I know, we have 1 million available at WA but some search KWs only produce about 8 photos!! Need more to choose from.

Unsplash.com - free images

Google images is another one.

Jim

You can also try pixabay.com as well, but, canva's better, however, pixabay is pretty convenient for finding and downloading and upload to your site as well. Just do not link their images to your own site as they call that 'hot-linking' and messes up your posts.

My new personal favorite is canva.com - found it today and it is the bee's knee's!!

Hi John,
There is plenty of image sites that provide CCO images, one of the ways to track down posts and training, related to our inquiries is to type the question in the search bar, at the top of the page.

I selected, cropped and saved 10 images from WA's 1 million.

Next found they were all stacked as ONE post in Site-Content. one on top of the other!

Q1(a) How to mov

You can actually save them to your computer. Just right click on the image, do save as and save to a file on your computer. Then when you need an image in a post just access your images from your computer. I don't build my post from Site Content but that is how I get an image if I need one.

Thanks for that. I don't use Site Content either so it's handy to have legal images from sources other than Pixabay.

Well I believe the image file is a compilation of images from Pixabay, Pexels and Unslash but it seems more comprehensive and you don't need to go out to a bunch of sites. I have used it quite a bit and have found lots of options. :)

Says it all in Q above

If you see a red envelope at the top right any page at WA then you've got a private message. Site Support sends messages to you through the private message system and you can reply to them using the same system.

Hi Marion. Thank you so much for giving me a clear and accurate answer. It worked. Meanwhile I still need Kyle's help to kill (at his file source) one of the 2 sites I built, then later deleted but its ghost still lingers behind Site-Content and causes me trouble. The precise stage at which I am stuck now (and have been for a month....wasted!) is to convince Kyle that the only Q & D way to solve my problem is for a WA staff person to go into the folder WA MUST have,,,listing all the domains that end in .siterubix.com
and destroy the one I thought I had deleted.
I am only sharing all this with you because I bet you never heard of a ghost domain (my term) before and someone else might raise the same issue.
OK?
Thanks again
John

Go to Site Rubix > Site Manager https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites and see if you can see the website you no longer want. Click on the Details button at the bottom right (not the one at the top) and scroll down all the way to the bottom. The very last thing is the 'Delete This Website' button.

Think twice before you delete it because you may want to use it as a test website to try out different themes and plugins without breaking your real site.

Hi Marion
I clicked om what you showed me and surprise...so that is what everyone is talking about! I seem to have post speeds all in the 90 to 100. Sounds good, unless 90 is bad, 95 is ahaa and only 100 is acceptable???
2ndQ should I copy what I clicked to see my speeds, or do I have to type it out each time I look?
3rdQ (apologies) How often do you look at post speeds?

Thank you for being so helpful
John

Are you still figuring it out yet Jean? I think you can look up to the right side of your profile. See that red icon with an envelope on it. If you see say 1 under the envelope design you may have a mail for you. Not sure if that is what you want answered.

About 10 minutes before I answered you I saw your profile.
I'm a caricature artist. I had to do your profile, hope you like it.

Not to worry Jean if you don't like it you can dump it!

Here's to you my friend and ohhh Happy New Year Jean!

I like that (young looking) deep sea fisherman. Wish I still looked like him.
Thank you for the Christmas gift!

You are very much welcome my friend!

It's the landing page when you first sign onto Wealthy Affiliate. So if you are reading this response, look to the top on the right hand side of the screen. It's the grey box with a letter on it. That is where you would find a response from Site Support. The are usually really fast at getting back to you.

Hope this helps. :-)

Do you mean where can you find the answer to your site support question? If so, you can find the answer to your site support question on the top right hand side of the WA page. Under your mailbox.

sorry Lisa....I don't understand...
What/where is "the WA page"?
What/Where is Your mailbox"?

Good question, most likely canada were headquarters are.

I don't actually know but assume Canada for some reason.

Been doing it 2 weeks+ and so far nobody can help.

Switching to writing posts in Site-Management...it gets published

but the # of words etc never shows in Site-Con

Featured Comment

So you cannot publish through SiteContent? Did you manually change your password within your Wordpress account for your given user?

If so, that may be the issue here and you may want to reset your password for that user within the SiteManager page.

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/content

Let me know if that fixes the issue here.

Hi Kyle. Thanks for your response. I have tried going to Site-Manager to get a new password,(about 6 times) then clicking on Publish again.Refused again so I correct to match my new password again and again. Nothing is correcting this.

What sort of error message are you getting? Also, which article specifically is this happening for? Let me know and I can look directly into your account and see wha tis going on here.

Error Message is...
"Error: This password you entered
for the username admin is incorrect.
Lost your password?
Username or Email address
admin
Password
************
O Remember me Log in"

The article is
"Do you want to Retire Happy?"

Do I ever have problems with passwords?

Thank you for your prompt reply

...Me again, Kyle, forgot to mention
that when I get this error message
the password I retry is the one from
Site-Manager.

thanks again

You should never need to login from SiteContent. If you cannot login through the SiteManager to your website either, this is something that you want to submit to SiteSupport.

I suggest creating a hosting support ticket here:

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

You can also find this within the SiteRubix menu under the "SiteSupport"(to the left). This is where you should go if you ever have loading issues with your website, email issues, plugin/theme issues, or if you accidentally do something that adversely impacts your website.

This support is 24/7 and upon submitting your ticket we will look into it right away John!

I am just guessing here, but I'll bet its something really simple...

If it's not resolved yet, send a ticket to SiteSupport..

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support

Good idea, Patsy...BUT
I send in a question using SiteSupport.
Next day (super fast) I get Msg back, sending me back to SiteSupport for their response...
I go there and....WHERE IS THE gd Response???
Tried all the buttons. No response. So I send another question at SS and we go thru the whole farce all over again.

When you get the email, just go to your PM messages and the reply is there. The email is just letting you know you have a reply.

If you are still having problems, you should refer this to Kyle, who has already answered and I'm certain will get back to you on this.

OK I'll give it a try.

Like to know the answer

I have contemplated for weeks between the two platform, Site Content and WordPress ( Site Manager) regarding this very issue.
So What I did was literally copied all of my content from WordPress ( Site Manager) to the Site Content so as to get the number of words count. As you already know once there you can re-check your spellings and grammar.

Once I find a better resolution I will let you know. Please stay tune!

Thank you for your help. When you say "contemplated" do you mean that you were also getting repeated password refusals?

I am very weak on computer knowledge!

Second question: How do you copy a post from Wordpress to Site-Content...I need this step by step. eg Do you first open a place with, say, title only in Site-Content...then go to wordpress, select your whole posting ,,,click Copy then go click inside Site-Content
just below the title only spot????

Hi Sidney, there is a count in WordPress for your content, its right below it :)

Yes!

I read your comment that you take your content from WordPress to SiteContent to get the word count. I know it's pretty small on WordPress and easier to see it on SiteContent :)

Have you tried to reset your password from the site manager screen. I had a similar problem trying to reply to comments but I reset the password and that solved it. It might be that you are trying to publish under a different user (such as your own name) and the computer is remembering your Admin password. How are you logging into your site from Site Manager - through 'admin' or another name? It will be something logical like that I'm sure. Let me know if that has any effect. Fingers crossed.

I never use my own name anywhere in WA. When I tried changing my password, I did it only at Site-Manager, then again tried publish to get me back to the refusal box. It obviously had refused so I then inserted the new password and it repeatedly refused it again.

To answer you Question, if/when I am in Site-Manager and want to
see my website it is printed small top left in site-Manager and one click gets me there.

Good points Gail!

My posts have realigned to be most frequent post at the top,

But I want the opposite. How do I do that, please?

I would imcorporate them into my menu somehow.

I understand what you say. You could have very engaging posts that are delivering awesome results: visits, comments, conversions, etc. But these posts could be published long ago and with time get so far back in the blog roll that it’s difficult for your visitors to find them.

But I also agree with BobBarr. I'd propose two options:

1. You could set the post you want everybody to see when they start navigating your site as a page in the main menu.

2. Set that post on the side as "Most important posts". To do so, follow these simple steps:

The Custom Menu option is now gone Henry ... :-(

Ohh! I'll have to check that! Thanks Trish!

At the bottom of my post, I have added 2 plugins. Feel free to add them to your tutorial so that your training stays up to date Henry. Would not want to see great training go to waste.

Hi Jean,
I concur with BobBarr, you might want to rethink your posting tactic. But that is my personal opinion.
Cheers - SF

[personal opinion follows]

That's probably not a good idea -- People are looking for fresh content. A returning visitor won't want to scroll through a bunch of older posts to get to your newest one.

There are only four, and the first (now in 4th place, ie Chrono)
is written as my "about me" and strictly as an intro to the whole site.

There are only four **for now**. As you continue adding posts to your site, you will find that there will be a large number of posts "in the way" of your most current content.

Hey John,

Providing your blog roll is your home page...
Go to your Settings > Readings > and select Your latest posts

See screen print below...

Hope this helps you.

Yes Trish it is my home page and I only want to reverse chrono on this page. Also all 4 of my posts are what I call "Click to continue"
so it only takes 2 seconds to read all four powerfull headings, with phenomenal emotion scores...right "off the charts" Humph!!!!!
