I live and work in Mauritius. I graduated in management from France the early 80's, and became a chartered certified account (ACCA, UK). Presently my wife and me are running a business restaurant in a technology and finance park. Prior to that I was finance director in a telecom company until 2015 and have also worked for a number of years with a big 4 accounting firm and other local business consulting firms. I have been an active professional English to French translator for the Canadian market , technical writer and corporate trainer. Now I wish to embark on new undertakings like web-based business and hydroponics. I started some ebooks in the field of entrepreneurship and business management for small and medium business owners and young entrepreneurs, and aim to launch a web-based knowledge platform for young entrepreneurs in Mauritius -. a way of sharing my experience with the younger generation.

Hi Joe. Good Day. Thank you. Hmm,,, I rejoined WA a few days ago after two years absence. I am also trying to rethink the projects I had 2 years back. You know google, mobiles, responsive themes etc... technology evolves so quick. So this time, seriously, I think I will have many things to share.

Nice to hear that! I have same determination ... Need to start somewhere. I never reached the stage of a live website.. The obstacles were (1. obsession for a 'perfect' website (2. procrastination (3. Information overload. I think that we must start it simple; and that's what Kyle teaches us at WA. Stick to the process to start with, then move forward to more complicated projects. We have to choose between 'perfection' and 'success'; define S.M.A.R.T goals and keep track of our progress.

I am a management and finance Trainer and these are for my trainees (in downloadable PDF). I want now to move on things more like positive psychology, mindfulness - that is closer to our humane side. It is written in memoir style and is to help people start and run a "successful" janitorial company. It is titled: "From Airplanes To Burnishers: The Story of One Family's Transition from the Airline Industry to Janitorial Entrepreneurship, With Hints, Tips, and Instructions." It also has a lot of photos in it. If you are curious, you can take a quick peek with the Look Inside feature.

Thanks Maxiam. Here in Mauritius we study in both English and French from the cradle. Natively we also speak in a "broken French" - Creole. Also since we have a cosmopolitan population - other languages are spoken, like Hindi, Urdu, Mandarin, Tamil etc. Well sometimes its complicated... we can have a tendency to speak mixing English and French words.

Thanks Carson. I have just adhered as premium member and registered a domain with namecheap - wpaffiliatemarketer.com - I will use this site to promote wealthy affiliate, while at the same time blog on affiliate marketing using wordpress. My next step is to register a free account with PowToon for prototyping video presentations which I will showcase on youtube and on my site for the promotions. In parallel, I will then start creating my website and start writing blog articles. Your comments welcomed on the domain name.

If you are a writer, you immediately have an advantage within the online world. Success online comes down to choosing a niche and then working to become an expert within that niche through your content.
One thing that I have learned over the years is that you earn a lot more money writing for yourself than you ever do writing for others. If you can help someone in any niche, you can build a business doing so and that is what we are going to help you here with at WA.
