I have used yahoo as homepage for many years. Is there another that works better?
I have many stalls, and lockups ,as well as not responding
You do need to invest in your business, and using the computer to access WA, researching information, writing articles is your business. You however also need to be realistic, buying a new computer would be a good business investment but only you know if it something you can afford to do right now.
I am sure a new computer will assist you in your quest and may very well help you reach your goals quicker. Computer technology is moving faster all the time and becoming cheaper. The memory on a new computer and the speed of the processors would be far superior to that of a 7 year old computer. This alone would probably stop a lot of your existing computer problems and that's not even giving consideration to newer and updated software.
Even saying all this you are the only one that knows your purse/wallet and financial position. If at present you feel that an up to date computer will over-stretch you too far, use it as an additional driving force to get your WA blog-site to earn you the money to buy you the new computer you need.

If you are saving files locally, make sure you have a backup in case the computer packs up.
