Hello Judy,Thanks for the follow some time back. I am just active again and read this post of yours and just checked your site. You certainly need a site makeover as says Alex. This relates to your theme appearance, your menu, contents, choice and placement of ads banners. I happened to read the article on cure cancer - vitamin B17. Too long - almost 4 thousand words. Keep articles to 1500 words. Avoid controversial statements like those at the end of the article. I also see that you do not have social media integration yet. I think I will send you some guidelines which I will later on post to WA. Soon.
Think about it...800,000 WA members, all trying to do the same ...make $$...plus all the others creating websites all around the world. How many make it to page 1 or 2 on Google? How long will they be able to stay there on page 1 or 2. Seems the competition is really steep and if you're not well versed in website building , we don't have a chance of getting noticed. Many have great writing skills, but lack the tech knowledge absolutely needed to make a website spectacuar. To be successful in this google run website world, we have to have a particularly great website. And constantly work on it, promote it,improve it ....there is no end to the care needed to keep your site current, relevant, and profitable. If you're up to the task, stick with it. If not, move on.
You don't have to have a spectacular website: look at the front end of Amazon. The back end is something different, but the front is nothing all that wowing. But you don't need to be the next Amazon or Microsoft to make some money off the Web, you can be the corner grocery store and still make a decent living. Some of the most successful WA affiliate sites aren't 'that' good in either writing or content, but what they do have behind them is perseverance and longevity. A lot of more talented folks fall by the wayside who don't possess that, and it's not necessarily the 'best' that make it. Anyone who works a job with a manager can attest to that.
I've seen a lot of folks give up and leave WA, not through want of trying or a lack of effort, but because they never get any constructive criticism from the WA community. It's like everyone's so deathly afraid of being a 'bad' community member, or 'unsupportive,' that they prefer instead to let the people down genuinely seeking advice with the usual platitudes to just keep doing what they're doing - even when it's clear that's not working. Which is terrible advice in my opinion.
I can see you've put a lot of effort into your site, and you're passionate and knowledgeable about your niche... but it reads as dry as dust. There's personality in your WA blog, I see 'you' coming out, and I like that :)
But it's not there in your niche blog (from the samples I've read).
I don't get the sense of how your advice has helped you or your friends or family. Or how the health issues relates to you, or your personal experience of them?
Sure, it's a technical/medical subject that requires demonstrating a reassuring expert understanding of the science, but that just leaves us with a checklist or a lecture, instead of Judy.
I think a more conversational, personal, style wouldn't go amiss, on what are personal health problems after all. I want to feel that I'm reading the blog of a person who 'knows' what I'm going through - or has just perfectly described it, in words I couldn't find, in the language of "over the coffee cups."
Which also makes it easier for you to segue into your affiliate recommendations, and easier for me to follow through on your advice because I trust you, and feel I know you.
Your blog layout is kinda 'scattered.' I think you could pull things in and sharpen up the look and user experience: make it easier to browse and stay on. It feels a bit late 90s/early 2000 - even though it's sitting on the latest version of WordPress. I know some of that is maybe a lack of familiarity with WordPress and how to customise it, but you could fix a major "trust" element to your blog just by addressing that in my opinion.
And this is all my opinion, and not intended to hurt, and I don't pretend to be an expert or doing any better than you.
You've put so much work in, though, that I think (as I said above) it'd be letting you down not to give the honest opinion you're seeking.
Best,
Adam
Hi there
I would suspect that you speak for a lot of us here at WA
we are all on the same ship and this question appears from time to time.
You have gotten some good answers down below and they all pretty much says that it will take time and patience
I know you are 12 months at your project
Perhaps if you PM Kyle or Carson and ask them to run through your website....they may be able to give you some pointers and offer some wise words of advise
Best wishes and keep going if you possibly can
cheers PB
It appears you base your site only on social media. So it is hard to .say much, and besides do not know your niche.
But if this is about organic traffic then remember this is about big numbers, so to have any chance you must have a lot of material on the site.
To have visitors in the first place, you have to be ranked well. And realistically you can rank well only if QSR is low; but low QSR means low traffic, so you see the issue. You need hundreds of posts, some will be ranked high, and only those will receive visitors. If you sell stuff from Amazon, then roughly 1% of your total number of visitors may buy something. You get the point; it is tough.
Do you have a call to action on your articles?

Hey Judy,
Making money as an affiliate depends on the niche you selected. Google search "how to find a profitable niche" (without the quotation marks, of course) and read through some of the posts offered there.
Also ... you HAVE to have quality, unique content. A website cannot just publish any old content and expect it to be read much less ranked anywhere near Google page one.
And ... you may also gain an advantage by watching the following video: How Long Does It Take To Rank & Make Money!? Hope this helps you.
From what I've gathered from fellow colleagues here at WA, it takes a while. There are many factors to consider. Sometimes its to do with the products you are promoting. Maybe, its to do with traffic and conversions.
All I can say is don't give up. Continue to write more content and go through classroom lessons. Also, ask for website feedback.
Reading other members' success stories also helps.
All the best!

Hi Judy
I hear your question and you have some very good answers in the comment thread. I have had a quick look at your website, brilliant domain name by the way, and you are building it out with some excellent content.
I hope that I don’t offend you but just few suggestions, it is about continually tweaking things sometimes little changes can make a big difference.
A quick analysis of your site, I see in the comments section of your about me page you do not seem to have an avatar, and the comments are made by admin or Judy , I am sure we get more engagement from having an image, so the comments are made by Judy and there is a pic of you shining through it helps.
Looking at your site there appear to be about 82 links most of which are internal, of those I see about 5 which are actually promoting an offer or product, most appear on your about me page perhaps revisit it and look at crafting out the story behind living super healthy tell me your theme song. What is the message you are bringing, not straight into the sell, just a thought, get me the reader to invest my time with you.
I went to a post just out of interest.

Ok, I am a man so have an interest in prostate health, ok I am getting the gist of your post, reading away, I was genuinely interested…….. no place, to place a comment at the bottom of the page.
Ok, you have clickable links on the page,
Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin seeds and pumpkin seed oil aid prostate health thanks to their high content of carotenoids
Ok, they take me nowhere.
I came across another post, really good post.
https://livingsuperhealthy.com/detoxifying-essiac-tea-will-fight-cancerclean-liver/
There is a clickable image to go to the product, which takes me here, I guess that they will develop the site in due course but I won’t be purchasing anytime soon.
https://www.rawfoodandvitamins.com/vitaminshop/original-essiac-herbal-tea.html
If we want to make money we have to promote offers that hopefully are congruent with the content and I see it so often so it is more common than what we think. We can also get too diverse in the message that we are bringing.
Just a few observations, folks say keep going but at the end of the day it comes down to looking at the technical aspects.
Perhaps do a site makeover,
Look at your links where are they taking folks and what you are actually promoting
Are those links working, you link to a site it pays periodically to check these links.
In the writing, ask yourself the question what am I wanting to promote or if linking internally how am I adding to the conversation of this post or am I just putting in a looping link, taking the conversation nowhere.
Basic to the training what are the keywords that I am trying to rank for with this post.
I see in your question you ;
Im on fB & Twitter, & pinterest...nothing
I don’t see the opportunity to share your content anywhere on your website, add a plugin that will give folks that opportunity.
The whole social media thing is about working out our strategy are we promoting offers or do we want to bring traffic to our websites where our offers are. If we want to benefit from SM we need to actively and consistently engage
I hope that this is helpful just some thoughts that may help you and in no way to offend, don’t feel alone because we all get frustrated from time to time.
Thanks Alex for this great post. I wish you should have little time to look at my website and give me some advices.
Hi, Susan good to meet you, creating our first website is a learning curve for sure and a definite work in progress we can all feel alone on this journey when we try to get things to work or cross that money-making bridge.
Reading your profile gives an understanding of where you are and your goals and aspirations.
Just off the top of my head, a few suggestions don't want to swamp you and they are only opinions..
I see that you are using generate press, they have a very active community on Facebook, a source of good information and help, perhaps you could join.
https://www.facebook.com/groups/generatepress/
I see that you suffer from MS and sense that you are not going to let it beat you, that in its self is such an inspiring and motivational message. connecting that message to that of creating food, could be really empowering, especially for folks that suffer from it or that have loved ones that suffer from the condition.
You have a wonderful opportunity to explore this, how to enhance peoples lives and offer and share suggestions for how folks cope, the things that they do to increase the quality of life and so it goes, basically you are expressing your journey, I would say that there is a huge audience out there waiting for you to bring your message.
So perhaps change the direction of your site a little bit to focus on your journey and what you are doing to effect change in your life.
I really like that message on your site;
I may have MS but it does not have me
That cuts to the core of it so empowering.
Just another thought I see that you have a facebook fan page have you thought about setting up a facebook group, they can be slow at the start but from observation, some really strong and active communities evolve from them, vibrant and dynamic, just come up with a name for the group that relates to your core values of using food to connect and relating to MS, folks that have the condition or are connected to a person will relate and share, linking that to your website your traffic should increase dramatically.
The thing about Fan pages people can only like them with groups people can join and share and the thing is that you as the originator have control over the direction of the group.
Start with one social media platform and build from there, it all takes time.
There are two aspects to social media on a website, on the one hand, we want folks to share our content, so perhaps the addition of a social share plugin may be helpful and on the other side we want to drive traffic to our websites through the appropriate links, the best kind are links to content and then the placement of an affiliate link in that content.
I see that you have issues on your site with the links that you have there, so a little work to be done there.
Have you checked out
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/comments/requests
and the Need website comments? the give and take comment thread both great ways to get some engagement happening on your site.
Probably too much and I hope that I don't upset you, much respect for your journey and how you are defining your future.
Best wishes Susan
reach out if you are struggling, sometimes it can be about formulating a strategy on how we are going to best connect with our targeted audience.
Hi Susan, glad to be of help and all the best hope that your birthday went well.
Just a thought, Jennifer (potpiegirl) had a really good post about affiliating for Amazon and probably we need to lock one in first before moving on, from observation Amazon want to have an exclusive relationship so if you have passed the three sales and have been accepted as an affiliate then move onto Ebay or vica versa kind of thing. Amazon Affiliate? Trying To Make Your First 3 Sales? Read This. To create a Facebook group:
Click the arrow top left corner of your Facebook home page in the top right of Facebook and select Create Group.
Enter your group name, add group members or invite folks to join and then choose the privacy setting for your group.
Click Create.
Once you create your group, you personalize it by uploading a cover photo and adding a description.
To upload a cover photo for the first time:
Click Upload Photo to upload a photo from your computer or click Choose Photo to choose from your Facebook photos or your group's photos.
Click Save Changes.
To change or reposition an existing cover photo:
Hover over the cover photo.
Click Change Group Photo and choose a new photo or reposition your photo.
Hope that this helps,
You are on the right track Susan, it just takes time and we can shorten the process by doing things right, just chip away at it, look forward to reading of your successes.

Just keep in mind that your WA ranking does not put money in the bank. Your websites do.
So if you have to prioritize between maintaining your site and maintaining your WA ranking, choose your site.
I had an epiphany some weeks ago when I was hunting for top 200. As of now, I simply don't have time for as much community engagement as a top WA ranking would demand of me.
So now I have set aside +/- half an hour per day for connecting, helping out, and answering questions. The rest is dedicated hard work. And my rank may go where it wants.
I've kept my rank to around 590 by just answering questions on the Live Chat, reading blogs and commenting and answering any replies. I haven't done many posts here nor ask too many questions, but I do participate by staying in touch with the blogs from the community and that seems to keep my rank at where is at.
My ranking tends to fluctuate due to the simple fact that there are days I am active within the community and days that I don't even log on.
I just learned from Course2Lesson10 about the ranking system. If you press on the blue rank button on the top of your profile pic, it shows your data and gives you an idea of what is happening in regards to Helping, Creating and such. Just look at the data and see what you might be able to work on. I hope this helps.
I see you've written only 6 blog posts and 3 questions since October 2016 Write more posts, ask more questions, this will lead to more comments on your posts and questions you can like and comment on.
Start with that, and it will be a snowballing effect - the rest will take care of itself. hat's if you just want to improve your ranking. But he WORK you do on your business is much more important.
I guess we all want to 'Rise through the Ranks', but rather create a balance between working on your website and being active in WA community. On a lighter note , in the military an officer's rank increases through activity , interaction etc ,and in WA the rank decreases by the same.
J Haugland says it correctly. I get even more negative about it sometimes. The more you interact with the community; the longer it takes you to finish your lessons and work on your site. We are paying every month for hosting and lessons. The longer it takes you, the more money WA and your sponsor can make.
Kyle's training in the Certification program outlines how to improve your ranking within WA. Building Your Own Traffic Producing Website Level 2 I hope this helps. Keep studying and it will all come together.
All the best to you.
Susan
Mine is doing the same thing and I have actively been working on my website. I try to engage on at least 3 posts a day. I haven't been as active welcoming members. I need to set a better goal with that. Maybe that will help. It will all come together though, Judy. I believe that.!
The WA algorithm is based on yours and other people's activity. There were days when I was extremely active but my rank only moved one notch.
In spending more time in the community (creating posts, leaving comments, welcoming new members, etc) your ranking will improve, but if you make that your focus, it will may just drive you crazy!
I think that I have found that answering questions seems to be more valuable than commenting on blogs.
Make sure you 'like' on comments on your profile and interact with as many blogs, questions, and comments as you can.
This begs the question, however, how much are you getting done on your website(s)?

Start with one social media platform and build from there, it all takes time.
There are two aspects to social media on a website, on the one hand, we want folks to share our content, so perhaps the addition of a social share plugin may be helpful and on the other side we want to drive traffic to our websites through the appropriate links, the best kind are links to content and then the placement of an affiliate link in that content.
I see that you have issues on your site with the links that you have there, so a little work to be done there.
Have you checked out
