About Internetgranny
Joined June 2009
Hi there. My name is Isabella and I live in England.

I was a member of WA a few years ago when there were no free memberships but I did not make good use of what was available and decided I could not justify the monthly expense.

When I received an invitation from Kyle and Carson to give WA another try, I decided to return. I have made a new commitment and have new goals.

As you may have guessed, I am no longer as young as I once was... but although I am retired, the day never seems to be long enough for me.

I enjoy taking my dog for walks, doing some teaching on a voluntary basis and growing my own vegetables. I am now using my experience to create sites for children's games and activities that will be fun and also good for their development.

I am enjoying creating content for my sites but am very slow learning the technical side of things. I have just started the Bootcamp which is helpful because it goes over the same sort of material again without making me feel I am totally going back to the beginning.

Thank you for reading and connecting with me here. I have already made lots of friends and really treasure this community.

People keep saying that but I think I only do what other mothers throughout the years have done an that is to protect and raise their children - maybe I am just too stubborn to accept defeat but whatever it is I use all my knowledge and energy to achieve
Let me know if there is anything I can help you with.
There is a webinar starting shortly - they are great to watch and Jay is so clear and concise and there is also a Q & A - you might enjoy that

Many thanks. I have listened to some of Jay's replays and know they are great, but it's now midnight here and if I stay up too late I'll be tired tomorrow. So I'll try to listen to the replay.

So very interesting to meet you. There are many, many internet grannies here, and internet grampas too. It's really the best time to do this (in my opinion) because you can devote more time to it.

Is that your chocolate lab that you enjoy taking for walks? He looks as though he needs the exercise and hasn't missed any meals! (Sorry, I have a 'Doggie' niche website and I'm currently doing a post on the best food for overweight dogs.)

Anyway, Welcome back and thanks for the follow. I'm following you too!

Yes, this is my chocolate lab. I just noticed that your website is about geriatric dogs. Mine was 11 a couple of weeks ago. She is a Labrador!! Have you ever heard of a Lab missing meals??? Didn't you know that it seems to be their mission in life to polish off their dinner until their bowl shines, provide the best 'pre-wash' dishwasher service and the best food-vacuum-cleaning service? :-) :-)

Thank you for following me back. I will take a look at your website.
Reply

LOL!! No, I've never heard of a Lab missing meals, unless it's to joyfully jump into the river for a swim. I used to have a black Lab. Such a wonderful breed... yes, they are lovable chow-hounds - no dishwasher needed!
So nice to connect with you. What is her name and what's your niche?

(Don't take too close a look at my website, it's still in its infancy.)

I saw your comment (and your smiling face) when I was reading Grace's (Littlemama's) post on my phone. I could relate to it and therefore pressed the 'follow' button without leaving you a message.

I look forward to seeing your progress too. And that lovely smile of yours!

How old is your granddaughter?

I've come over to your profile after reading your comment on Kaju's post and I want to say that my experience

So to you,Isabella, I say thank you for not only being here for us to share thoughts, but as an example that life's pursuits are gifts

Thanks for the kind words, Isabella!

I'm sure we'll get along just fine, your dog looks like a sweetheart.
I think you putting your goals in front of your age is so inspiring. Richard Branson, for example. He's now 67 years old and is training to go to space this year.

"Age is no barrier, it' a limitation you put on your mind."

I wish you great online success!

Hello Isabella, Thank you for following me, I now follow you. Please create some children's books and games that are Biblicaly based but don't sound or look biblical. Possibly this could help, through the children, for the world to start living a more moral life?????? Possibly the parents reading your stories to the children could learn to lead a more moral life also. Who knows? God Bless you.

Hello Isabella!

Thank you for the follow. I agree that the days are never long enough. What breed is your dog? He/She is adorable!

I'm also on the Bootcamp, and it is wonderful training. I think I'm getting to the part where it ramps up, and I'm both excited and nervous.

Wishing you success and happiness on your journey.

Good afternoon Isabella,

For me it is the same. A constant struggle with technology. On top comes I am a nature person and hate machines. I try to keep them to the minimum. I got a computer by the end of 2013, against my wish and will. Now I have 2 websites, who would have thought that.
Thank you for the follow. Wishing you all the best.

Hello Isabella,
Thank you so much for following me and for your comment on my profile. I am following you back and glad to meet you here.

I am headed over to my site to add a category for "Dogs" to my posts since your comment inspired me! My site is focused on cats but many of the supplements are made for use in both dogs and cats.

Yes, I happened to read somewhere, I think in one of your comments here at WA, that your supplements are for both dogs and cats. But yes, creating a category for 'Dogs' would certainly make it easier for any 'dog people' coming to your site.

Whenever I get to your site I'll leave you a comment, but it may not be for a couple of days.

And thank you for following me back.

I just added a category "Products For Dogs". Thank you for the inspiration to do this! I have several new supplements from the PetAlive brand that I have been using but need to add reviews for as well. That is the brand that makes all their supplements for both cats and dogs.

Thank You!

Thanks Isabella, not everyone gets my dry sense of humor :)

There are a lot of hurdles with a product launch, but I will get there, or die trying. This is the first of a few business courses we will be making, so maybe one of them will be a break through. Time will tell.

Now, I will go back to my corner.

Hello Isabella!

Stopping by to say hello. Hope you are doing fine with building your website. It sounds like a very good idea with a site for childrens games and activities. I suppose you have grandchildren and then you've got the best source of knowledge.

I have chosen a health niche. While waiting on further GoGetters-lessons I have enough work on improving my posts and writing new ones.

Wünsche Dir eine schöne Zeit und bis bald!

Hello Isabella, I agree with you. My daily routine is busier than when I was working a 9 to 5 job! Between trying to get this affiliate thing going and eBay and maintaining a household I seem to be going full steam and run out of time for the things I want to do every day.

Still, I do enjoy it.

Hi, Isabella. Nice to meet you. Love your screen name. Is that a chocolate lab in the pic with you? I used to have a black one. I trained her as a therapy dog, and we spent many happy hours at libraries and schools with my "Read to Raven" program. Lost her in 2014 to cancer. Welcome back to WA. Best wishes on your journey toward success. Thanks for following me. Followed you back. Carol

Hi Carol. Thank you for your comment and for following me back.
I saw a post or a comment of yours that mentioned your 'Read to Raven' program when I was using my smartphone. I was interested and quickly followed you so as not to 'lose' you. Otherwise I would have said hello on your profile page.

Yes, that is a chocolate labrador. She is now 10 and a half...

That's great. Glad we can keep in touch. My Raven was a black lab (as the name suggests). I rescued her when she was 6 and trained her for pet therapy certification. She was by far the best dog I've ever had. I still miss her. I have a black "pointador" that I rescued about a year ago. She's 1/2 black lab and 1/2 pointer. She has 4 speckled white socks and a white are on her chest. She's a very sweet dog, but doubt if I'll be able to do pet therapy with her because she is so shy. Carol

I followed you when I read a post by someone thanking you for a tutorial which I took a quick look at and thought it looked really useful. I then looked at your profile butI did not write a comment at that point because I was looking at it all on my smartphone, so I just pressed the 'follow' button so as not to 'lose' you.

Yes, the more I interact with people here again, the more I realize that I am not the only one who is a bit of a technophobe.

May I give you my idea for an internet affiliate marketing business plan for your candid appraisal? If so, I would like to send it to you via a PM, if that's o.k. You evidently have far more affiliate marketing experience than I, and I'm very interested in getting it right.

But please don't expect an immediate reply. It's just gone midnight here and I am going to bed now. (I have a physiotherapy appointment at the hospital at 8 a.m. and need to be up early.)

Yes I have enjoyed many years skiing but the odd injuries now take longer to heal so I am now following more leisurely pursuits. Do you travel back to Vienna very often?
Reply
Internetgranny Premium
I used to go back to Vienna often until about 5 years ago. My mother had cancer and I used to go back every couple of months to take her for checkups at the hospital and stay a few days to help with shopping etc. When she died we had to give up her flat and sort out her belongings, so again I went back and forth a lot. Since then I've hardly been back - had a hip replacement, heart problem and a few months ago a knee replacement... My daughter and her family will be going to Vienna during the October half-term holiday.
