Hi Dave I created a list and made a contact form on aweber so far I don’t get any spam on it on any of my sites Alternatively there are a few anti spam captcha plugins in the backoffice if you search plugins in WordPress.

Hi Sotiris.
I've installed the honeypot plugin that Louise & Abie suggested to see how it goes.
Thanks
Dave

Thanks Abie. Will have a look.

Hello! I just wanted to say thank you! I had the same issue and having installed the honeypot plugin, so far it works. Thank you :)

The same thing has been happening to me on a few of my websites for the last couple of weeks. It must be the "new thing". At this stage, I'm just group deleting them, but I'll get around to investigating a software solution.

Hey Dave,

The following video may offer you the help you seek: Hope this helps you.

Hi Dave,
I had the exact same thing a few weeks back and was also on the verge of deleting my form.
I use a plug-in which is super easy. No configuration required and you can change the code frequently to stop spammers. I’m using this one :
WP Armour - Honeypot Anti Spam
Hope it helps

Hi Louise
Thanks very much for the suggestion. I'll definitely take a look at it.

Thanks
Dave

You’re very welcome.
You may find a few still get through but they stay as ‘pending’ and are deleted automatically after 30 days. Keep regenerating the code frequency.
I’ve seen an improvement on my Aweber form.
All the best
Louise :-)

Great stuff Louise. It's good to hear that it worked well for you. I'll let you know how i get on with it.

Thanks again
Dave

My pleasure. Yes please do.
Louise
