good Luck my friend,
Hi, LilButterfly, again! All I would do is GO BACK TO THE TRAINING ON BUILDING YOUR SITES, REGISTERING A DOMAIN AND DOWN SOME WHERE Kyle says where to find this stuff ...copy the numbers and slam them down in the little boxes. Buying a DOMAIN can be rocket science, if you let it. "Build My Website" above left brings it all down to the Kyleesque simplicity. Other than that, my good friend ...I just don't know! But I am only at 478 rank, you are already at 140!
I have been registering my domains via Crazy Domains but then chose to use Namecheap for my new website. I got confused with what they were selling...thinking what I was buying was just a certificate to show the public that my site is trusted...didn't realise till after I bought it that it was for those who actually sell products via their websites. I think the word 'positive' before SSL confused me.
My Dear Friend,
I have a lot of things to sell. Please, pretty please, would you visit my site?
Better yet, every day?
And don't forget to bring your credit cardS!

so you never bought a pair of shoes, or item of clothing that....oh no, better stop now before all hell is unleashed- hope you get your refund....LOL, Andy
Yes Andy, Haha! I might have?! ;-) lol I've sent an email, waiting for a response! :) Yes Karina...I agree! lol
Hi - an SSL certificate is specific to a web server, and the CSR has to be generated from the web server.
Unless you have direct access to the web server, you won't be able to generate this yourself. You would have to ask your website host to generate it. However, I doubt they would install the SSL certificate for you, unless it was purchased through them.
Can I ask, what do you need the SSL certificate for? Are you collecting any sensitive information? If so, you should perhaps have a dedicated server, rather than a shared hosting platform.
All the best, Mark
Thank Mark! I purchased it not realising what I was buying. Just thought it was a certificate to show that my site is safe for online users to visit. Didn't realise that it's only neccessary to buy if selling products directly from ones site. I may ask for a refund. I done this before...can't believe I made the same mistake again by purchasing something I don't need.
Hi - we've all done that - so don't worry - everything is a learning exercise :)

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem as me (get this message below) when logging into AWeber?
System Maintenance
Too late Bill, I had already created the form and placed it on my website before it went all weird on me...I won't use it for a wee bit now! ;)
Yes but not this exactly. I am experiencing a problem with finding my training levels. The admin is aware that there are some bugs in the system so they are now sorting it out. I would wait a bit. Things should be fine soon.

Thanks Terenzia, thankfully I had already created my form and placed it on my website before it all went weird on me! I can now just relax for a wee bit! ;)
Nothing to worry about. It's like Verizon......they don't announce their server maintenance schedule either

I'm really confused as to what spam is or isn't? I've had 7 spams so far on one of my websites, all of which didn't look like spam but had their website URL attached to them. Wh
Thanks for bringing this up. I've had some come thru as spam and less come thru as not spam. Like what Daniel said.
Hi, LilButterfly.-I have NO blogs at WA because all were found to be SPAM, even though I had run them all through my A-Weber auto-responder which has a great "Spam" analyzer for your content from 1 to 10. Anything less than 4 is "not" spam, but every thing 5 and over is deemed SPAM. My Blogs referred to here were all 1 or 2, which means NOT SPAM in A-Weber. So, I am NOT blogging here, though I have 4 other BLOGS which I blog at lease every 2 days and have NO problem. You may want to ask Kyle or Carson about your problem ...specially Kyle will tell you within 3 days what may or may not be your problem. I would guess that your blogs were DEEMED a "selling" effort to sell other WA of the community, NOT NECESSARILY WHAT UNDER OTHER CASES BEING "SPAM" PER SAY. I have been at WA only since Oct 22, 2013, so I am even below "rookie" here. The ONLY thing I would otherwise suggest is to respond to whoever told you you were 'spaming'! On the OTHER HAND, the questions you noted appear to me asking you to help them find "hosting", 'blog platform'! I know and use at least 5 other "hosting", "browsers" and "Blog Platforms". If whoever told yours were SPAM, if he/she are NOT WA members, go ahead and sell them what they want. If they are WA members, have them ask Kyle or others here! Good Luck!
Yes, there was definitely one trying to promote a product but what he didn't realise was that I am also promoting the same product through an affiliate program so was able to "advertise" one of the pages that I had written about the product in my reply. I think I know how I'm going to handle spam from now on, thanks to everyone's advice, including yours! :)
To answer your question, "What is spam?""
If your comment is from someone you don't know, it has a general, "I like your blog post" or "great job!" that sort of thing, and it doesn't engage directly with your content, it's 99.9% likely to be spam.
It's a dirty trick on getting people to accept the "kind thoughts" but in essence, are looking for easy targets to deposit their links for SEO purposes.
When I realized what these were, I then saw, that many people who have comments on their blogs, are almost entirely composed of this type of responses.
I wrote a blog a few years ago on here that will help you out. It will help you identify what the heck "drive-by comments" are...
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/daniel-euergetes/blog/drive-by-comments-avoid-them
It's fairly old but still accurately portrays what comment spam on WP is. It hasn't changed much.
Hope this was helpful to you :)
Daniel
Thanks Daniel, you've made it clearer to me about to why they deposit their links: "SEO purposes". I've bookmarked your blog post...the drive by comments are the ones I wasn't sure about. Great to know what to do now! :)
My rule of thumb is that if the comment can be cut and pasted onto any other blog post, then it is not relevant to my article and therefore is spam.
My personal favourite is to change their affiliate link to one of my own :D That way you can retain some of the not too bad comments, and not promote other peoples junk.
Ha! I like your suggestion! Brilliant! Good to know that I can change the link! ;-) ...*ten minutes later*...(re-edits comment) ...Just thought I'll let you know that I made some changes to my website comments! ;-) Heehee
LOL! That's funny, but it's also a GREAT idea! They can't go back and change them! Great way to discourage that sort of thing!
I had to actually go back and look at my blog post. I had the only one person who went there, DABK, one of the members I think is now gone, come up with a similar idea and yes, it is. You can do anything you want with those comments. If they have some stuff on there you can use, just change a word or two in it and either delete the domain and leave the name or, like was said on here, change it to yours, though doing this might not be the most ethical thing to do, it's up to you.
It's exactly why I said that this is up to you. I have added a link to a an extremely vulgar reply I got recently and posted it to show the person's unprofessionalism, but I don't make a habit of doing it. I usually just trash the comments.
In a way, I see it (personally) as not the thing to do repeatedly. It's sort of gaming the search engines for backlinks (in this case, turning replies into internal links.)
I thought about this after I responded earlier, and what if the search engines do frown on this? Search engines are pretty "smart" today and their algorithms are extremely complicated that not much gets by them. Maybe it is perfectly fine. Better safe than sorry when it comes to this. Maybe it doesn't matter at all.. It may be our sites we do this on, but it's in the search engine's grace that we get ranked on them and like it or not, it does matter what we do on our sites.
But to each his/her own. It was just a thought and not meant to be something off in left field. My apology if you see it that way.
I like to have genuine comments on my site and not those that have to be doctored up. Using the term "ethical" might have been too strong a word to have used here, but it's how I expressed it for lack of a better term. Perhaps that I feel a little funny about it might have been better said? I have removed the link from the reply I mentioned above, but that's because I had use in publishing it. It was to give an example publicly. Else, I trash 'em. Most likely, the person who wrote what he did never banked on me publishing his work of art.
If it discourages spam, then so be it. There are other ways to do this as Rich below, has pointed out with the two plugins he's mentioned. I occasionally will manipulate these as stated above to show others, not a good idea to use vulgarity on my website. I don't use these to gain SEO.
@Daniel Euergetes - When you change the link, you set it for an outbound affiliate link, not to an internal link. As for gaming the engines, your blog should have the comments set as 'no follow'. The spammers are looking for link juice. The 'no follow' attribute basically strips the link juice from the outbound link. Since you don't want the engines to consider your site to be spam central, you should be using a 'no follow' on all your affiliate links anyhow.
You should be using standard ad banners in your posts, since the engines can differentiate between ads and links. This way you can allow 'follow' in the post for internal linking. You then set the comments to 'no follow' if you allow direct linking. If you only allow an author profile link, then you can share some juice without a lot of repercussions.
Sharing link juice is detectable by others, and can encourage more comments. However, it is also identifiable by bots, so you tend to attract more spam comments. Identifying bot generated spam and changing the links to your own sites is no less ethical than the original spamming was.
Once you start to build up real traffic that leaves real comments, you can just trash the spam comments.
Very interesting points by all of you. I had the Akismet activated already and now have GASP activated so hopefully I'm fully spam protected. As regards to ethics, I see where you're coming from. I've removed all added links now rather than replacing them with something else. I think that's the best option for me! :)
Thanks for your input on alternatives for this issue :) Doing the no-follow thing would be the cap to the problem and an added defense wall to these idiots trying to game others' blogs.
Definitely go for the plugins Rich suggested. In the meantime, unless they are responding to the content on your page and actually adding to it (not just oh this was great thanks) class it as spam.
Thanks Michelle, that's a good idea to approve only those that are responding to the actual content on my page! I'll do that from now on. :D
No problem Rachel, I got the idea from reading a tutorial or post on here :) just passing it along.
You'll find that 99.9% of comments that include a link are spam. I recommend GASP http://wordpress.org/plugins/growmap-anti-spambot-plugin/ which will stop robots posting their rubbish and Akismet which will filter out the human spammers https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/protect-your-site-from-spam-use-akismet :) Rich.
Thanks Rich! I never heard of GASP. I definitely take on your advice and add that one! :)
It just adds a checkbox next to your submit button which only a human being can "tick", which stops robots dead in their tracks. :) R.

The bonuses offer wasn't the only reason I went for pro... I had only 3 more searches left on the trial Jaaxy. I wanted to go pro so I could continue finding awesome keywords. :
LilButterfly... what I mean is, is the keyword tool enough help to find the keywords that you need to get traffic? I realize Jaazy is better, but is it necessary? Is there a huge difference?
Yes, in the email I received from Kyle it gave an example of how ONE keyword helped him generate $1000+ per day. It can be done. I'm hoping to generate that kind of success! I suppose it about finding that 'goldmine' among keywords.
I've come across a couple but they don't make sense on their own. My problem is either everyone has it on heir site or it only has 100 or less searches a month lol. I have to find ways to get creative. But yes, searching is fun. Jaaxy - toys for big kids! lol
Yes, sometimes it's hard to find those keywords which is why I get so excited when I do! LOL It sure does require us to be more creative! :)
my domain name loseweightwithpcos has over 5,500 searches each month and only 172 QSR. When I saw the domain was available, I jumped at it lol. That was one of my best finds.
So Jaaxy just has more options? I really dont want to have ANOTHER monthly bill on top of WA right now and Im trying to figure out what the difference between the 2 is.
Hi Carrie, Jaaxy has a free 30 searches trial. Maybe give that a go and see what you think. I paid my WA Premium yearly, so my monthly Jaaxy payment doesn't appear so bad...but I know what you mean about paying for two things monthly. Finances can be hard to juggle.
there are two bonuses you get when you upgrade to either jaaxy pro or enterprise. They are videos that teaches you allot more on how to use the alphabet soup technique
Yes, you'll get emailed two training videos and a PDF downloadable file about Keyword Riches if you upgrade to pro. The offer ends on January 9th.
Am happy you did, explore jaaxy and begin to tap into those Low hanging fruits. Jaaxy is a great keyword tool
I'm going to do that first thing in the morning! :-) (It's gone midnight here in Northern Ireland).. The bonuses included a video explaining about Low hanging fruits, so I'm going to watch that first and then search for great keywords.
