They call me James...James Beam. The username is a pseudonym.

But, you can call me Jim. Just please...please...don't call me Jimmy.

I finally left the business world and now, I am trying to be self-sufficient as much as possible...promoting relevant products in that endeavor.

I've been adding affiliate marketing links to the Product Reviews section of my website, https://perfect-vegetable-garden.com, and, I'm currently adding content and images to enhance the visitor appeal. I'm getting ranked in Google but, it's at least 2 or 3 pages away from where I want to be. I guess I'll keep adding to the 100,000+ words of content and 100+ pages and posts I currently have and hope Google starts seeing me as a mature website soon and rewards me with PAGE 1 status!

Any website feedback (by private email) or comments (on my website) that you offer will be reciprocated in kind. My website is: https://perfect-vegetable-garden.com.

I also have a Google+ account! Check it out: https://plus.google.com/u/0/102204623004220988877

Thanks, for taking the time to read my bio!

Hi, nice to meet you! I love your niche!

We are in the middle of reviving our garden, here. We've been slowly building veggie boxes to raise our produce higher off the ground from our marauding dogs. We were inspired by pictures of online wooden palette projects. I know, a cliche, but they're free and so readily available here!

When those are done we have to pace the garden and measure out a design for a DIY watering system - parts to be ordered online.

Then we plan to clean up the pathways with a DIY concrete path mould.

In-between all these things, there are many other to-do lists, but our first point of advice and ideas for fixing things in the our garden has been online, and on sites like yours. So - thanks!

Thank you, I will.

Hey, is there a temporary tech issue with your site BTW? I just tried to visit and got this message from my Firefox browser:

That is a bit strange since my website is secure (HTTPS). I just tried it on Firefox and it was working fine.

Wonder what caused your visit to my website on Firefox to misfire?

Doubly strange, since I can’t replicate the error on my phone! Perhaps it was only a fleeting issue out backend...?

Good afternoon Jim,

Reading your bio I see you would like Google to see you as a mature site. When I look at my Site Health I see I am on 60% Trust, I think that is quite good. After some months I went .com and then one starts all over again with all these things. I once read that if one makes 10% per month one will be 100% by the end of the year.
Where are you? am curious to hear.
I always say this to new people I meet. Have a look at my WA post on the Spanish priest and the world library, there you can find amazing documents which are helpful in writing posts.
Thank you for the follow and all the best.

Regards, Taetske

Hi Taetske,

I'm currently at 70% Site Trust and in the next week, that should go up to 80%. I try to keep all my other numbers at 90% or above. Right now, they are at 100%.

The Google Search Console...Search Analytics...is showing that, for 30 keyword combinations, my pages show up within the first 4 actual Google Search pages...with 10 of those keyword combinations giving my pages either first or second page status in a typical actual Google Search. Of course, these are "averages" over time.

When I double-check the validity of these keyword combinations in my own manual actual Google Search, I find that these "averages" are sometimes not even close to being true.

So, I have learned that, in the Google Search Console, the "Search Analytics" numbers should be taken with a grain of salt.

Hello Jim,♫Welcome! Nice to meet you ツ I wish you a lot of learning pleasure and fun on WA. Thank you for adding me to your network.

From the start, I have written training for every issue I had problems with myself. I made an addition for After The Walkthrough. Also a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. I just love lists:) It has been very helpful to a lot of people. I have listed them in one blog you can find on my profile. It's the first website link right under “Follow me on” (click on my picture to get there). I hope to help you with those.

If you have any questions, please reply to this message or leave a comment on my profile.

Hi B.....,

Sorry, I only see the first initial in your name. You might want to add it to your Bio.

Hey, thanks for the follow. I'm the same as you. I haven't added affiliate links yet. I have a go-to list of affiliate products, but I'm focused more on providing as valuable of content as I can right now to build up an audience. I think that is a wise. Otherwise, we get distracted.

There 's a great community here. I hope to see you around in the conversations.

Hi Jay,

Thanks for checking in. I'm moving into lesson 8 tomorrow and, looking at the last two lessons overviews, I don't see any references to "how to add affiliate links to my website"...once I have some substantial content and some traffic.

Is there a separate video about adding links from affiliate programs that I sign up for?

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

This is actually within Course 3, Lesson 4 (Adding Affiliate Links to Your Pages).
I've attached a screenshot for reference.

The reason why this lesson is 'far down the line' is because we want folks to focus on building content and rankings BEFORE adding affiliate links.

Jay

Hi Jay,

Thanks for clarifying. That leads to two other questions:

1) How many courses are in the certification program?

2) Are all of the courses available without the premium membership?

Thanks,

Bob
