That's the whole idea you use an affiliate link to send someone away to buy from that website. Only if you are selling your own product should you keep someone on your website to buy from you. If it's an affiliate link you need to send them away to purchase from the affiliate website.
Yeah but what I am trying to do is for the link to open in another window so that they will still have my site opened in a separate window should in case they want to click on another affiliate links. At the moment, if you visit my site, educationalchildrentoys.org and click on one of the text link under the heading "Sites you must visit", it will open it in the same window, now let say you want to come back to my site immediately you enterend the affiliate site, you will be able to do so by just hitting the return button but lets say that you've viewed several pages on the affiliate site and you want to come back to my site that might not be possible.

The site looks great. I'm not sure about the links that are attached to the images. You may want to check that out.
I notice your links take you away from your page and you don't return to your page when you close them which can lead people to buy elsewhere. Can you embed these links and just include links to which you have affiliations? Otherwise the site is great.

You can add the side pieces when you sign up for one of the ad publisher, the details are in the level 3 course. The one that I signed up for is infolinks once you've signed up, you get to choose what you want display on your site and thats how I got it. Its really easy to do.
I like your website and everything is great. I don't know much about selling physical products--so, I'm not the one to give you advise.
I do like the checkerboard and pieces. That's not a regular checker game. It's call the international checker board. American checkers has only 12 pieces each. The international boards have 20. I love both checker games. And by the way, what makes you think that checkers is a simple game? Have you ever played a master checker player? I'm a master checker player and I beat chess masters all the time. :^)
You have wonderful content, Mary16....but I also agree with Trialynn...perhaps you should play around with that border a bit. The light pink border with that pattern...I don't think it helps the website.
Also...maybe break up the content with some more pictures. :) Have a wonderful evening. *Melanie*
In my opinion the pink border does not go well with the bright colors of the toys. Needs a few more pictures, but overall looks well written and has good info.

There could be a number of things that are causing the errors. Here's a link to a video that explains the errors better and could help you. If you're already inside the Adsense site, it's OK to put your credentials in again. But first, check out this link and see if this explains things a little better.

I am totally confused. I need a more specific break down, step by step on this process. I keep getting to ad display preferences and then get lost on adding title to the ad and not sure what I am doing at all. Who can help?
Sorry, not quite sure on your specific question, but when I have gotten stuck on something I have reviewed the WA instructions to find what I have missed. Best of luck and make it a good day:0
Not had this happen. Just update your Adsense account with your Google account.
Optimization happens with a change in content and the number of Ads on the page (especially above the fold).
Make sure you have added text with the image to diversify CPC and CPM. Complement them with your color palette and to your site.
If you can incorporate the three preferred units of ads, you will increase your optimization too.

Not had this happen. Just update your Adsense account with your Google account.

Oh, yes, I just received a comment from the same person. I checked his URL, and this is exactly it. If anyone knows Greek (?), Russian(?), Polish(?),not sure what language it is, but I think it's more Eastern European. Anyway, it didn't show up in my comments box, I just disapproved it and deleted it. Thanks Mary.
gosh it looks like russian probably spam akismet is free however I think they ask for donation
Akismet is free. Carefuuly look at where the pricing is and you will find a check box that lets you use for free.

I have checked it over and over again, ts definitely not free, you have to sign up for one of the monthly plan price to be able to get the key to use it
It is free. You just have to make sure you choose the free plan. When I signed up it was done by slider. You had to actually slide the meter to 0 to not pay. It definitely has a default price set. I had a bit of a hard time with it too, in the beginning.
I got the same thing and deleted it. From time to time people will want to attach themselves to your posts -- I take it as a sign that my posts are showing up on top spots on google. Best to look on the bright side.
delete it, its spam and worthless... and I agree with crp2511 get some pglus in to try and stop them.
You will get regular spam to your site, you need to install the akismet plugin to stop this. kyle does a training somewhere

do you have to pay for it? when I click on activate, A box with a message came up saying that "Activate your Akismet account" and when I clicked on that it took me to where to choose a price monthly plan. It says it free in the training.
Looks like spam to me. I ran a translate on it. It's russian. Looks like a step by step setup to make money.
Just spam, you can trash it.
Look at it as a good sign though as the spammers tend to hit when you are climbing in the rankings.

I have been given some code by "infolinks"(Ad publisher). the instruction is to copy and paste the code right before the closing</body> tag but I don't know where to find

Did infolinks give you a time frame? Just can also simply send them an email telling them you have completed their instructions and would like for them to activate your account!
But if you want to put your AD on one of your website PAGE...
Put your ad codes inside a div. Then put the whole thing just below the <body> tag.
Put codes here...
If that is an ADS, no need to edit any files from your header.php or theme.php. All you have to do is go to...
APPERANCE-> WIDGET -> ADD text(arbitrary text or HML)
- Below WIDGET TEXT, paste your javascript code to the empty space BOX and select which POSITION(1,2,3,4, etc) on your sidebar you want to put your AD then lastly, SAVE WIDGET. Hope this helps.

Most themes will have a footer.php file - go to Appearance -> Editor -> footer.php
Scroll to the bottom, and you'll see the closing body tag, followed by a closing html tag.
You can paste your code just above the /body tag.
Just for info - there are many recommendations on where to put javascript code - some say the header, some at the top of the body, some at the bottom.
In my opinion, I go with the bottom of the code, before the closing body tag. That ensures that your pages content is displayed first, giving your visitors a better (faster?) experience of your page loading.
Some Javascript can be large - and if a users browser has to download all that code, which may have nothing to do with what they see on the screen, then the site could appear sluggish to display pages. And you don't want anything to put off your visitors.

1. Please be advised to Backup your website before you attempt editing any file in your website as a precautionary step. From WP >Tool > Export - to backup complete website files.
2. To insert your code...
From WP > Appearance > Editor > edit the header.php, normally you can find the <body> code at the header.php.
thanks for the advice Fred. I've just done the back up now..that's a vital piece of information.
I found the starting of the <body> but I cannot find the closing of the body which supposed to look like this </body>
but it says right before the closing </body> tag and I can't find anything like that in the header section.
The header it's always before the body tag (http://www.w3schools.com/html/html_head.asp). In the header you will find the header section, and the body will be inside another page. Open the header.php page and add the code inside it.
