Using someone else's logo is illegal and an infringement of copyright. Favicons on websites are 16 x 16 pixels and there is a lot of free software available to make them. I use them on most of my websites: 333websites.com whitewitchcoven.com freeandcheapebooks.com (a work in progress) lookinggreat.me (has my photo). I just found out about favicons, what they were, and how to create them. So, maybe people are like me as they begin. The way I found out was by sending my website for feedback and Matt Thomas gave it as a suggestion. So, that's one way to get the word out...by giving it to people when we give feedback on sites. By the way, those were good examples, Marion. And thanks for asking the question, dw13. Also, by searching favicons above, I found a great training that was really simple to do!
