YES! Thank you! I have been looking for that for a while now but I had mistakenly thought it was an article idea generator not niche research. I will just have to retune it for my own purposes :)

Look at the footer. That site is now a subsidiary of Getty Images. Getty is infamous for going after small business owners for even the most innocent of breaches of license or copyright. All it takes is one image contributor making a complaint.
The fact that the site is now a subsidiary of Getty is enough to keep me far away. ~ Jude
I can't get any response from them despite trying to set up about 5 different accounts. I am done with them. Next....
I've just registered with my gmail account, will report back shortly letting you know if I get a confirmation.

I have just done my first author interview which was pretty cool. (by email ) Read a great book you like and then get the chance to ask the author some questions, nice!

That's just G R E A T, Josh! Like some one said about the Bikini -- let it be wide enough to cover the essentials, but brief enough to make it REVEALING! I would first "Edid" each question to see if I could make the whole shorter. Then I would check which, if any 'questions' might be redundant and eliminate them, if possible. But, REMEMBER, authors/writers are people who like to write, they equally like to read ...so give yourself some "license" to be 'complete'!
tell em what they are going to get upfront, tell them you are telling them, then tell them you have told them. LOL Seriously you can go long, but you pretty much need to make some promises up front and give them the heads up for what is going to come their way. Andy
Yes, I agree with ahri, Josh, the most important questions which are related to his books and a little about his personal life. If you make the style a 'Q & A'format, you'll most likely to limit the number of words. Good luck.
I think you can clip a little with most important questions and by putting up answers in your words(but keeping the meaning/essence of what he said the same)...

I am going nuts! I am sourcing photos of face painting from face painters and getting permission to use them. That's great, I get photos I can use and they get some exposure.
Definitely yes, Josh! The consent was given to the photographer but not to you. If you want to use the image, you have to ask permission from both the photographer (because that's his) and the parents or the subject as well. Every schoolyear, we fill out this form to make sure we have the parents' permission to take pictures of their children and that we are allowed to post them. Too much hassle, heh.
I have found one face painter who is checking with the kids parents to ok it. Pretty awesome of them but no one has said yes yet. I can't see many face painters being bothered to do this for me.
All photographers have to get what is known as a Model Release form for every picture of a person they have. The model has to consent or parent/guardian for their image to be used. Model release templates are available I will post a couple of examples I got from web on my site.
It can be quite annoying as I have pictures from a recent trip to Africa of Massai warriors but I reckon they don't mind as I asked at the time but the laws with some photo comps and other institutions require the release forms, it's a bit of a minefield, no definitive answer.

The link is at the bottom of the page just named Model Release, there is a few different file in a zip file for you to review.
Hi Josh. I started purchasing my images a number of months ago and I gotta say they're worth every penny. I don't go checking for copyright, permission, or consent. And I don't worry about getting a letter in the mail from someone's lawyer. It's an investment in your business.
Sometimes while you're searching through the images, wherever you choose to purchase them, you see one and say "I gotta have that one cuz that's what I want to write about." And bang, you have your image and your post. A picture is worth a thousand words...and cheap to buy.
Josh - you can guess I am going to agree with Rich here. You're wasting time. Suck it up, pay a little for some decent images and then you won't have to spend all this time trying to find decent pictures. It's just not worth the hassle - it really isn't.
Yes. First and foremost, you need the photographers consent, as they own the copyright. If the child is "identifiable" then you need the parents or guardians to have signed a model release form http://www.fotolia.com/Info/Releases I'm afraid you know what my answer is going to be Josh... http://www.bigstockphoto.com/search/face-painting-children/ If you haven't already done so, see if the Bigstock offer is still open https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/rich/blog/ok-this-is-disgusting-just-ugh and the cancellation deal https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/rich/blog/ok-be-a-sheeplewussy-but-don-t-join-the-circus :) Rich. x

What are the legalities of taking my own photos of the interior art/images of a book and posting them on the review page? Is it ok or still need author/publisher consent?
As per Indian Law you need to get a written permission from the publisher of the book. It is under copyright act, thanks.
It's always jurisdiction dependent. I'm "guessing" that in most places, since any "art" constitutes an entire work, as is the case of a photo, then you would need permission. It's likely the book probably states "no unauthorised reproduction", etc. :) Rich.
