Once you have written quite a few posts, you will start to note that some of them are ranking really well and some of them not so well. In my experience I have posts ranked for certain keywords on the first page of Google and others on the tenth page.

On the other hand, we have posts with which we really feel identified. Posts on which we have worked a lot and they have given us the best conversion rates (or any other desired result). Otherwise we simply like the way the content is written on them, we like the call to action, we like the images on the post or any other reason. We like these posts so much, that we would feel happy if every person that visits our site takes a look at them.

But instead, we have a blog roll where the first post is the latest, and not necessarily the greatest post in our repertoire. People land at our site thru a lot of different routs, depending on what they were initially searching. But once they are on our site we would like to present onto them, very subtly, these posts because we know that the stats are on our side once a visitor starts to read them. So, here we are going to learn how to pin the list of posts we like the most onto our sidebar.

OK, so without further due, let us jump right into it:

Creating a new menu

1.) You must log into the back office of your Wordpress (also called Wordpress admin area). To do so, you go to SiteRubix, then SiteManager and click "Login Now"; or you can go directly to Wordpress.

2.) Once you are inside the back office, you must go to the menu bar on the left and click "Appearance" and then click "Menus".

3.) On the "Edit Menus" tab, you must select "create a new menu".

4.) In "Menu Name" give the name to the New Menu that you're about to create. We could call our menu what ever you want. It could be Awesome posts, Important posts, or any other. The name of this menu is only for organizing your menus in your admin area. The name you set here, will not appear on your site. Latter on you will be asked to give this menu a title. That title is the one that shows on your site. For the sake of this Tutorial, we will call this menu: "Popular Posts".
