I have been here at WA since the year ending 2015 and I don't regret it.
It seems like yesterday because time has quickly flown by. Like I initially said, my immediate goal was to gain experience in using the WA programme to be able to run an affiliate marketing business. With the ultimate aim to become self-employed and become a boss of my own.
I have been very busy ever since, working with the speed of a whirlwind. To be honest, I have really struggled with managing my time. Time has never been on my side to catch up with the ongoing WA training, giving a hand here and there to a fellow member, catching up with all emails and chats going on non-stop. Just being on top of things, really.
The most amazing thing is I have learned a lot and there is still a long way to go. We are living in a constantly evolving world. So, to keep on top of the game, I definitely need to be constantly on my tiptoes, continuously learning and applying it. That’s where the WA comes in. I see it as an Institute of lifelong learning.
In terms of my personal attributes, I am a creative person interested in applying my artistic skills, developing new ideas and producing imaginative and original work. My educational background lies in social research. I have worked before in a researching and administrative environment.
I love reading, writing, gardening, travelling and watching documentaries.
Update - 3 July 2017
I stopped being an active member since October last year after getting myself entangled in a full-time and very demanding job that took all my time. However, I have learned some valuable lessons from that experience.
Lesson learned - for any WA member to experience real progress, he or she must invest time into the programme including the training and putting it into practice.
I have been back since April this year and picked from where I left.
Update - 9 September 2017
I briefly went abroad for 2 weeks. Internet connection there was slow and poor. I completely gave up on doing anything on WA.
I got the shock of my life to find my Rank at 1000 + which I had left below 400.
Goes to show- how busy is a platform called WA. Hats off
4 February 2018
Just to give an update on my progress or lack of it. The year 2017 went too quickly. I made a very wise decision for the first time and paid my annual premium at a reduced Black Friday promotion.
This means I will have undivided attention just to focus on my projects.
Update June 2018
I have been procrastinating to write an update. So many things have happened in between. I threw in the dustbin some bad habits that had crept into my writing.
In the haste of making it happen overnight, when I started, I used to write very short posts. So, I have been busy all along revisiting not all, but most of them, rewriting to meet Kyle's recommended number of words per post.
Update 9 July 2018
I have been going through Jay's webinars. They are a Must-Watch. There are certain habits that creep into our website work without us even noticing it or understanding why we do certain things. For example, just throwing banners or Ads that are not related to our niches.
Update 9 August 2018
I have been busy reinventing my articles and remaining active on social media posting stuff. By social media, I mean Google+, Facebook, Twitter & Pinterest. I tried Instagram... not my cup of tea. Its beginning to pay off. I can't believe the gradual increase in traffic on my websites:)
Update 24 August 2018
It's high time I wrote an update. I have been buried under a pile of goals: writing content, revising my old content to make sure everything is spot on. I am pleased with my progress so far and traffic continues to grow unabated. Fingers crossed. I hope I will not do anything silly to upset Google:)
Update 29 August 2018
I have just noticed it has been a while since I posted a blog, left someone some comments on their website or do something in the way of paying-it-forward. I feel guilty, to be honest. Hopefully, I will spare time for this.
Update 30 August 2018
I finally shared some flyers I made on Canva platform and a few tips.
Now I can carry on with my work with no ping of guilt.
My analytics report says my figure of New Users, 92, is significantly higher than had been focused. The work and effort is beginning to pay-off:)
Update 24 September 2018
Its late at night. I deliberately stayed up late to iron out some few issues I spotted on my websites, once and for all. Guess what I have just found out? Content I created when I just started out, most of it, has no keywords in the first paragraph. No wonder why progress was stagnant.
After receiving so much training here at WA and continuously putting it into practice, finally, my eyes have opened. And I can actually see. All mistakes I was blind to, are now bare in the open.
Update 17 October 2018
I have been extremely busy tweaking my old content to make sure I applied all the hints and tips from training. Time is of the essence and I do not have enough of it. The good news is traffic continues to grow.
Update 12 November 2018
I had completely given up on email marketing but Jay emphasised its importance in his webinar. Finally, I managed to get hold of the Easy Sign Up plugin, to begin with. At least I have something to use for my contacts. I will move on to something more advanced later. It's better to take it easy and do the little steps that matter. Who said Rome was built in a day?
Update 12 December 2018
Time flew by and I can't believe the year has come to an end but creating content goes on.Long Live Content!
