Hello Kyle. Hope all is well. I am under the impression that we are not allowed to actively and directly sell on here, is that correct? I think it would be great to have an out

Featured Comment

Yeah, we don't allow any promotions here within the community. The second we allow this sort of things, it would attract all sorts of spam and subsequently people would get taken advantage of. Something we are not interested in, and it would ultimately hurt the platform and community.

We keep the community here at WA a safe place for anyone to learn how to create a business online, advance their business online, and provide an environment where you can manage your business (or several).

If you want to promote anything, keep these external of WA as we do not allow any form of promotion within the community.

Thank you for the feedback Kyle.

Hi Tyler, over the years, some folks have made similar suggestions. Everyone comes here to learn; what has developed is a very nurturing environment, and that in itself, creates the opportunity for people to learn in a safe place, and most importantly feel safe.

That is the thing that makes WA unique in this space.

When we go online, there is a buy now button around every corner. It is a breath of fresh air to be able to come here and not worry about being marketed to every step of the way and being presented with offers around every corner.

For many members that join WA, their experience is limited. A sales page or suite would create far more problems than it would solve. Seriously it wouldn't take long to devolve into a spam feast. Newer members would be taken advantage of and leave. It would change the whole dynamic of the platform.

As members, we are not allowed to promote or try to sell to other members; this serves the platform and community very well.

A saying in business never sell to your family and friends; they no longer are your family or friends. They now are your customers.

How would it roll? There would be a gazillion Ebooks this week, next week a heap of PLR, products and next week the latest offering from JV zoo and Warrior plus "next minute" your WA, PM inbox would be flooded with offers from " new members" who joined only to sell to others, without contributing to the platform and community, and also members, only too keen to make money off of their fellow members with their make money by lunchtime promotions.

Fortunately for us, Kyle and Carson, have the foresight and vision to create and continually develop a platform that is geared up to teach people how to make it in the online marketing world.

Long may it stay that way.

Our markets are out in the wider internet communities.

Just some thoughts.

It is always good to brainstorm and reflect on ideas?

Hi I suggest you ask of this directly on Kyle's profile space to get a response from him - He does check this feed regularly

https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/kyle

You may also want to reference this question link to read notes.

Thanks Abie. That's what I thought I was doing when I wrote this. That is why it is addressed to him. I am not sure why it didn't go directly to him, and only him. That is exactly what my intention was.

It sounds like a nice idea but it would end up being abused. There have been too many instances of spammy promotions in regular blog posts - perhaps unwittingly in some cases but a few people always try to take advantage.

Lol Yeah, I think I have come close to crossing the line once or twice... haha

Thanks Dave

Hi - that is unlikely to happen. People would join the platform simply to promote rather than to learn.

And say if 30 members were all promoting the same product. How would you decide who to buy from? It could lead to a lot of ill feeling.

The whole premise of this platform is that it is spam-free. No self-promotion is allowed.

Hello Diane. I get what you are saying, and I respect that. And that is why I understand it being the way it is.
(Btw, I appreciate that we are chatting about this.)
What if Kyle and Carson were able to tie the "Sales Campaign" page closely to the activity of WA's members and what stage they were at in whatever particular way? I don't know... just brainstorming. What if having access to a page like that was one of the rewards for moving along in the process of building an online business? And that would include, let's say, the completion of all training to qualify.... ? What do you think?
And I don't think it is a big deal if there is a bunch of people selling the same product. I mean, there are a bunch more people selling the same product on the bigger landscape of the web—outside of WA.
So, I agree with you 100% in at least one regard. I don't want to be sold to everywhere I go on WA. But I would love to have the opportunity to make the choice to click on a page like 'that' knowing full well what I will be walking into and being sold to there. :) Oh yeah... you bet! Bring it on, and bring it in! ;) Drop some links to whatever and shout, "Come buy!" and not just, "Come by." You feel me?
Either way, I am good. I appreciate WA and the network. I am just making a suggestion.

I mean, I see some of you with thousands of followers right here on this platform, and I'm like, surely, if I was able to reach out with a post on a page advertising the great book, "The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life"—'come buy, not just "come by"', then surely, I would have some decent chance of some number of those people buying that fabulous book from my site. ;)
You know what I am saying? I mean, WA is like a GIGANTIC farmer's market! 'Yes, everything you see here is for sale...'

We will have to agree to disagree! As regards completing all the training to qualify, it is perfectly possible to literally tick every box without actually doing anything. That would show the training as complete.

There have been over 2.5 million subscribers here, and at any one time, there could be tens of thousands of active members. Imagine if they all posted dozens of links each every day. The platform couldn't sustain that amount of activity.

It's an interesting idea but it's not going to happen.

Thank you Diane. :)

Btw, that is the book I am reading right now. ;) Are you reading a book at the moment? Lol :)

That's a joke. Don't answer that...

Seriously though, thank you for connecting. I appreciate your time.

Cheers

I am an avid fiction reader and have over 5000 books on my Kindle! I don't watch TV, I read an entire book every night, usually of the dark fantasy genre. Nice to meet you, enjoy the rest of your day/evening.

You read one book in one night? Are you a speed reader, like for real? Warren Buffett was a speed reader... Is that you? That is so cool...

Well, if I don't read back, have a good rest of your day/evening to you as well, thank you.
P.S. But please do get back to me about that 'speed reading' business. I am very interested. Drop me a PM if you prefer. And do not hesitate to drop a line on my wall on my profile page, and if you want to follow Diane—you are welcome to do that as well. :)

Hello. I am having difficulty finding free images for book titles. I have checked a bunch of web sites but have not found an image for the book I am looking for. Any help wi

Try
Wikimedia Commons
Pixabay
Shutterstock
etc
I had a simular quest and just googled royalty free images. After going through a ton, I found what I was looking for.

I have bought a couple of images as well, but not many.

Mike

I've tried those. Haven't found what I am looking for.

Do you know any way to find out if an image is copyright? Because it doesn't always say if it is copyright or not.

Try amazon :) of course as an amazon affiliate

Can you use them as an amazon affiliate?

I'm not 100% sure but I have seen blogs with the entire ad on people sites including of course the picture- maybe go take a look at the amazon affiliate agreement

So, ultimately, for example, if I I wanted to connect with traffic about where they can buy a Taylor Made R5 Driver, I could in one of my posts have written somewhere 'buy a Ta

To write successful content that will bring in traffic - always start with the keyword research - Jaaxy is an awesome tool for that. Analyse the competition. Pick a low-competition keyword that sounds like a normal sentence you would put into google yourself - grammatically correct.

Put that in the title of your post.

And then also have the keyword appear once in the first paragraph of your article. Then continue the rest of the article writing naturally about your topic.

Additionally, you can have the keyword appearing somewhere else in the article again. Just make sure to avoid "keyword stuffing"

What else?
You can make your title a little bit more captivating for the reader to click on by adding something to it.

Check the google results list for your keyword to see what the other bloggers are doing. It's always good inspiration :)

Yes you can. That what is called CTA (Call to Action). Most importantly is the content has the keyword you are trying to get ranked for the post. If it is a very competitive keyword, go for something less competitive related to the keyword.

Here how to do that >>>

Think from the other side...
YOU want to buy, or are looking into buying, a new driver. What would you type into Search to find a driver? A R5 Driver?
The key word brings traffic (and it may well be "buy...") to your site where they choose to buy from your link or not.
I may well have just confused myself, but I hope I helped.
